I would not wait any later than 2/15. The thing I would do if I was unsure and wanted to wait for a review is use a secondary credit card that may decline and not authorize and you could change payment back if you really want the game. Even if you change payment back on 2/18, the way Amazon works is that you should still get the game on 2/20 if you need a couple extra days.

 
Just noticed I have been charged for my Majora's Mask LE (And shitty guide which will promptly be returned). Guess it should be shipping out soon

 
Wow. Just found out the remote control claptrap has a built in camera that streams to your phone while you control it.

I keep looking at the price and want it less. The B2 ULC stuff is stalled on eBay, so I'm wondering if I could ever half get my money back on it, I wouldn't keep it forever.

yea and if you a pro member get 15,000 points after your first purchase. The interest rate sucks but I got it anyhow just for points on purchases since I never leave a balance on credit cards anyhow since I never charge nothing unless I got the funds instantly available anyhow so interest rate didn't really bother me

just noticed that too. They just billed for the Monster Hunter LE also. I'm going to try to return the overpriced guide as soon as I get it. I'll post if they let me return it or not, for those that are wondering. Though I got a feeling that, depending on the employee, I might have a hard time.

 
Yeah this one might be a little tough to do. People got away with returning smash + controller in the adapter bundle mostly because employees didn't even know they were selling online. I get the feeling hundreds of people lining up to return their guides is gonna raise eyebrows.

Can't wait for the impotent rage though

When I ordered it I figured that I'd be stuck with the guide. I got caught up with "omg if I don't order now, I'll never get the Skull Kid figurine". When I think about it now, it's like "I just paid nearly double the game price for a freakin' tiny plastic Skull Kid figurine"

So I did in store pick up for the Monster Hunter 4 Collector's Edition off of gamestop's site. I've been hearing that I won't get it day 1 since I wasn't charged for any type of shipping? Is this true?

You should be able to get it on launch day. If you did store pickup from the website it means that they'll ship a copy to your store or tell your manager to set one aside from their shipment for you.

Yeah it sucks they can get away with forced bundling but on the other hand it is sorta ridiculous how entitled people feel because of it. My impotent rage comment wasn't directed at you personally but more in general. There was at least one guy in the gamecube adapter thread that yelled at an employee for not allowing him to return parts of the adapter bundle and I fully expect more of the same come next week.

Thanks for this. I had one ordered with them so I took a chance and did an email inquiry about the price difference & they're crediting me the difference. It's showing as $189.04 (w tax) now vs. the $216 and still listed as processing in my account orders like before so fingers crossed!

I intend to do the same thing. That was the only way I could get the LE, same for DAI. My GameStop had no problem with me returning the CE Guide from DAI (except for the DA super-fan in the store that likes to collect all DLC for the games), and I expect I'll have no problem here also. Just make sure to take your invoice in with you so they have proof you bought it.

I'm not talking about the diamond plate remake, I'm talking the game CE. I think it was $150? Although someone offered me an great offer for the game and steelbook(I wanted the game on PC, which didn't have a CE, but I wanted the CE also so I sold the PS3 game, steelbook, DLC combined for close to $100 I think) Now that the remake comes to mind, I wonder if they will sell a separate Claptrap RC toy.

5,000 of that edition. Doesn't mean they can't sell the item separately or in another package. Think loot crate edition vs diamond loot crate.

Yeah it was $150. I didn't look at the market for it, I thought it was holding its value pretty well, at least I expect it to be much more valuable than the diamond plate chest.

This. That's why there's always hope for another legacy edition of the PS4. Sony could just make more of the gray systems without the numbered plates.

Let's be honest though... it doesn't happen often and anything anyone lists will be the exception... not the rule.

Yes they made two revisions to the loot chest and sold them separately at $100 each. That didn't get you the steelbook though did it?

The first edition sold out really quickly. The second is still available.

Capcom made a limited edition RE: Mercenary 3DS protective case numbered to 100 as a preorder bonus and afterwards made an open edition... which is quickly pulled due to negative reactions.

However the number of "numbered" items that were included in a CE that were later reissued as "open" editions is very very small.

I don't see them going through the trouble of making an R/C claptrap as a stand alone product unless they do it in conjunction with ThinkGeek. At the very least it'd have to have a price tag of ~ $200 for it to be viable for them and I don't think they'd sell enough units to justify mass producing it.

 
I guess I will still have the return window to decide if I can't by release day. Looks cool in the video....but I am having flashbacks to my SC:Blacklist plane tearing apart the first day I had it. Ugh....wind.

At one of the Gearbox Q/A Session at PAX South this question was actually brought up. Randy Pitchford said that they are trying to work on getting more created, but apparently the whole process is very complicated that it does not look like it will happen. He also stated that he himself did not even get to pre-order when it was first released. He ran out of his meeting when he was told pre-orders were up and it was sold out.

tldr, Gearbox said they are looking to make more, but are not to optimistic

There's an article on Kotaku from 2012 where he said the exact same thing about the original ULCE after pre-orders sold out in a few days. AFAIK, those extra units never materialized. Their compromise was the Diamond Loot Chest released almost a year later.

I could have sworn that I got The Order CE from bestbuy when it was $20 off original price back in july, to my surprise its not in my orders nor is there any confirmation in my email from back then, I must be going crazy >.

Check your spam folder, for some reason, my BB emails have been going there.

 
So I don't think I will be getting the new 3ds XL so I 'm thinking of selling my Majora's Mask CE, Should I sell it here or on Ebay? Because I looked it up yesterday and its not going for less than $100 there, what do you guys think? I still have an XL but would prefer to play it on a new XL.
