The only "deals" are to catch the stores either trying to liquidate stock of an old (and usually larger) CE (like Bethseda is doing w/Panzerhund) or catch them in a clearance/price reduction sale on some site/store somewhere. I can't recall EVER seeing a "black friday" sale on CEs, but admit there may be some that occurred without me knowing.

At least its partially good news because that means you don't have to wait a whole year to catch a good deal, but it DOES mean you'll probably have to spend the entire next year checking CAG to try and catch 'em ;)

To be fair, Halo 3/Reach CE's had sales on the same BF as right after their releases two months prior, that's when I got mine. Also I remember BB clearing out old AC Brotherhood CE's the BF after Revelations came out.

Also XSeed is selling the goodies from all of their recent CE's a la carte on their website currently.

 
Got the KH 2.5 CE today, it was awfully battered, creases running up the front and back, alll the corners on the right side dented in, I wouldn't mind so much if I hadn't paid $110 dollars for this thing. I blame the damage on the CE's layout of putting all the weight(book/steelbook) on the one side and then nothing on the other side.

Was anybody who ordered the Kingdom Hearts 2.5 collectors edition able to get a replacement?Im having a hell of a time getting one.Their customer service is horrible and keep giving me the run around.

 
My wolfenstein panzer hund edition came today.  I am really pleased with this.  It was packed well in the shipping box, and packed in its own box very well.  Very nice for $50 dollars, my only complaint is the steelbook doesn't have the title on the spine, its just blank, stupid complaint i know.  

 
So, I'll ask the sketchy question: I pre-ordered KH 2.5 Remix from Best Buy because I wanted the pin with it, even though I haven't gotten a PS3 yet. However, now there are murmurs about an Xbox One release down the road, and I'm rethinking my purchase. I'm having the game mailed to me. Would Best Buy take back the pre-order for full price if I didn't give the pin back? I ask more out of curiosity than planning, but now that there is at least mention of an Xbox compilation release (what I wanted all along), I'm unsure I want to follow through with my PS3 plans.

Nope. I haven't gotten anything since I spoke to them on Wednesday of last week and they opened a ticket for me. It's pretty ridiculous that they apparently sold a bunch more copies last night at their launch event and haven't even bothered to assist the people who pre-ordered and received damaged copies.

Who was the shipping carrier? I never got a shipping confirmation from Bethesda's shop after my order confirmation.

Lame. I haven't gotten home from work to see mine yet. That (steelbook spines lacking titles) irks the hell out of me too. I'm almost more ticked about that on the Dragon Age IE steelbook than the fact that every other single component arrived broken in half.

What number did you call?I called the Cinram distrubution,I couldnt find a number for square enix themselves.Yeah and this is pretty crappy that they dont even acknowledge us,after this expierience I wont be buying anything through their store again

I just spoke to customer service again and they claimed "someone is looking at it" and the delay was caused by the holiday. They also said Pepita is somehow involved which doesn't make any sense. I told them I would call back again tomorrow if I didn't have a response.

I called Square Enix at 1-858-790-7529. They opened a ticket for me last week, but nothing has been done and honestly the phone rep sounded like they didn't think it was a big deal. He told me "go ahead and play the game, it's just a box" and someone will look into it. I suspect they will try to either do a partial refund or just send out a replacement box which is not acceptable.

 
I got mine today. Pretty relieved that it wasn't as damaged as most people here described. Only a little bent at one corner, everything else is in pristine condition. While I do question why there was no protection, and why use such a small box, I'm pretty happy that I came out of this vaguely scathed. Now all I gotta be hopeful for is some restocking of The Witcher 3 CE pls pls. 

 
My KH 2.5 CE came last Saturday but my shipping email wasn't received until just yesterday. Must have been some glitch. I got lucky with mine. It had minor wear and tear on the corners.

These things are going for $230+ on eBay. iirc, they were initially going for $180. Whoa.

Yea I purchased two, keeping one and was gonna give one to my nephew for christmas but sorry nephew, you will just get the normal version now =P

The UPS My Choice email I got mentions "NEWGISTICS - KY2" as the origination. If you go to this website and type in your order number it will give you the tracking number. I don't know what NEWGISTICS is, but it looks to be shipped from TreeHouse.

EDIT: Funny, my Panzerhund was supposed to arrive today but now it is tomorrow and the package I have coming tomorrow is coming today. WTF UPS...

Had my KH 2.5 CE come in today. Got lucky with no dings or dents on the box itself. I have to say that the steel book is gorgeous up close on the outside and inside. Hopefully for those that did get damaged are able to get replacements.

Finally had my gamecube adapter from a put together smash bundle shipped today from best buy. I was getting worried after they shipped the controller out seperately.

Yeah I didn't get a shipping email in inbox so I just replied to email from CSR during that whole "your credit card is high risk" nonsense I got when I ordered. The guy replied quickly and said in promotions tab (I got rid of that shit within a day that I say it around launch) or spam which was where it was.

Delivery is today as well

 
I got my Kh2.5 CE today and two of the corners of the box are crushed with a nice crease along the bottom of the front side. No padding what so ever. I guess I'll be contacting square soon too.
 
So what is actually being done about the damaged KH CEs (just opened mine, dinged considerably at two corners and lightly nicked in various other spots)? I honestly don't have an ocean of time for customer service rn but am willing to go through the trouble if it means some sort of compensation/replacement.

Nothing yet. I think I was probably one of the first to contact customer service a few minutes after mine was delivered last Wednesday. I called Pepita and they denied having anything to do with replacements or refunds. They directed me to Square Enix and their customer service person had me open a ticket and send photos of the damage. I spoke to the same guy today and he told me my ticket has been forwarded to a different department and that Pepita is investigating as well and that I should just play the game, it's just the box and they will make a decision in the near future about how to handle replacements. I told him I would call back tomorrow and that I expect a replacement and a return label. He said nothing at that point but thanked me for calling. Overall, their customer service appears to be very lacking and I'm not sure why I need to wait for an investigation into their poor decision making about how to package and ship something I paid a lot of money to buy.

Don't dismiss them just yet, maybe they haven't had to deal with items damaged in shipping on this scale before. You can curse their name once they tell you how they are going to fix it. ;)

Got my KH CE in as well, there was some whiting on the corners from it rubbing against the box, but nothing I would consider "damage".

 
called square today and the guys like just open the box and play.  we will just take care of it if we have time and any replacements >.<

 
Got my KH 2.5 CE awhile ago and just opened it. My biggest shipping pet peeve is having no protection or padding. Cover right corner is dented and the crease goes along Sora's face and continues onto the side and back. I'm not a fan of Digital River, but even their packaging had somewhat of padding.

I did grab a LE copy after class. I like the packaging. 

Edit: Boom. Did a tweet and contacted support on it. 

Edit #2: The game doesn't use the same data from an import version :( I liked how FF13-LR did that.

Honestly everyone who has problems should just post on there Twitter page since it seem a lot had problems cause to many complaints on a public venue will get there attention faster then a private phone call cause no company want exposed bad customer service
 
got my 2 kh ce's today. both boxes arrived in pretty good condition with some damage, but not bad considering the shipping box size and lack of packaging. i'm more annoyed with the fact that both of the sticker seals have damage on them. one has a small piece ripped off and the other isn't even completely applied to the box

 
My copy of the KH 2.5 CE arrived too. Dents and heavy creasing on all sides of the box, worst of all on the front and back sides. The seal stickers are also partially damaged...

I first contacted Cinram, the company whose name & number were listed on the packaging invoice. I was directed to a voicemail box that had no message (no name or department, etc).

I then called the toll-free # for Pepita at (800)-838-8518. They directed me to a non-existset website for support...

...turns out the non-existent site address wasn't a website at all, but a partial customer support email address which I found elsewhere on the web: [email protected] .

I've emailed that address for Pepita and am waiting & hoping for a reply.

Yeah, so the number for SE is on the website "(800)-838-8518" I won't be free until Thursday afternoon and I'll call them then. If anyone else has a twitter to tweet them at, let me know. I'm very upset about this

I'm sorry, but telling me it's no big deal and they'll investigate it when they get to it is not acceptable. They have had my money since the first week in November. I do not have the product I paid to receive and they appear to be doing little or nothing to help. I'll give them until tomorrow to come up with a solution, but I should not have to sit around waiting while Pepita, Cinram and Square Enix point fingers at each other.

The fact that they are saying "it's just a box..." shows how out of tune they are with some (maybe most) of the intended audience. A good portion of customers are likely keeping this sealed anyway, and the ones that opened and played the game certainly want their box to be in pristine condition. And for $110 it damn well should be!

My copy came in very good condition by the way, compared to many others. Just some minor wear on a couple of the corners. I am mystified by these "seals" that are supposed to be on the package though since mine doesn't appear to have any.

hahaha they really said that? that's so disrespectful i'd complain and quote those exact words for everyone else to see. i agree with the other poster we probably have much better chances of getting a response by posting on their twitter

they mean the stickers covering the opening flaps on the top and bottom of the box. some have both, others just have one on the top. mine had both

Odd, I'm pretty sure the box I got had no seal stickers at all on it, but I will have to re-examine it when I get home.

Mine had stickers on the top and bottom as well
 
Wow I got lucky. Ordered one, and it has minimal creasing/wrinkling in the bottom right of the front. Overall I am happy.
