Glad I did PC method, as I had about 8.5gb to transfer (which is actually less than I thought was there, but still rather large to transfer wireless).

Yeah, the PC method is the way to go. My wife's system was bare bones with one game, and Wi-Fi can take hours. I've seen reports of some who say it can take days depending on what's on the system.

Yeah, that video was out of date, but it gives you the basics. As I stated, I've done it probably 5 times now, and I still get to a point where I get confused each time, as "N" I swear has made changes each time I have done it, and I'm always like "I don't remember this from before?", then I have to wing it and hope for the best, or try to find out about the changes online somewhere.

It's a pain in the ass to say the least, but the one thing about it that I love, is EVERYTHING stays the same. My wallpaper, order of games, folders, ect. The few times I've upgraded my memory card on my Vita, I have to do everything over from scratch, as it doesn't save anything, which is a HUGE pain in the ass when you have tons of games.

I have not seen it cheaper on Wii U. Has been cheaper on other systems. I bought it and I couldn't be more satisfied. Definitely worth it. Gives me a bit of a Rayman Legends feel.

Went ahead and grabbed OlliOlli & Titan Attacks purely for the gold coins.  I'll probably try them out but I already have them on PSN and have played enough OlliOlli (and OlliOlli 2 for that matter).   Sale on them ends tomorrow.  So now I'm 5 gold coins away a free copy of Metroid 2.

Note on both OlliOlli and Titan Attacks, after installing both of them there's a page that pops up that says an update is available.  So be sure to update both games.  The updates are tiny (like one download animation and done!).

I have it digitally, but I played and finished it first on GBC. Anyway, the game itself is an EXCELLENT platform puzzler. If you've played any other game in the main series it's a MUST HAVE. The levels are all very inventive and it takes some brains to figure them all out to find all of the secrets along the way. If you are completely unaware of the series or genre... the levels pretty much scroll in all directions and you use both temporary and permanent power ups to explore and find all of the secrets along the way. You have no health but enemies will stop you from using a temporary power up which you may need to get to a certain spot to use. So it's to some degree a bit of a metroidvania broken into levels as you may need to return to a level later with a certain power, after figuring out a new way to do something, or during the night cycle (as the levels change some between day & night).

If I didn't already own it, I'd have put it a priority to get because I love the game and more so I love the genre.

Thanks. Sounds great, right up my alley. I have Wario Land 4 via the Ambassador program but haven't played it yet. And I have never previously owned or played any GBC games so I don't know how well those games hold up now, though I did buy the Zelda Oracle games on sale recently (just have A Link to the Past left to complete the Zelda machine).

It's my favorite Pokémon spinoff, but it is very rough around the edges. Ranger 2 and 3 did things much better.

Ended up buying OlliOlli and Pumped BMX+ to play, as well as the Swapper, Thomas Was Alone, and Lone Survivor for the coins.  Might talk myself into Nova-111 and Titan Attacks! by tomorrow, but I think I'm probably done since I have those through PS+.

Now to decide what I want to do with the gold coins.

And I have never previously owned or played any GBC games so I don't know how well those games hold up now, though I did buy the Zelda Oracle games on sale recently (just have A Link to the Past left to complete the Zelda machine).

The Wario Games hold up. Same for the GB version of Donkey Kong (also on eshop) which is more of a traditional platformer with 100 levels which only the first few are like the original game. Seriously DK for the GB is one of the best puzzle platformers ever made on any system. If you like the genre... get it almost before getting anything else (well other than Wario Land 3 for gold coins). The Sequel, Mario Vs Donkey Kong on GBA is also excellent (which you should have from the Ambassador games) and expands on the formula set with Donkey Kong (GB). The rest of the Mario Vs DK series changes the formula to include more lemmings style gameplay.

I second the recommendations for Wario Lands 1-3 and Donkey Kong '94. Those are easily some of the best games from that decade.

I did not care for Lost World on the Wii U/PC but the 3DS version is surprisingly good so far.  Much less convoluted levels and the special stages are neat.  I'm a bit nervous as Generations 3DS started out OK but went to shit after a while, falling through levels and crap framerate.

Finally bit on the 3D classic Sonics.  While I love Whitehead's work on the phone ports I just miss my buttons.

Completely agree regarding the DK games. Donkey Kong '94 and Mario vs. Donkey Kong are two of my favorite video games of all time. It's a damn shame that they completely changed the gameplay style for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong sequels. It would have been amazing to have a whole series of games all building upon the foundation that DK '94 laid.

I don't remember what compelled me to get GB DK from CN, probably something like this where someone said it was way better than you would expect, and it was entirely worth it.

I think I was reading up on Mario Vs Donkey Kong after it was announced and thinking how awesome a game that was going to be. Somewhere I read that it was a sequel to DK on GB and I think a gamefaqs visit later (to read user reviews) and I was tracking a copy down. Since then, whenever someone says they never played gb/gbc games I have to put that recommendation out there. Similar to recommending the Wario Land series. If you like the genre of platformers with some puzzle element & exploration to finishing each level these are the games to get first.
