I decided to buy the batman arkham knight edition on amazon.co.uk because i couldn't get it here. I bought 2 a few weeks ago and they sent me this email today

i buy collectors editions all the time that are a reasonable price, paying $400 for a game is a reallyyy special kind of stupid.

 
People can get really offended/defensive if you call their collecting habits stupid, but just as it is their right to buy or collect whatever they want, it's also the right of anyone else to consider it stupid.

I always thought collecting bottle caps was stupid, but I never tell anyone they can't do it. :D

So you ARE part of the community, interesting. So instead of saying it's stupid and essentially insulting whoever did buy it, why not say something like, "That's not for me"? Or are you trying to piss people off?
 
I don't even know why I ordered this, I thought it looked cool but realized I don't need it. Does anyone who missed out want to take my order before I cancel it? Only asking to pay the total including tax, PM if you are interested. CAG member must have high feedback!

I'd love to do it, but even at $320 I still can't do or justify it. I have the PC version, so the Handsome Collection on a next-gen console platform I don't own yet or want to play FPS on is useless to me.

While as cool as it sounds and looks, with that money I would rather spend on other CEs, a graphics card upgrade, maybe a Wii U, imports, etc. If it was around $200 or less like other iOS/Android controlled robots I would probably get it with little hesitation.

Wow, people are really all over my ass on this $50 toy comment. The comment was meant for how cheap it actually costs in comparison to others. We sell at BBY robots of equal capabilities for under $150. Which is what this SHOULD be at.
 
I think the Lithos are/were up for sale at $15 each as well on their shop, so that's $165 or so (if it was 11 lithos?) of the $400 right there.  Then $70 for 2 games, DLC, + a steelbook and you're pretty close to the $150 mark that people are saying the robot should be at.  We're just not used to seeing (nor do I WANT to get used to seeing) CEs that have an expensive "toy" in them like that, but I don't think the price is too extremely inflated based on that.

Wow, missed rhe Claptrap CE, but at the same time, don'g see this selling highly, even on ebay. Borderlands even as a CE isn't desirable compared to say a Zelda CE. And with CE's going up to console prices, doubt there are crazy fans willing to buy it that highly. I might just not care about buying more CE's, if CE's become $200 to buy down the road. No matter how limited, eventually CE's market will crash, then hope it gets back to sub 100 levels again.

Sigh.  I hate when they announce things like this, and immediately make them up for pre-order.  Working crazy hours, I found out late.  Hopefully Best Buy will put it up for order . . .

I'm not too hopeful though, seeing as I couldn't get their last Ultimate Loot Chest Edition.  And that had 10x as many produced.   :wall:

So stoked I lucked out and snagged a Claptrap. That thing's gonna be my new robot butler! I've had a string of good luck with CE's. Got a Majora's Mask LE game and system too! My credit card company is loving me right now!!! LOL
 
Still can't believe I missed out on this multiple times, guess that's just my luck eh.. I'll snag someone's preorder if they don't want it!  :D/  haha
