Num Lock button question

Now when I turn on my pc, the num lock button is not on. Press it once, it's still not on. But pressing it one more times it becomes normal again. So, is there some kind of key loggin or spyware in my pc? Or is it normal for that to happen? Also, I create another account in windows xp, when I log in to the new account, the button is on by default.

The button may not be reaching the actual button underneath the plastic. Try pressing hard on your Caps button to see if it works, or if it's actually necessary to press several times.
