My only complaint is that the Switch version changes the controls from the Android, PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions. Is there a way to move jump to the B button and the fire button to the Y button instead of using A to jump and X to shoot? Somebody really screwed that up when they ported the game which is a shame because Gonner is one of my favorite games to play.

Bastion seems to be an insane deal for $2.99.  There's no physical copy of this, right?  I guess even if one does come out I'm only out $3.

To be fair, the Switch version was out a year or so before the other console versions, so they didn't botch the Switch port more than just do it a bit different than the Switch version. If that's such an issue, grab it on the other platforms when it's on sale next.

You know I was really hesitant to look into this, thinking I'd have to maintain two Nintendo accounts on my Switch, risking the ARG account being flagged or something. But it was super easy, and doesn't require you to connect a new account to your Switch.

Quick summary, for those as clueless as I am/was on how it works, some eShops send you codes of the games you purchase, rather than connecting the game to the account. This is great if you're just wanting cheap eShop games. The Argentina eShop is such an eShop. I got a bunch of games/codes, including Hollow Knight, for about $25. These resources helped me a lot:

Every time I see Cardpocalpyse for sale I almost get it since I'm a sucker for card games especially ones that have  CCG mechanics, but I just can't bite. Anyone play the game and have an opinion? I also get tempted by that Wai Wai Party game but it's just likely too much for me right now.

Love Spelunky. Recently picked up Dead Cells but haven't tried it.

Rogue Legacy is good. If you have PS+, I think it was free at some point.

Binding of Isaac is the be-all and end-all of roguelikes for me, though I actually prefer Rebirth without all the expansion stuff and I'm not sure if you can play it that way on Switch...

But you use your real name, address, and phone number in the purchase, right? Privacy reveals your name and number to allow the transaction to go through, doesn't it and Nintendo is still the merchant. So even if you have a different email address your name is the same on both accounts and you've redeemed a code that has been sold through Nintendo's Argentina store on your account with the same name...

It seems like it would be trivial for Nintendo to pull data on this and revoke keys, so what am I missing that makes it safe?
 
You TRAVEL to another country and buy something there... is that illegal when you get home? Your bank would be the only one who really cares, Nintendo is making a legitimate sale.

Hell..... Nintendo has an article on HOW to change your country on their website. People are getting worried about nothing.

I use my amazon rewards card, so no international charges.

Not trying to come off as an ass.. but people have been buying games from other regions for years, all of a sudden the AR eshop pops up and the world is ending.

You can get Rebirth on XBox but I think it is only AB+ on Switch. BOI is fantastic and I still play it almost everyday.

No physical for switch, there is a physical for PS4. I emailed the company and they told me they currently have no plans for a switch physical but that this does not rule out the possibility of one in the future.

But you use your real name, address, and phone number in the purchase, right? Privacy reveals your name and number to allow the transaction to go through, doesn't it and Nintendo is still the merchant. So even if you have a different email address your name is the same on both accounts and you've redeemed a code that has been sold through Nintendo's Argentina store on your account with the same name...

It seems like it would be trivial for Nintendo to pull data on this and revoke keys, so what am I missing that makes it safe?

Nintendo has decided to make the Switch, unlike any of their systems in the past, "region free".

That means that you are safe and legal to be able to buy anything from any country and put it on that Switch. If you wanted, you could fly to Tokyo right now, buy a bunch of physical games, take them home and play them in your living-room.

Nintendo has made the decision to allow this to happen. It is a fantastic thing. Especially if you are wanting a a physical copy of anything that has 2 or more games on it. The Mega Man series on the Switch, FF X/X-2, Bayonetta... These are just SOME of the games that have only 1 on the cart and the rest you download. In Japan, they are completely on the cart.

Or, think of those cool games that look super wacky and you KNOW that they are not coming to your country. Viola! buy them on a different E-Shop or buy them to import a physical copy.

Nintendo has chosen to allow this to happen. I have noticed that there has been a big turnaround in the mindset of Nintendo, region free, no censorship (when possible), and allowing "M" rated games. They have become more "consumer friendly" and for me, it is a very welcome change.

AND...There is a good debate for the ethical theories involved. But that is a whole other subject.

Hell..... Nintendo has an article on HOW to change your country on their website. People are getting worried about nothing.

I use my amazon rewards card, so no international charges.

Not trying to come off as an ass.. but people have been buying games from other regions for years, all of a sudden the AR eshop pops up and the world is ending.

I'm not saying the world is ending, but there is a difference about importing goods sold in another country: import taxes ("duty"). Moreover I opened up the article on how to change the region on the switch which contains this:

Important: In order to change the region, you will need to agree to be bound by the End-User License Agreement for the selected region and restart your console. If you do not agree to be so bound, do not change your region setting in this way.

I guess I should read the EULA for each region, but I suspect they are turning a blind eye on this action, not actively allowing it.

EDIT: I read the EULA. It says nothing about this. I guess it depends on the terms of sale of the eShop but as it stands right now based on the EULA, I'm comfortable doing it.

Debating about picking up one of slightly more expensive titles from this sale. Considering purchasing one of the following: Children of Morta, Timespinner or Momodora. Has anyone played any of these titles? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance to those who respond. Thanks
