GameStop is giving an extra 50% on game trades starting today, so I went ahead and went digital on Splatoon and Majora's Mask. Pulled the trigger on Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as well. Great sale for me!

Maybe people in my area love amiibo, but they regularly get restocked in the stores around me. And yes, I know they're restocked because I've seen the shelves much lower/empty and then get filled back up. Unless they got a LOT of amiibo in.

And if amiibo weren't selling, we wouldn't be getting Super Mario Wave 2 nor the Breath of the Winds amiibo.

The only shelfwarmer amiibo are the Animal Crossing ones, which have been pulled/not restocked in a lot of stores, though the cards do sell well still.

SoR1 isn't as good but it's still a fine brawler. And they're Sega 3D ports so they look and play AWESOMELY. Streets of Rage Remake for PC is better than all of them though.

 
So, I just found my One Piece: Unlimited World Red 3DS cart after having lost it about  a year ago. How exactly do I transfer my Street Passes into the game again?

Plus 1 on Drill Dozer. It's one of the best games, no one has ever played(I still own the cart NIB). This is a game that shows what a company can do when their not stuck making the same games over and over again, and creativity is allowed to shine.

I know a lot of fans love Game Freak for Pokemon, but that series never moved me, as I can't understand the love, but I'm glad I gave Drill Dozer a go, as it's a great game.

Why does nintendo charge sales tax for digital purchases when using eshop credit? When I buy digital on psn using psn credit sony does not charge me sales tax when I purchase on wii virtual console using wii points I am not charged sales tax.

I'm not charged sales tax in California. Are you in NY? Maybe because they have a store?

Yeah, it charges me TAX in Minnesota also and no Nintendo Store close by. What you can do if you are using Eshop Credit is just "move" on your billing info to a state that doesnt charge tax online, I'm now a proud Alaskan LOL O:)

I am. I do not doubt Sony has a presence here I am not charged sales tax on psn when I use psn credit. I am charged tax for wii points card after on virtual console I am not taxed at all. Wii u and 3ds eshop I am getting taxed for everthing it is a pain in the butt I am very angry $20 eshop credit is not enough to buy a $20 eshop game.

He's right. When I want to deprive my state of its tax revenue, I do it the old fashioned way and hitch hike to Delaware and find a place to get free WiFi and do my eshop downloads. Gotta make sure to get cheap smokes while I am outta state too.
 
I always just check to see which of my friends live in areas without taxes on digital purchases, and visit them just so I can purchase items on the eshop. Went to hang out with some buds in Portland, OR for this current sale!

 
Well I guess I'm screwed. Tried to buy Smash Bros for Wii U and it says it can't do it. I guess it won't let you buy software for a system it doesn't yet recognize you as having. I bought my Wii U Wednesday off ebay but it won't arrive until the 22nd. The sale is over the 21st.  I just blew $50 on an eshop card for nothing and even after my wii U does get here I'm guessing Nintendo will want $60 for Smash by then. ugh.  I really wish I hadn't listened to the CAG a few pages back saying I could still buy the game despite technically not having the hardware yet.

I live literally 5 miles from the border of a state with no sales tax so I don't feel too awful for switching my zip and being a dirt bag

Imagine how I feel when I spend large amounts of money on Amazon knowing that 5 miles up and I'd save all that tax lol

Yeah Nintendo is backwards sometimes. If it makes you feel better Smash will be on sale again on six months when they have another sale.
 
so what do I do with these 3k coins? not a lot of selection or opportunity

Yeah, I think they where loosing their shirts giving out those physical rewards, so now you get digital crap. If business ever turns around, you may see stuff worthwhile, but for now, don't plan on that happening.

 
If this doesn't bother your conscious, you can buy a console from Target, take the console out (there is no security sticker), leave all the wrapping on the console and controllers intact, load it up and buy the games under your name. After you buy it, reformat the system, put it back in the box how it was packed and return it. When you get your system in the mail from eBay, you can log in to your console and find your transaction history and re-download the games you purchased.

Anyways, I ended up buying BoxBoy for my 6yr old and he loves it. Unfortunately I can't log in to My Nintendo under his name because under the user agreement, he is too young to use it. I ended up buying the Link Theme for myself and after he saw that I had it, he wanted it too but My Nintendo won't let me buy another one. Would any of you fine folks be willing to send me a code for the Zelda Link (200 platinum points) and in exchange I can get you the Bravely Second theme or Mario theme?

Theres a couple of more steps than what you posted here. You actually have to do a system transfer.

And its not realy worth the hassle

So I'm torn on the MH Generations Demo.  I tried my Insect Glaive and it seems very unresponsive with the new setup.  Maybe that's lack of directions but I used to be able to shoot out my bug and retrieve them quickly.  Now, half the time I press R+(Y?) he may go out, or he may just chill near me.

So then I switched over to that new Axe/Sword&Shield Combo and it felt very clunky.  I dunno, something I'm missing when they redid things maybe but I can see this getting punishing.  That new Owl boss is a hoot to fight (I love that joke).

I got that theme and it's "meh"...wasn't well thought out it seems and the colors/design just doesn't pop. Also, the music for it is pretty bad IMO. I'm probably just going to go back to a plain one.

 
Finished the main game of Fairune as well as all of the regular & bonus worlds in BoxBoy! this weekend.  I still have some things left to do in both games.  For BoxBoy! I opted to finish the whole game without purchasing anything in the shop.  So I had 1950 coins when I finished off that last level.  The aftergame content is really nice.. plus the shop content is pretty good too.  Overall a great value.   Fairune was just excellent from start to finish.  There were a few points where I didn't know where to go to make progress and wasted a lot of time, but I like how it was an easy enough option to just take that time and grind up the levels to where the enemies didn't affect you.  I still have some secret objects I missed and a few of the random secret characters to find... plus the achievements (if I decide to go for them).

I'm pretty sure there's nothing left I want from the current sale.  Hopefully next month they do some other good sales and offer up another good game for gold coins.

 
Picked up BoxBoy and upgraded my LTTP for WiiU. Really want Super Metroid and LTTP on 3DS, but buying again at full price is painful.

 
I was never able to transfer my Wii over to my Wii U. It would crash mid transfer. Is there a way to still get the cheap upgrade price for ALTTP? I guess I'll try the transfer again today.

Indeed it is, I'd rather PLAY it on the 3DS but I've already bought it on the Wii and then for the discount on the Wii U. Grrrrrrrr Nintendo EFF YOU because you know I'll probably buy it again. Same with Earthbound I'd rather play that on the 3DS for sure but already own it.
