The last thing I will say on this is that I was just posting a recommendation of the controller, not claiming it was the greatest deal or anything like that. This is why I tend to not post deals here outside of the eShop stuff since people tend to get unnecessarily hostile for no reason. That shit needs to end ASAP.

seems pretty obvious that this generation Microsoft isn’t as interested in WHERE you play their games, as much as that you play them. I would expect timed exclusives that are eventually ported to Nintendo, PC and yes PS consoles. That could change, especially with regards to PS if Microsoft is getting their ass handed to them.

Complete console agnostic. Have switch, ps4, ps4pro, Xbox one x, pc, ps5 preorders and ordering Xbox tomorrow (hopefully)

Agreed. I own all 3 consoles this generation, and yes I play my switch and PS4 more. But game pass is great and a lot of Microsoft's approaches lately have been very consumer friendly. Not sure why people have to gain joy by someone else's potential loss. I for one am excited about the possibility of Fallout New Vegas 2 and if these future Bethesda titles end up Xbox only I think that's a bummer for gamers but wouldn't be "angry" at Microsoft for doing it. They paid $7.5 billion for the studios, they obviously have some plans to make some money on their investment.

Same as above. Should've know when it was smooth sailing getting the code and reaching the pin page - it was too easy. After entering my code, the page just reloaded and failed to add them to my cart. Just tried again, and now the page is dead.

Yeah I made it to the final page before it died. Tried refeshing dozens of times and get various different error codes. Front end or back end something, internal server error, njgix or something like that error code 503, and 2 others. Ah its backend error, and nginx

I called Nintendo and they said the pins won’t be available for order until the 29th. Maybe today was just supposed to be claiming the code for use on the 29th? That’s a mess.
 
Yep, I got the code no problem, but I was never able successfully check out. The furthest I got was tapping the “Purchase” button and watching nothing happen.

Considering the fine print for the Mario tour mission says credit will be given on 9/29 that would make sense to not allow the pins to be purchased until then or what's the point of even having that mission (I understand you don't have to complete all missions to get pins).

Just keep trying. I did and I just got my order to go through after 3 hours of occasionally refreshing the page.

 
Keeps telling me that it's no longer available. I was never even given the option to see a code. It's the PS5 pre-orders all over again. I hope that Microsoft doesn't make it a trifecta tomorrow with their own pre-order debacle.
 
Well I tried again after seeing the comments above, and was actually able to place an order. Even though the confirmation page spun and spun before totally giving up, I did receive an email with the purchase confirmation. So - looks good (I hope)!

Got a pin set. Wasn't working earlier but was a breeze just now. Was hoping to finally get one of these wireless SNES controllers and save on shipping but those have probably been long sold out and just didn't notice.
 
Welp, I’m just realizing that maaaaaybe you can only get one half of the full pin set they showed in the Direct. Hence all the wording about waves and Set #1 and “One set per account” disclaimers, and of course there’s no straight answers in any Nintendo site. Unless you can get both and the folks who missed out today could get screwed over again in a few weeks.

Guess I’m holding onto my code for a bit longer, I want a Sunshine pin.

Yeah, I had no idea they would go that quickly. I read the store issues were due to people being able to order multiple, and some were trying to get a ton of them. All I can hope is that it affected the code generation and they just stopped it for now to weed out those orders. Because if all they had was enough for people that jumped on that shit within minutes that's a little stupid. It causes more anger with Nintendo than goodwill, which is kinda the point of something like this. Someone waaay under-estimated this. I'd understand if they ran out after a day or so, but not this fast.

Regarding Alex Kidd:

At its core, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX appears to be a faithful remake of the original. That said, it has been remade with a lot of care, sporting beautiful new visuals that look like what the game's concept art originally intended. For fans of the original game, a classic mode will let players toggle to the classic visuals at the press of a button.

More modes and levels are also being added. According to the game's Steam Page, the new levels will "expand the lore of the original and feature new enemy types and vehicles." Bosses are also being tweaked so they are more fun to fight, and a dedicated boss rush mode will also be included at launch. Finally, you can expect remastered music tracks in addition to some brand new ones.

I think the article that was from was published in July, I couldn’t find anything newer, so it’s difficult to say whether anything has changed in the meantime or whether there will be a strictly faithful version included, or if we’ll only get the version with these tweaks and extra levels.

Regarding Wonder Boy, it’s not out of the realm of possibility; Lizardcube’s Dragon’s Trap remake was very well received, and there’s a Monster World IV remake on the horizon. Nothing official for Monster World has been announced, though.

If I could sell that pin set for even 100 that'd be nuts. I don't know what crazy person would pay a grand or more.
