Of course, most people know a good thing when they see it, everyone loves to save money. Then theres those who expect companies to give away everything for 90% off with free shipping and a gift card with every purchase.

By the way that Panzerhund edition weighs quite a bit. The shipping cost is more than justified, especially at that sale price.

 
Nobody expects anything. I shared a link and said I wasn't buying it. I didn't say it was a bad price, or that others shouldn't buy it. Get off your high horse.
 
I grabbed one, thanks OP.  Despite the fact that they also charged me sales tax, which is BS since I highly doubt the Bethesda store has a physical presence in Colorado.

Heh, cool.  I retract my criticism in that case.  I never knew Tree House was based in Denver (and didn't realize Bethesda was a TreeHouse operation until I got my order confirmation e-mail).  I really like the job TreeHouse did with my Reckoning Signature Editions, so now I'm looking forward to seeing this even more.  Thanks for the 4-1-1.

 
I'm just saying be happy with a good sale without always expecting more and more. Not sure how that puts me on a high horse but I realize you had to say something in your defense. 50% Off of a $100 product is a good deal by almost anyone's standards. Especially on a store exclusive collector's edition. Expecting shipping to be free on top of it for a heavy product like that is just 'Yeesh'... I don't know, I guess I'm just a reasonable guy.

Just a heads up, these were shipped with no padding in snug fit cardboard boxes. Any dent or ding suffered in transit transferred onto the outer box. Mine arrived with substantial damage. I contacted Pepita and while they actually answer their phone (as opposed to Digital River), they can't help. Any replacements or returns are being handled by Square and their customer service ops are closed until Monday. I hope others have better luck, but sadly the past few Square store orders I have received from Digital River were packed far better than this was and the flimsy CE box didn't help.

So basically Pepita takes care of our CE's like Digital River.... so no difference.

 
They fit exactly in the box and the outer box got crushed. Im on my phone so don't know how to attach pictures. Just imagine if one end got pushed in.

It sounds like Pepita didn't even handle the packaging. My invoice referenced Cinram as the actual shipper. Pepita seems to have just handled payment processing and pre-delivery customer service. I actually got through to someone at Square tonite and it sounds like they have already had multiple calls and e-mail tickets about damage and many copies haven't even been delivered yet.

Hopefully the next person on the phone with them can suggest for them to use a different packing process before they send the rest out. I still haven't had my order shipped yet :pray:

 
Now I'm worried. I'm 4/4 for perfect CE shipping this year. And 2.5 is one of my highly anticipated ones. Please don't crush my perfect day, shipping guys ;__;

I call BS on damage, the orders shipped like yesterday unless you live where the warehouse is no way you got it already.

I'd rather they not use large boxes. The last couple of CE's that I got from Amazon were completely destroyed from being tossed into a giant box with hardly any padding.

I like snug, strong boxes. But I agree, BB has done a good job as of late.
 
Just an FYI for the DAI Inquisitor's Edition folks, this is my story regarding this situation.

I also received a damaged set (my box had a hinge broken off, significant damage to the outer box, seems like most of the stuff inside is ok however).

I immediately complained to customer service through web chat (on Thursday night when I received it) as well as sent complaints via twitter to Gamestop, UPS, Project Triforce.

The escalated the chat representative to a supervisor, who eventually offered to SELL ME ANOTHER ONE to replace the broken box.  I of course, turned this down, because there was no guarantee the replacement would not be broken (in fact, I was almost positive it would be).  Not to mention, that is horrendous customer service.  I was advised due to the limited nature of the item, that I should return the item to the warehouse, and hope for a replacement (but it was not guaranteed, a refund was the most likely outcome).   I asked for a replacement to be shipped to my local Gamestop in hopes of it not getting destroyed in shipping (maybe placed in a larger box with other things). This was denied repeatedly, however he eventually advised me to speak with my manager first, and that he would submit a request to do it but it would need store authorization.

I never received a confirmation this was done, but I am friends with my local store manager as well, and so went to the store the next day he was in to see what we could do.  All the while I remained in contact with Project Triforce about getting things replaced (which is apparently still in the works).  UPS wants me to file a claim for damages (which I ended up having to do over the phone, and they are apparently going to contact me about someone coming to inspect the packaging and item).

So I head to my local Gamestop.  The manager contacts the 'direct store to home' office and speaks with a representative there, explaining the situation.  Apparently normal procedure is to send a replacement first, before shipping the broken product (which makes much more sense to me).  Fortunately, the chat representative had put in for a replacement order, but it was put on hold until I shipped mine back (or spoke with my local manager.. I guess),  The direct store to home agent removed the hold, and advised that if there is stock available to replace it, it would ship expressed to my house.  The chat supervisor had told me there was 18 copies left in the warehouse for replacement, so odds were nothing would come of this.

Come Tuesday, I still had not received a shipping confirmation email, so I figured no luck on this route.  However, on Tuesday I received a Dragon Age Inquisitor's Edition sized box from Gamestop.  This one also had damage, but much less so then the original I received, so certainly no complaints from my end.

For others in the same situation, I recommend talking to your local store if possible and see what they can do.

 
Not sure why so many are complaining about the shipping costs with the Panzerhound CE as I just put an order in with free shipping.  It was clearly shown on their site anything over $35 I believe, maybe they added this.  I was bummed when I passed on this earlier this year, $50 is great seeing as the game is also a sleeper hit.

Shipping is free for me also, that has definitely changed since yesterday.

That's definitely new. I ordered yesterday and paid $17 shipping. I'm going to contact customer service and see if I can get and adjustment since it hasn't shipped yet (especially funny since its shipping from about 10 minutes from my house).
 
I submitted a ticket with Tree House customer support to see if they would honor the free shipping deal for my order.  We'll see what happens.  Thanks for the heads up on the shipping change.

Pretty hilarious that their online store support is closed both today and tomorrow.  I can understand being closed on Thanksgiving (as a former retail worker, I'm not in favor of the trend to Thanksgiving Day an extension of Black Friday), but to be closed on the busiest shopping day of the year?  Kind of strange.

 
Thanks for the heads up on the free shipping from Bethesda store. Domestic shipping yesterday was certainly $17.

I just pulled the trigger on the Pazerhund Edition. I'd now like to hear about how I'm a self entitled brat that could have spent $67 versus the $50 actually spent.

You don't get GCU though with PM's. And my 1 time preordering a game with BB (Arkham Origins for the Metalpak) was a shitshow & I'm long enough tenure on CAG to remember stuff like Witcher 2 Dark Edition, Forza 4/Horizon CE, Dark Souls CE, etc. that I don't trust BB for preorders.

My KH2.5 CE got from the warehouse (TN) to Chicago within 6 hours. Chicago is about 1 hour away from me and the delivery date still says next Tuesday. Do I really have have to wait till Tuesday to prevent me from getting the game early?

sweet just got my KH2.5 in cali by USPS. the box is definitely snug it barely fits so there's some minor creases along the edges on the top and bottom of the box from banging in there. not as bad as i'd thought but i could see people getting upset

 
Just got my KH 2.5 as well with no damage. Like others had said the shipping box was small with no room for error. Any dings to the outer box would definitely transfer to the game as well.

Great. What a pain. I have no idea why almost nobody can package well. I'm not going to be tolerant to any kind of damage for something that cost $100.

 
It's because they don't care and it doesn't register with them that a box matters. They probably liken games with kids or younger adults who just tear the outer box off to get to the contents.
