I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

I braved the crowds and scored the Warioware (Gamecube), Psychonauts, Metal Slug 4 & 5, Project Snowblind and Pikmin 2. I was surprised to find that many. Our TRU rarely has anything that is mentioned in the great sales in the message board threads. :)

Went looking for Digital Devil Saga and Pikmin 2, but I only came back with Pikmin 2.

They had plenty of RE4s and Pikmin 2s for those of you that live in the Frederick Maryland area.

The sales clerk that I went to was really surprised when Pikmin came up as $9.98. The clerk next to him had to explain that there was a sale going on.
 
I picked up the Karaoke Revolution for my kids (sans mic) and I checked out EB to get a used microphone for $4.50 (after Edge card).

They are enjoying it.
 
I picked up Doom 3, Viewtiful Joe 2, Neo Contra, and Advance Wars 2. Does anyone know what happened to the rebate for doom 3 on price grabber? Does anyone know if the $10 Splinter cell for xbox is choas theory? I just want comfirmation before I head back to pick it up.

Just got back from trip #2 of this sale. Got my pre-sale RE4 receipt adjusted down to 9.98, It showed -6.65 promo on the screen for a minute during the process but then she hit something else and it went to 9.98 promo or whatever it's been displaying. I questioned why it wasn't 6.65 and she said that was just a system code or some bullshit I forgot what she called it now but basically she said the price is 9.98. I got her to try some of the ones i'd bought yesterday but she refused all of them saying the prices were correct. Oh well i'll try back in the morning, I ended up buying 30 games total so it's worth the effort to keep trying! Maybe this whole $6.65 deal is YMMV depending on the knowledge of the employee ringing you up OR maybe they fixed a glitch....

Grabbed Winning Eleven 8 and then a few to trade at GR: DBZ Saga x3, Ghost in the Shell x2.

All the "good stuff" is LONG gone but they still have about 20 copies of FF 1&2 which they had none of when I was there yesterday morning, about 15-20 ($5) DBZ ps2 and prolly 15 for Xbox, 7-8 ghost in the shell. The last three only being considered good because they get $12/9.50/19 at GR. :D

Metal Slug 4/5, DDS 1 X 2, Samuri Western, DBZ Budokai 3 LE X 5.
All the DBZ games were an extra $5 off. If anyones interested at Sears I found Warioware Touched DS for $12 clearance. The only games I wanted but couldn't find were Marioland pinball and Sid Meiers Pirates.

I think its funny how it was going for $70 last week, and people stick it on for $40 BIN - nubs can't research (talking about DDS)

Yup, I still stand by my position that if you missed a game at this sale, you can still probably pick it up cheaply on ebay very soon. People are going to be flooding the ebay market with games from this sale.

I'm probably going out again tonight to pick up more cheapy games for the hubby, he wants some Mortal Kombat, Tiger Woods, and other cheesy games. I just got him a cheap ass copy of Bloodrayne 2 earlier today. Damn TRU was a zoo.

Of course it's theft, he walked out of the store with something that doesn't belong to him, in this case it was money. Defending his behaviour is nuts, and just in case you hadn't figured it out yet, downloading music, if you didn't pay for it is theft. You still deprived the record company of that sale. And if you don't believe me, just go check out the busts performed by the fbi over at cybercrime.gov. People DO go to jail. Any conviction will follow you for life.

Rather than argue that your special and you'll never be caught, consider what happens if you do. It's your life.

This is sort of off-topic-ish, but what are people's opinions on Polarium?

I finally got my Nintendo DS (thanks to anyfreegift.com and about 6 months of patience), and now I need a good game for it. Since I saw plenty of copies of Polarium at TRU last night, I figure if fellow CAGs say it's worth the $10, I might head back to pick it up tomorrow. Thoughts?

In Janesville, WI they had 6 copies of DDS1, I grabbed 2. One for me and one for my brother so I won't be trading it. Hope everyone got what they wanted.

If I can take advantage of this, I'd knock a ton of games out of my backlog. But I doubt I'll risk the lines at TRU any time soon. Thank God for the few online deals still available.
 
I went to Best Buy today to trade in two games bought from the Toy's R Us.

I had a manager wait on me, and she asked if I had a receipt, I said no.

She asked if I had bought the items here, I said no, at Toy's R. Us.

She asked how many I had. I said two.

She said she'd accept no more than two, if they were in her system.

I gave her RE4 and Romance 3 Kingdoms and got $90+tax.

Then I bought a $100 iRiver MP3 player and got a free $50 giftcard.
Then I whipped out my coupon and bought a 360 game.

(Then I got home and found a message from my GameStop that my 360 had come in!)

Yeah all around.

So, is that fraud? I was honest. I only did that because I happened to go to a BestBuy immediately afterwards and had just read this thread. I wanted to see what they'd say.

No, I would say that's not fraud. No deception involved, simply a goofy manager. Can't see why they would knowingly take games back that they didn't sell, but good for you.
 
pimp tyranny and dogpatch, what part of SC you in? I'm in Myrtle Beach, and the Toys R Us here did not have much in stock, or if it was you couldn't really tell because it was behind a huge glass case behind the register. I did manage to grab a few items:

Dead 2 Rights - PSP
Also got a free PSP starter kit that was normally $29.99!
 
Those bastards canceled my Donkey Kong Country 2 order, after they shipped Darkstalkers. Now I need to pay for shipping again if I want to order something to replace it. I used a gift card and that seems to disqualify me from getting free shipping. Damn it.

I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but it's worth $10. Pretty fun and challenging. Also look for Feel the Magic, which should be $10 as well(Might as well buy 2 if you're going to get polarium).

OH, I saw the new GBA SP while shopping today and OMFG that screen is amazing. I couldn't believe it. Getting one ASAFP.
 
well i finally got time today to drop by TRU..and i got DDS which was very unexpected, my TRU had about 10 of them and after coming back home and reading how many of you guys wanted it i decided to help and go back...but it looked like someone robbed the electronics part of TRU. only after two hours the games i saw on the list were ALL gone. oh well at least i tried sorry guys..but thanks for the list!

This sale was a huge bust for me. I drove about 2 hours to hit up two separate TRUs and they were both totally pwned. The only thing they had left was Rumble Roses. I had a list of like 20 to look for but didn't end up with any of them.

I'd love to buy one, or possibly trade(I don't have any TRU games though).

The one where the ad in fron showed Geist and several other games. And I think it was mentioned that the green tag is coming back and it'll be 70% off.
I'd like to get geist for 50% off at $15.
 
Just got back from the Monroeville, PA location, and they still had a lot of stuff left-it's worth it to still go there. I don't follow the consoles anymore, so I'm not sure what was rare and what wasn't, but there was a lot of stuff. I picked up:

PSP - World Tour Soccer (still a copy left)
GC - Pikmin 2 (still a copy left)
XBX - Sid Meier's Pirates
PS2 - Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex (still a copy or two left)

See the trading board if you're interested in the bottom 3 games. Will sell them at cost if I don't get any trade offers.

Geist is still $50. But, that's the ad the clerk mentioned to me. Said he remembered Geist and Metroid Prime 2 being on the front and something about most of the game being on sale starting at $4.99...
