Glad to see a decent amount of people able to snag one this morning.  Thanks to Thorbahn on @videogamedeals for keeping us informed.

 
The sound when u switch armor in BotW is the same sound that the keypad on my front door lock makes.  Identical.  To a t.  And botw mixes it so it sounds like it is coming from the background.  

I can't take it.  Every time my kid or me changes armor in that game I wonder who the f could be at the front door now.

I got the Kootek bag for it off of Amazon for $20. You can technically fit the switch IN a hard case, 4 pro controllers, and 2 set of joy cons and everything else, but it'll be a tight fit and some things will be loose. Great and quality made for $20.
 
Has anyone tried the hori stand? I need a good stand for my switch setup on my desk. Any thought on any stands will do.

I have the hori stand and it is good. Charger will not fit in the small RDS case. Just put charger in your bag? Uploading upside down pic. Not sure why it is upside down.[attachment=27156:IMG_5005.JPG]

I talked to a gamestop rep about this and she said mandatory bundling is to protect us Nintendo fans from scalpers. Ha. What a load of crap.

Yeah I've heard them say that before, but I know they get some in store every once in a while, so I'd rather hold out for that than get a bundle with things I don't want.

 
What's going on with Amazon lately? Quite a number of the Switch game pre-orders seem to not be getting the Prime Discount. Normally I don't bother with games from Amazon but the ones I'm interested in haven't popped up at Best Buy yet.

Has anyone bought a Switch bundle from Gamestop and exchanged any of the items in the bundle in store? Interested in the Neon bundle but would like to exchange Arms for Mario Kart 8. Are the items in the bundle itemized on the shipping receipt?

I bought the Zelda bundle last Monday. The bundle is itemized and I was told by the GS employee that I had to return the bundle completely. If you find a reasonable employee they may make an exception.

 
Just bought one from Amazon. Was actually going to go searching today while in town for one, but glad I was able to just use my credit from Amazon. 

 
Highly debating that arms switch bundle and just trying to return arms to a gamestop. 4 controllers. Im good for party games
 
This may be kind of late for east coast CAG's, but good for others perhaps(12-3pm). Gamestop is having a ARMS demo today, and giving out "Arms Sleeves" for those who try the game. The one location in my town said the rep hadn't showed up yet, so I may take my son if he does, so he can try the NS and Arms. So call your local stores before the journey.

Unless you are pinching pennies (this is cheapassgamer) none of the bundled games are bad. We have Arms, Mariokart, Street Fighter, Lego City, Super Bomberman, Binding of Isaac, Puyo Puyo Tetris, BOTW and 1-2 Switch. None of these games is terrible so if you can afford a bundle go for it. We have two systems, Neon joy cons and two sets of steering wheels for Mariokart. Again if you can afford the bundles and have a couple friends the stuff will pay for itself. This goes for any bundle not just GS.
 
Well, finally got my first hands on with the Switch at GS for their Arms promotion today. I didn't get to use it in handheld mode, but I got to use all the controller configs, as well as the pro controller with Arms.

I can't really rate the system, as I really didn't get to use it as intended, but in console mode, it was good enough. Arms seemed to be decent, but without some proper alone time with that as well, I can't really rate that either. It seemed OK, but nothing I would spend $60 on. 

So I'm glad to say I finally tried it, and since I've already pretty much played it's best offerings so far on the Wii U, I'm for sure still in no rush to get one. As for my own personal taste and uses, it seems best as a handheld, and the $300 entry point($400 with game case and screen protector), it's sill on my high side for a handheld. Hopefully in the future, they offer an NS Mini or slim or something, as I would for sure get one for $200, no question.

My son of course loved it, so I may try and get him one before the summer is over, or maybe a going back to school gift, so that way I don't have to try and fight the masses during the holiday rush. And of course the "N" rep was pretty clueless, as I asked about preorders for the SNES Mini, and he had no clue. He pretty much just goes when and where "N" tells him to, and not much else.

 
I think I will wait until october when Mario odyssey comes out.

hopefully by that time there are better options to locate one and maybe even better bundles :pray:

One of my buddies bought a switch shortly after Mario was fully revealed and will not open it until Mario launches. They will be even harder to find near the holiday. Get one and hold on to it.
 
why is there such a big hype for this system?  I really dont get it.

for 2017 the only nintendo exclusives are Zelda, Mario Kart, Mario Oddysey and Splatoon 2
