We're now testing a new feature on CAG, called Community Review. The idea is to provide a quick way to see the community's opinion of a game without having to read through a lot of different user reviews.

The concept is pretty simple. We have a bunch of different awards to choose from, both positive and negative. All you have to do is choose which awards you think a game deserves - we then total up the awards a game has, and display the top three on the product page for that game (and we'll be adding more stats soon). We'll also be able to do some interesting stuff with these reviews in the near future, like being able to search for games by community review criteria. So, searching for a game with the "multiplayer shitshow" and "so much content" awards on Xbox One should return The Master Chief collection.

We're still very much just testing this at the moment, feedback is welcome - especially if you have ideas for new awards we should add to the system. To get started, just search for a game and click the review link on the product page (in the left column).

Suggested awards:

Multiplayer No Show - This multiplayer game either has a tiny community or none at all.

Multiplayer Focus - This game focuses on the multiplayer and has little or no single-player content.

Ugly - This game doesn't look good at all. Superficial games need not apply.

Annoying Music or Voice Acing - This game is not pleasant to the ears, so you might want to play your own music or listen to podcasts while playing it.

Light on Content - If you care about volume of content, this game might be worth a rent or waiting for a good sale.

Try Before You Buy - This game may not appeal to everyone, so rent it or try out the demo first to see it for yourself.

Great Support - The developer has supported this game well after launch with new features and such.

Bad Support - The game is buggy and the developer has no addressed the issues yet.

I'm assuming that you can alter choices later, so some of these could be good for noting the state of the game.

Perhaps something about the game being very long or very short.

Maybe change the "Original Soundtrack This game has noteworthy original music"

to something that encompasses games with good licensed music like like GTA V or Forza Horizon 2.

There's also the "Wait for the Ultimate Edition / GOTY version" like we've seen with a few games with DLC out the wazoo and then there's a UE/GOTY edition that is cheaper.

See:

Ryse / Ryse Legendary Edition

Dead Rising 3 / Dead Rising 3 AE

Street Fighter (#) / Ultra / etc.

Batman Arkham City / Arkham City GOTY

Borderlands 1 / 2 ----> GOTY editions

Some games, it's just an obvious one that we'll have a GOTY/UE/etc coming out in the future.
