I saw that Battle Network Legacy Collection went back up on sale on Amazon so I ordered it, solely because it's been hard to find. Why did I do that? I have a thousand ways to emulate the games. Should I keep it? Looking for someone else to make my life decisions for me.

These games you can play online with others, and the Japanese event chips are in it. Only if you like these type of games keep it, but it plays well enough. Slowly working through MMBN1 right now.

Thanks! Just knowing there's some exclusive stuff on it is good enough for me. I haven't played these games before but the basic idea seems fun and I love Mega Man (I know these are very different). I've certainly spent plenty of money in my life on games I don't play. Worst case scenario, I've done it again.

Suggestion... when they hype is strong for something you weren't planning to buy and you can testdrive the originals... go try an original (unless there's a demo on switch) and see how much you really want to play the games. It's so easy to just throw money at stuff when you have it. Like I'm doing well and could buy whatever... but I know deep down games like these I can just emulate (well, I still have carts for the first three which have collected dust for three generations of handhelds). But sampling the games again (or for the first time) can pretty much cure all hype and get back to reality of what I enjoy and will play.

This is how I've resisted the FF Pixel Remaster Collection and now this MMBN Collection. A good sale though and I'll throw my rules out the window on occasion. Like last November when TMNT Collection and Shredders Revenge went on sale and I just said... ok and pushed buy.

I Feel the old man in me when my nephew is telling me about Zelda lore because of how hyped he is for Tears of the Kingdom. On one hand I'm happy for him, but man, he'll never know that feeling of playing Wind Waker and getting to the castle and realizing all the games were actually legit connected.

Good advice! I'll give the GBA games a try first. Seems I have a month or two until it ships out. That's one reason I pulled the trigger.

Amazon is fine with cancelling orders as long as you don't use a promo credit or something which they don't reissue like BestBuy does.

Sounds like a wise decision, and if you don't find the time to test them a couple weeks before it ships then that's also a sign that you really aren't as into getting them.

If you emulate you don't get the voice acted MegaMan in the menu screen telling you how good it feels to jack out.

I'll still be getting MBNLC when it gets discounted later this year. I did get FF remastered, but I paid less than the digital bundle, so fine by me.

No FOMO, I was planning on buying both when announced, just sad that it's the method of choice these days to push sales.

Megaman Battle Network collection is not going to be rare, you can get all the other Megaman collection games for $10-$20 each.  I’ll miss out or pay the scalper price if I’m wrong I guess, but I doubt it.

I feel like they'd rather release every game but legends. Starforce will probably get a collection next.

I got most of the other Megaman collection games near release, but don’t have much interest in battle network, other than being Megaman.  Probably more interested in them now than I was during their original release though.  I would love a classic FF style jrpg in the Megaman universe, and these aren’t that, but the closest we ever got I guess, other than Megaman X command mission.

Anyone know what time digital downloads unlock? Is it midnight in every time zone? I'm not "traveling" just curious if I have to wait til midnight here in California or if it will unlock at 9pm (midnight EST) on Thurs/Friday.

I'm guessing you're talking about Zelda. It will be available at 9pm Pacific on Thursday night for the digital version.

Was able to get the Zelda Pro controller from Target online as of 5:30 am EDT and the collectors edition from Best Buy. I wanted to use trade credit at GameStop but wanted a back up.

Some gamefly price drops worth noting:

Ninfriendo's can you guys reccomend a good screen protector for the oled switch?

i was looking at this one but it isnt shipping until the end of the month and i want to play my new zelda game. Thanks in advance.
I’ve had a switch since the first restock after launch, I’ve never used a screen protector. My screen still looks new. If I wanted one they are in stock at my nearest Walmart… I’d just go pick one up if I was that worried. If playing docked it’s not necessary at all. Just be careful and don’t throw the system around. If you plan on taking places get one of the $20 cases that fit the system properly (I think pdp?) and don’t put anything else in the case and it’ll be great for travel even if you toss it around as it’s pretty rigid. There’s a nice Zelda theme one that looks like a brown leather. Don’t just throw it in a backpack with a screen protector as your sticks will get screwed up and start drifting or it’ll jack up the rails or worse one good bump and cracked screen.

Stick with the one you linked, ivoler is a good brand. I've used them for both my original switch and OLED. Anything with an alignment frame is a must IMO, makes applying it a lot easier. I guess the prices probably went up because of the Zelda OLED release, it was $8 for the 4 pack when I bought it last month.

Been using the regular Hori one. On the pricier end, but just like the previous Switch model looks good and is easy to apply.
