1. Your gold coins remain in whichever region you earned them in and can't be used outside of them.

2. You can't change regions if you have an eShop balance, so you can't lose your balance anyway.
 
I'm fighting the urge to rebuy a bunch of the Sega Ages titles AGAIN, but I am weak.  Phantasy Star, Lightening Force and Virtua Racing are calling me.  E-shop you fiend!

 
Thanks for the heads-up on Trover! Also picked up Gain Ground, since the cheaper Sega Ages stuff costs just about the same in Mexico.

Picked up My Friend Pedro, Unraveled Two, and Pine from Argentina for $14.94 (+325 gold coins) and Trover from Mexico for $2.49. Had enough gold coins saved up to get Puzzle Quest ($7.49) free. Nice eShop BF ^^

The only game I have played from that group is StS. Easily my most played game right now across all platforms. I have over a thousand hours probably. I can’t seem to shake it either to play my backlog. Not sure if you have played any card games before but if you have and have any interest at all, it is the best single player one for sure. Easy to pick up hard to master. Every run is different. Let me know if you have more questions.

As far as I know:
-Mexico lets you use your money through Paypal.
-Argentina/Chile/Colombia/Peru don’t have a Paypal option, but accept American cards anyway.

I think once you look at Europe and Asia you do have to get prepaid cards for those regions.

The NS is region free, and I must say when "N" went this route( fuck FINALLY), it was balls to the wall, as I've even been impressed, and for me, that's saying a lot. Since it is region free, your allowed to use whatever region you would like, and this allows for conversion of funds. So as long as you have the proper account set up in said region, paying is just a matter of using an international payment option, which is just about anything.

Now as far as I can tell(as I haven't done any of this yet), some shops offer codes, which Argentina happens to offer US ones, so that's the benefit there(as well as cheap games). But some other regions actually download the game directly, so in those cases your getting the EU/Japan version of said games(or whatever region you happen to be part of).

Now I'm not sure how DLC and updates work, as the Vita was region free, but certain things did have a lock behind them. So that's something to be aware of in regards to shopping outside of your home region as well. But so long as you know what your getting, I love how getting games from other regions for cheap is a thing now. As shit like this would have helped their last few home systems and then some, but better late than never I guess.

I don't mean to add insult to injury, but I just found out about this, and I think that I'm going to put the $2.75 on my Target Circle account toward this game when I buy it online to knock the price down even further. But what is it about this game that makes everyone want it so badly?

It’s a price error on a fun game and its DLC that never gets discounted either way.

Updates are pretty much universal, but DLC is iffy. Some stuff works, other doesn’t.

I was able to use a $5 Target e-gift card from Bing Rewards towards the purchase of digital Snipperclips and the DLC on Target.com, but it would not apply my Target Circle balance since I wasn't purchasing a physical item.  But for $5.52 shipped, I'll take it.  :D/

 
I forgot to mention my random observation: I've been waiting since launch for Prison Architect to go on sale, so this is the first time it's been on sale, if you're interested. There's just not enough tycoon/management type games for the Switch. Give us RCT 2 or Tropico or something.
 
How do you go about getting games from Argentina? I really want Divinity 2 and $30 is a great price. Can someone help me figure it out? I am in the US.

Slay the aspire is probably my most played game this generation. I have it on both Switch and Xbox with Game Pass. I have played at least a hundred hours of that game.

RAD is a fun rogue lite with cool style and soundtrack and interesting mutations to change up combat. I’ve only played for about five hours but really enjoyed it so far.

Hyper Light Drifter is amazing one of my favorite games I played on PS4 and I plan to buy the switch version because of the extra content. It has a new area to explore and a new boss. HLD gameplay is super tight and it to me a masterpiece of game.

I own Ys but have yet to play it. I have it on vita but haven’t started it yet it’s in my vita queue. I’ve heard nothing but praise for the game.

So in conclusion you really can’t go wrong with any of these games it really depends on taste and what you like but all four are excellent games. Highly reviewed and respected.

Just create an entirely separate account and you don't need to mess with switching regions. They email you codes so its not like you need to switch regions so it links to your main account.

 
So do people think Ori is likely to have a better sale price in the future? If I was going to play it right away 30% would be great so close to release, but it will be in my backlog for a while honestly. Should I reasonably expect sale prices similar to what we've had with Hollow Knight or Child of Light?

I'd go with Odyssey first over Crafted World at least. Yoshi is pretty decent IMHO, but very laid back and not very hard. I just like collecting all the collectibles and leisurely going through stages. It's better for a later on purchase unless you really want a laid black platformer. It works wonderfully handheld though so that wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the info. Crafted World would be played during a break from more engaging games. Thoughts on Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze? I forgot to ask about it in my initial post.

Are you looking to get digital versions of those games?
Amazon has codes for Super Mario Odyssey, Breath of the Wild, and Yoshi's Crafted World for $40 each, which is as cheap as they are going to get in the foreseeable future.

It might be a long time before one of those will even go on sale again, so it’d be a good idea to buy the codes now and redeem when you receive your system.

Edit: Tropical Freeze as well.
