Figured I would post here and ask for some help.

I have a computer that was thrown away. Decent for internet and media by all means not a gaming computer but I want to work slowly to that point.

I'd like to get a new video card. Something I can upgrade with say when I upgrade the mobo/cpu.

The question is how can I check the mobo currently installed? How can I check what type of PCI-E slot is on the mobo?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking to get a decent video card so if anyone has an older card they upgraded from LMK.

First time I've been on Windows in 3+ years so it's been a while :D

I'm going to upgrade it later on not right now. For the time being it works great as a media server/internet machine. I want to upgrade it piece by piece as I sell games and get more money. I'd like to upgrade to parts that would be the newest tech so when I do get a new mobo/cpu it will be compatible.

Here is the data I got about the machine...

Hmmm, id suggest upgrading to some more ram, unless your going to get one of the new i cores which require DDR3. Otherwise, it seems like you have a PCie slot so you can get any video card out there really, only problem is you can get a pimp card way better than your single core, but if you plan on upgrading later it shouldnt be an issue. Just make sure the mobo can support said card. Truthfully for games Id suggest an upgrade as soon as possible just because that single core, Nvidia 6100, 1 gig of ram and 150 GB HD isnt really going to take you very far.
