No Netflix for kids?

Really? My mother in law just got my youngest a 3DS (Older 2 have a DSi and DSiXL from previous years.) Went to setup Netflix on it as I would expect it to have access to Netflix for kids and I can't seem to find a way to "switch" to it or access it? My Ps3, and Ps4 both support the multiple user's on NetFlix even... 

I'm assuming it's not on there but anyone have any idea/news on when it might be added?

Poking around the web, I can't find anything.  Nintendo's line seems to be "you can use Parental Controls to block the Netflix app" which is pretty useless of course.  I knew the 3DS Netflix app was light on features, but that one truly surprises me.  Heck, being Nintendo, I'm surprised the kids version isn't the default.
