Atlus just announced Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux for 3DS in NA. EOV is out this Fall while the other two are early 2018.

More info:

Get ready to flex your cartography skills, travel through time to prevent the end of days, and journey into a spatial anomaly straight from your favorite sci-fi horror movie because ATLUS is publishing three legendary JRPGs in the Americas. That's right, Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux will be arriving to the Americas exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS™ family of systems. Etrian Odyssey V and Radiant Historia will be fully voiced in English while Strange Journey Redux will retain its original Japanese voices.

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth - The fifth main installment of the long-running Etrian Odyssey series is finally arriving! Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth chronicles the quest of a new adventurer (hey, that's you!) as he or she attempts to reach the top of the towering Yggdrasil Tree. For it is said that whoever braves the dangers of the dreaded Yggdrasil Labyrinth and reaches the summit will have their greatest wish fulfilled...

Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth features:

  • A Choose-your-own-odyssey Feel - Starting with the creation of your party to exploring the uncharted labyrinth of the Yggdrasil Tree, Beyond the Myth is all about choosing how your own adventure unfolds. Test your survival skills by wisely navigating the winding floors of Yggdrasil, using shrewd tactics when battling gruesome beasts, making the right decisions during various "scenarios," and more. To meet these challenges, the home base city of Iorys is ready for all your buying/selling, recruiting, and information-gathering needs!
  • Gameplay Fit for a True Pathfinder - It wouldn't be an Etrian Odyssey game without the life-or-death need to map your progress. For those new to the series, the bottom screen of the 3DS displays a top-down, tile-based map that must be filled out while dungeon crawling. Players can use the map to mark the locations of treasures, doors, enemies, environmental obstructions, and more. Expect the unexpected at every turn--and then make a note on the map so it's not so unexpected next time!
  • Epic Turn-based Battles - There's a reason why no one has ever reached the top of Yggdrasil. Dangerous creatures and utterly terrifying FOEs--high-level mini-bosses, for you newcomers--roam the labyrinth on every floor, so prepare to test your mettle with challenging turn-based battles. Proper planning is a must and balancing strong party composition is absolutely crucial for success. You'll need the right team to unleash Union Attacks and level the playing field!
  • Expanded Character Creation and Customization - With four unique races, 10 distinct classes, more customization options than any previous game in the franchise, and a streamlined skill tree/class advancement, you can shape a party to whatever your heart desires.
  • A Magical Art Style and Score - Longtime series illustrator Yuji Himukai and renowned composer Yuzo Koshiro return to add their signature magic to the art and music in the game.
Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology - It's been six years since Radiant Historia was released on Nintendo DS in 2011, but it's time to return to Vainqueur and unlock the time traveling power of the White Chronicle once again in Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology. This beloved classic is an expanded Nintendo 3DS port of the original game that will contain a great deal of added gameplay/story content, updated presentation, and new ways to experience the adventure!

Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology features:
  • An Enhanced Retelling of the Original - You'll once again take the reins of Alistel operative Stocke as he unlocks the power of the White Chronicle relic and gains the ability to travel between two alternate timelines. With his new-found powers, Stocke will need to right the wrongs of the past in order to prevent the total annihilation of the world. This time though, things are a bit different. Redesigned character art, new character voice-overs, a brand-new opening animation by A-1 Pictures, new theme song, event illustrations, five new tracks from original composer Yoko Shimomura, and additional difficulty settings will enhance the experience in this fresh take of a beloved story.
  • Exhilarating New Story Content- Stocke will now encounter a mysterious new character named Nemesia who will teach him more about his world's history and unlock a third timeline to explore the ripple effect of some of his actions with episodic "what-if" scenarios. If you're a Radiant Historia purist who simply wants to play through the original game's story, we have you covered! Perfect Chronology offers two different modes: Append and Perfect. Append mode allows you to beat the original game before having the option to start a NewGame+ with the added content, while Perfect mode lets you play through the game with the inclusion of the third timeline from the beginning.
  • A Classic That Can't Be Missed - Even though there's an abundance of expanded content to delve into, the heart and soul of Radiant Historia remains the same. If you missed out on the original game in 2011, the upcoming port is the perfect chance to play a modern classic. With an exciting positioning-based battle system, memorable characters, and thrilling time-travel mechanics, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology is an essential for JRPG fans.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux - A spatial distortion full of demons appeared in Antarctica, threatening to engulf the Earth in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. The United Nations responded by tasking a team of highly advanced specialists with piercing the anomaly and figuring out how to stop it from the source. Well, get ready to don your Demonica once again in this new expanded port: Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. Expect new story content, additional endings, a new dungeon to explore, and more in the return of this sci-fi tinged SMT adventure.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux features:

  • A Stranger Journey Back - In Strange Journey Redux, you play as a brave United Nations soldier investigating a spatial anomaly called the Schwarzwelt--a dome of dark energy that threatens to consume the world. Inside, you'll find it home to a nightmare mirror of our own Earth, populated with demons dying to meet you. The game touts brand-new illustrations by Masayuki Doi, updated visuals, UI tweaks, and more to make this journey back into the Schwarzwelt... even stranger.
  • Additional Story Content and a Brand-new Character - You won't be retreading the same nightmarish path as before because a brand-new character named Alex will play a major role in how the story unfolds. Much about her is a mystery, but there is one thing you know for sure: she's got a bone to pick with you. Joining her are new demons you might recognize from other SMT entries, new endings, and a new dungeon to die in--I mean, discover.
  • A True Shin Megami Tensei Adventure - With its twisted demonic sci-fi story, addictive demon-collecting fun, and multiple narrative paths to explore, Strange Journey Redux is an essential ATLUS JRPG adventure that can't be missed!
Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth will release fall 2017, while Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux will launch in early 2018. All three games will be released for the Nintendo 3DS™ system and will be priced at $39.99. Titles have not yet been rated by the ESRB. For more information please visit the links below:

Radiant Historia and SMT: Strange Journey are still in my NDS backlog, so I'm happy to see them getting re-released for me to buy (again) and play for the first time.  :p  I wish they were on Switch, though, because my 3DS backlog is even worse than my NDS backlog.

The two recent Etrian Odyssey games are in my backlog, too.  Woops.  But I played the hell out of IV and will look forward to V.  I wonder if that series will die without a touchscreen and/or dual-screen system?  :(

Axiom Verge: Multiverse Edition just got a tentative release date of August 2017 and now includes an NS version in addition to the previously announced Wii U, PS4 and Vita versions.

$40 for NS; $30 for the others. No preorders open yet.

I've been buying all those Kutar games when they go on sale; I don't have any particular interest in them, but I'm a big fan of Circle Entertainment, and I don't think those titles are good sellers.

No date for it yet, but they revealed more about Skyrim on Switch:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7980ZPK8Dg

Motion controls with the Joy Cons and it includes Zelda outfit, gear, and the chest theme. It includes the expansions and supports all Zelda and Smash amiibos for additional look unlocks. It's out later this year.

Nicalis announced a number of games for Switch today:

The company’s 2017 line-up includes Tiny Barbarian DX (Nintendo Switch), Ittle Dew 2+ (Nintendo Switch), Blade Strangers (Switch and PlayStation 4) and The End Is Nigh (Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4).
  • Inspired by heroic fantasy fiction, Tiny Barbarian DX is the action-packed adventure of one Barbarian’s quest for vengeance. Developer StarQuail Games has combined engaging 2D platform action and combo-based hack-and-slash combat with retro-style pixel art and a pulse-pounding chiptune soundtrack for Nintendo Switch. The game offers two-player cooperative action, unlockable game modes and multiple homages to classic 8- and 16-bit games in each of its four lengthy episodes.
  • Sassy adventurer Ittle and her reluctant flying friend Tippsie return in Ittle Dew 2+, an upgraded and expanded Nintendo Switch version of the action/adventure puzzle game from developer Ludosity. Stranded on a mysterious island and armed with a few weapons as well as a magical map, our heroine explores the three-dimensional landscape in search of valuable loot and the eight scattered pieces of a raft that could be her ticket home.
  • From veteran Japanese developer Studio Saizensen comes Blade Strangers, a hardcore old-school fighting game with online multiplayer battles for the Switch and PS4. Its refined four-button control scheme makes it easy for beginners to jump right in, but tournament-caliber players will relish the intricate combos, counters and specials. The fighter roster includes characters from previous Studio Saizensen games (like Code of Princess and Sayonara Umihara Kawase), Nicalis games (like Cave Story+) and other surprise entrants.
  • The brand-new game from The Binding of Isaac creator Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel, The End Is Nigh is a sprawling adventure/platformer. Players control Ash, a little black glob trying to make a friend out of the body parts he finds scattered throughout a post-apocalyptic world. As Ash leaps his way through a never-ending onslaught of decaying, mutant creatures, he can collect assorted tumors and hidden video-game cartridges that unlock fully playable mini-games.
All four games are planned for release in 2017, with Tiny Barbarian DX, Ittle Dew 2+ and The End Is Nigh scheduled for Q3 and Blade Strangers appearing in Q4.

As much as I love Elder Scrolls (since 1995) and as cool as it would be to have this on the go, I played Skyrim for hundreds of hours 6 years ago, and I played through all of it again, and the expansions, last year and this year. I just don't think I have it in me again.

I was really hoping they'd announce something new, or some new content, or a Skyrim 2, or an Elder Scrolls 5.5 by Obsidian, or a Fallout 4.5 by Obsidian. But nope. Bunch of action games, horror games, a card game... and Skyrim YET AGAIN, and Fallout 4 yet again. I'm sure it takes a lot of manpower to put a Link outfit into Skyrim, but come on guys.

Lots of people on Nintendo probably haven't played it.

Yes, and this will be great for those 8 people. :) It's just that it's such an old game.

Hell, even an HD Oblivion remake would have been nice. I am just being selfish though. I wanted them to somehow convince me to buy it. I guess they feel it has enough content already, but for people who've played everything in the game 1-3 times, it's no longer exciting.

I say, now. Watch me buy it on day one.

I have yet to play Skyrim even though I do have it on the X360. Haven't booted my 360 up in a year so I'm going to say that's staying in my forevermore backlog. I'll pick it up on the Switch though.

If Nintendo announces a new Smash Bros (or port) with Kingdom Hearts characters they win E3 lol
I'd see that as weird honestly, like how they added Cloud even though his game has never been on a Nintendo platform. While there have been KH spinoffs on their handhelds, the series has always been synonymous with playstation and not so much with nintendo.

Same for me except I have the PS3 version. I know my kids also have the updated version on PC... so I have no business getting the Switch version even though I likely will because it's just too convenient.

Just about an hour to go for the Nintendo press conference. I'm not holding my breath for anything good. So far that has been my tactic with the Switch and it's worked out fantastically. Zelda quickly has become one of my all time favorite games. A few games I ended up wanting and not getting and then others I wasn't expecting to like blew me away (can't wait for ARMS). So if E3 shows nothing new... it doesn't matter much to me. I already have a bunch of games left for this year and a small backlog.

It could be argued that Sony is its main platform, but it's been now been on several Nintendo systems and mobile devices. Plus KH3 is going to be on X1 (last I checked). Sora wouldn't be any less expected than Cloud or Snake (or Sonic for that matter).

Side games, not spinoffs. Half of which were important to the series' convoluted mess of a story, too.

For a presentation that's supposed to focus on 2017 games, there's a lot in this that's not coming out this year.

But then again, Metroid Prime 4 got announced so who cares?

If they bundle Super Mario Odyssey on Black Friday, I may just end up buying a Switch. Or if they put up a Super Mario Maker DS bundle.

Now when will Nintendo announce this week's deals?

The only 2018+ games that they showed were a title screen for Metroid Prime 4, Yoshi, Kirby, and then the announcment of a mainline Pokemon sometime just over a year away (probably holiday 2018).  Am I missing any?

For 2017 they showed Fire Emblem Warriors, Super Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Mario & Rabbids, Rocket League, and Skyrim... not to forget Splatoon 2 next month, Pokken Tournament Deluxe, and Arms (which were briefly mentioned).  There are bunch of games not shown coming this year from third parties.  Really I think we are shaping up to have the best launch year of a console... ever.  Seriously think about that.  The only thing I can think of that compares is maybe the Dreamcast.

A lot of the 2018+ games came towards the beginning (I posted mid-way through maybe?), but I just thought it was odd that even 4 were mentioned (and 2 of them were literally just "oh hey, we're doing this").

I agree that the Switch is having an excellent launch year - I'm probably going to be trying to secure one more seriously in the coming months Splatoon, Mario, and Xenoblade.

Seeing them claim that they were showing 2017 games today, which was surrounded by 2018 games, was hilarious.

Nintendo needs a whole more than Rocket League in terms of 3rd party support. I'm fine with the one first party game a month that appears to be the new standard but of all companies they were in desperate need of sizzle reel. It's still a good second console for me (and first console for my kids) but despite Mario looking better than ever the rest of the show was mostly mediocre looking 2.5d platforms.

That was a whole lot of nothing, but I'm psyched that Mario Odyssey is apparently just Messiah or Space Station Silicon Valley but with Mario.

Also, as much as I liked Xenoblade 1 and X, Xenoblade 2 looks teeeeeeeerrible

e: ok good, there's a real-ass Metroid coming too. And I guess that explains the shutdown of AM2R :v

Is there anything in particular about Xenoblade 2 that looks bad, or is it just the awful character design? I might get it if it's not too long, but I'm really tired of 200+ hr games. Especially after BoTW.

Also, I wouldn't get too excited over Samus Returns just yet; seeing as it's made by the company responsible for Castlevania Lords of Shadow. Although it'll be the third year in a row I played a different version of Metroid II.

Wow... just wow.  Oh, good, a sale on Mario galaxy 1, I guess I'll finally rebuy it, and probably Zelda LTTP, and Super Metroid on my 3ds.

Picked up BOXBOXBOY! I just wish the last game was on sale, too, but I'll wait.

I'm probably a fool for considering Skytree Village given its bad reviews. $15 doesn't seem too bad, though.

Maybe I missed it, but I never see the latest Mario vs Donkey Kong game on sale. Hope that gets a significant discount sometime this year, That, and the remaining Atlus games that never dip below $20.

using the top screen. I get it's a snes vc release, but come on. Half of one screen.

I don't understand how you can like Xenoblade 1 and X and not 2. It's always been anime!!! I put hundreds of hours into the series so far and am looking forward to putting in hundreds more!
