When I pre-ordered Destiny: GE they charged my gift card immediately, even though there was apparently some stock issues when I placed my order because it was back-ordered for at least two weeks. I just ordered this game on Xbox One and my gift card was charged immediately again. What was odd is that there were four different shipping options, and all of the pay options showed the game arriving on the same day which was a week earlier than the free option.

 
Monster Hunter 4 CE is finally available for in-store pre-orders at Gamestop.  Also Monster Hunter 4 CE shows up in the best buy search bar drop down list, but the product is not posted yet.  I have a feeling it might be up next month.

It's been showing up in the search list for quite awhile. I think that happens because the Best Buy website "saves" popular search terms. If you type in "Monster Hunter 4" the following 3 things show up:

monster hunter 4

monster hunter 4 ultimate

monster hunter 4 ultimate collector's edition

I'm guessing it was a Christmas sale. Far Cry 4 would be worth it, it's a good game (more of the same of FC3, but prettier). But Unity is a fucking mess. I played about three hours of it and tossed it to the end of my backlog.

Yeah you're right BB saves search terms. Always saves all my search news. If the product isn't listed on BB website, then chances are it won't be released.

Yeah, that's what I thought of when I saw it as well. I won't buy that Titanfall one for $100, but I might grab a Halo one, haha. I guess the biggest question becomes: Who's at the center of the statue, Locke of Chief?

 
I think the cleanest way to get the Witcher steelbook is to just preorder another copy of the game (with steelbook this time) separately for in store pickup.

When you get your CE, just return both of your preorders in store and request for them to do a rebuy of your CE with the steelbook. The steelbook will package out free that way.

got My Uplay Shipment today for $45.48 Total with shipping but idk it wierd cause it look like on my paypal statement that the authorization was canceled and received a email today from ubisoft saying that a refund was issued but it wierd cause only the shipping was supposed to be refunded so idk what going on there.

i wouldn't even bother preordering the limited edition either , it will end up on amazon warehosuse for $7 within one year after release date.

Yeah that's the "LCE" aka Limited Collector's Edition which is probably just a big statue like the Titanfall one and will go down in price quick. However, if it comes with a really limited piece of DLC armor like the flaming helmet then that will fetch a pretty penny in time.

I'm just interested in LE for the steelbook and hopefully it includes a season pass like Halo 4 did. Plus if you pre-order from Best Buy you get an art book.

I think the BB art book is only if you preorder in store on one of the two upcoming store demo dates and only at certain stores. Also, Amazon is now listing all three versions including the CE. Hopefully BB will add the CE as I cannot see paying full price for this one and GCU, the $10 cert and the double RZ points make it a bit more reasonable.

If anyone goes to the store demo today please let us know the details about the art book!

I'm going to the one on the 3rd because my store isn't doing it today. If we can get the art book by doing "in store pick up" when ordering online then that's cool too. I don't think the book is going to be rare or exclusive to certain stores though so I'm not too worried.

why wouldn't you preorder on bestbuy.com. you have nothing to lose, if they cancel on you, you mostly like going to be compensated with gift card equal in value of the LE, or a free standard copy of the game. if they don't cancel on you. you get the game. if you preorder in store, they are not responsible to hold your copy for you.

The big one wasn't up on BBY yet and I don't like the tolling charge. It always sets off stuff with my card. I know it's probably not the best way but they always have my stuff I'm there a lot and if I ever have an issue they always do something for me. I was the oy one with a ghost edition of destiny at my store and I was very taken care of when it came in damaged.

That and I'm preordering for the art book.

As for the $10 cert, I can't guarantee this method would work but it's been reported several times here to do the following:

1. Preorder in-store for the $5 minimum.
2. Purchase your CE like normal with the steelbook (in this case, following my suggestion to rebuy the CE with the steelbook would take care of this step for you. To make it a little cleaner, I would cancel my online order that has the steelbook instead of purchasing and returning it so that you would have one less purchase transaction for the bonus points to be confused with).
3. Wait for the 500 bonus points to clear.
4. Cancel the preorder deposit to get your money back.

The idea is that the system just searches for a preorder and purchase. They don't necessarily have to be linked. This is the solution for people that preorder one platform and change their mind to pick up the other platform after the game has already been released. Cancelling the deposit shouldn't reverse the bonus points since the preorder transaction is isolated and the bonus points should stick to your CE/steelbook purchase transaction. Again, this is just a theoretical approach but I know for a fact you'll get your steelbook at least.

$100 for LE $250 for CE, GCU discounts apply, BB only has the LE up at the moment.  Given the year (or more) its gonna be before this game ships I'd probably keep a backup order at amazon, since microsoft store and best buy both are kinda shitty about trying to change payment methods or ship-to addresses.
