I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.
EDIT 4: Because no CAG wants to pay $5 more than he/she has to, shipwreck took the liberty of putting which games are eligible for $5 rebates on PriceGrabber. For complete info on the rebates check out this thread:

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

Why do some games ring up full price? And what is this talk about getting some games for $6.xx? And why would they be that price?

It's called a clearence sale.

Some games in some stores are on sale, while others have them for full price.


Some ring up cheaper because the store is trying to get rid of them and thats how they do so.

If they ring up full price, then they werent clearanced. Maybe you are trying the wrong system, some PS2 games are clearanced, where the xbox versions are not, etc.

The cheaper ones, 6.65 for example, just happens because of employees that do not know how to price adjust properly.
 
I just came back from TRU and there were some copies of VJ (for both GC/PS2), a few copies of VJ2 (GC), tons of FFCC & MP2E, and some other stuff. If anyone needs anything, let me know as I can go back tomorrow to pick them up.

I went there to pick up a copy of FFCC for myself and then meant to leave when an employee dropped off some more games... nothing interesting except for Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for the GC and right next to it was Timesplitters Future Imperfect!!:D

I just love TRU...:)

Pretty much how you do it at Ebgames.com, too. Put an excessive number of copies of one title in your shopping cart and if you've exceeded the maximum copies available, it will lower your request to the amount available.

Thanks. David85, I was referring to the clearanced games themselves.

The ones that rang up full price for me were on the list and for the proper system. I remember a couple of them, such as Def Jam: Fight for New York(Xbox) and Yu Yu Hakusho: Tournament Tactics(GBA). Also I was looking at screen at the time one of them was rang up(not sure what game it was, could have been one of the aforementioned), and it still said promo, but said regular price. Possibly it is reduced after the sale is totaled?

yeah just like how the xbox version of metal slug 4 and 5 is not on the list but the ps2 version is :whistle2:(

the tru on la cienega in los angeles had most of the sale games in a giant bin, very disorganized, plenty of metroid prime 2 and geist and doom 3(as of a couple of days ago) but mostly crap.

I don't care if FZero has been $20 forever, man that game is tight.

I hit a few TRU's on my way to Illinois yesterday, suprised there were still some decent games left. I managed to get: Boktai 2, Dark Cloud 2, Metal Slug Advance, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms X.
 
there was a nearby TRU next to one CC while i was shopping at CC because of the deals it had and i went to TRU to return PoP 2 for GC[19.99] because CC had PoP2 for Xbox for 16.96. when i went there i found pikmin 2 in the bottom of a bargain bin. allright

That's what I'm saying. TRU do not communicate with each other, so some stores have the things programed at the sale prices when others don't, it's very simple.
 
I have a few extra games (all are new/sealed) that are up for trade. Hey, didn't know if this is where I should post it but, the TRU in Queens, New York, off the 495 eastbound after Bell Blvd, still has a ton of 9.99 games in their budget bin. I picked up doom3, Kof, geist, killer 7, baten kaitos, pirates!, silenthill 4, thief, fatal frame II, and a couple others. You should hurry because there were only 1 left on a couple of them. This is the first time I saw good 9.99 games in New York.

Edit: Its in Little Neck. Couldn't remember when I originally posted.
 
Stopped by TRU in Irving, TX on my way to the DFW airport and was pleasantly surprised to find Bomberman for DS. I was so happy I bought another FF1+2.
 
The Chino Hills, CA Toys'R'Us is pretty much barren, although they did still have a ton of Geist, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and a couple of Bomberman DS.

Picked up Geist and BM DS for $20 total, so not too shabby.
 
Grabbed a copy of MP2: Echoes and Geist tonight. My TRU had ~8 copies of Geist left, so I might have to grab another for a friend of mine tomorrow if I swing by the area.
 
Checked out the remains of my TRU games section tonight while I was making a return and they had nothing good left. Good meaning high GR trade in values that I could actually remember since I forgot my list. They did have about 1,000,000 copies of MP2, several Geist and Baten Kwhatever, 3 Monkey Ball combos, 2 Metal Slug 4/5 and that's about it.

Forgot to check for Bomberman as well......:cry:
 
Just a heads up... I stopped by my TRU last night to pick up Geist. Not only was it $10, but so was Time Splitters 3: Future Perfect.

I thought Baiten Kaitos wasnt on the list, I went to price scan it and it still came up to $29.99. Good news is, there are tons of them at a local TRU. THere is nothing really good in my area. I was looking for Bomberman DS and some other stuff.
 
Baten Kaitos the one bundled with the soundtrack has been green tag and now is $10. The regular one was ringing full price and I don't know if it's $10 or not now. I may have that ass backwards but all I know is I go to the same store as Myke and we have a pile of the soundtrack version on the $10 rack.

Just so you know, I didn't hoard. I *did* buy two copies of Baten Kaitos, but only b/c I bought stuff for trade, mostly, and I wanted one of those to play (and I clearly had no idea about if it is in demand or not).

Did you go to Florence yesterday? There were some peculiar employees in the electronics section complimenting my attire (I managed a total dirty-old-man faux pas; I walked into a toy store wearing a t-shirt with a bondage-clad Betty Page on it. :shock: )

LOL I was there last night some middle aged goofy lookin brown haired guy was working games and he was there again tonight. I think he's a fancy boy. :roll: That is some funny shit though about the shirt! :lol:

They have about 6 more King of Fighters: Maximum Impact PS2 gets $19 credit @ GR, 1 Metal Slug 4/5, about 900 MP2, several Geist and Baten, 1 Killer 7 ps2, several rows of FF whatever its called for GBA and that's really all I noticed thats decent. I just stopped in to pick up a few games for people here and a couple KOF to trade @ GR.

man, i am SERIOUSLY enjoying Geist. i know its supposed to be a big let down, but since i was going into it expecting rubbish, i am pleasantly suprised. i know a lot of people are buying this since its the only thing left and they are hoping to trade it for something else, but its SERIOUSLY worth throwing in the cube and playing for a few hours.
 
I went to a TRU store in Castleton, Indiana today and they had about 50 copies of Grand Theft Auto Double Pack for $10 each that they didn't have when the price reduction started. That seems to be the only game they've restocked though. Weird. Not sure if they had a case of that game in the back or if they actually got a fresh case shipped to them.
 
Also, I saw another 15 copies of Baten Kaitos but it's the damn version with the cd and the sticker over the UPC and no one will sell it to me for $10 since it rings up at $30. TRU really needs to drop the price on that version too, since it seems to be the only version I can find.
 
I have an almost new, complete MS3. I'm already bored wth it, but sadly, the only interest I have in a potential trade is DS games.
