For anyone interested if you preorder the MP10 bundle with the Majora Mask CE guide it knocks off $5.xx from the guide, worth it if you have GCU. Cheapest way to buy the guide anywhere now
 
Zelda guide from Amazon is starting to ship. Was originally estimated to be delayed until next Friday but it looks like they finally got their copies.

mine has a delivery estimate of next wed right now, hasn't shipped yet though. I also picked up the copy I preordered at Gamestop, it was MSRP (ugh) - 10% but I figure with how rare it is and how much GS credit I have, might as well. Its really good looking.

I mostly picked it up since I already had the Zelda chest set and the ALBW guide. Haven't really used a guide in years but they sure look nice.

 
Got an email from GS saying that my LE guide for MM has been delayed, so they sent me a code for a digital version in the mean time.  Anyone interested in buying the code? PM me with a fair price and its yours.

He flags the department manager over and they proceed to discuss what's going on. Ten minutes later she comes over and tells me that it was a mistake and that pre-orders were not supposed to be available, and that what they received were only available on a first come, first serve basis and apologizes for it. For another ten minutes I have a spirited discussion with her on how pre-orders are supposed to work, how they should honor their mistake and colorfully convey my disappointment on how it was handled. She takes down my number and says that she'll see what she can do for me...yeah right, as these things are flying out the door.
I leave super pissed and multiple calls to corporate only lead back to a promise that the store manager will be giving me call about my issue. That was 10 hours ago, I'm still waiting...

Probably my last chance at one as I was always a day late and a dollar short to secure one previously. Hey, it's just a toy after all, right? You win some and you lose some.

Which Fry's was this, out of curiosity? I have my own hatred of Fry's for non gaming related reasons, and try to avoid ones where I, or someone I know, has had issues.

Come on now. That's a nintendo issue for making a paper thin flimsy outer box. People expect retailers to take care of their $50 video games like they're $2,000 TV's or something.

I worked at Wal-Mart for a bit. Employees didn't even treat the 2,000 tv's like 2,000 tv's. But then again it is walmart.

 
Not exactly a Collectors Edition question but, does anyone know if Best Buy will be getting the pre-order plush for Story of Seasons? It's not yet listed on their product page but Best Buy has been known to be pretty slow on this sort of stuff.

Unlikely. The only retailers that have been discussed by Xseed are GS and Amazon.

Yes, I suspect BB doesn't want to deal with what is essentially a separate physical item that needs to be shipped, especially for a niche game they know most people will be buying with a GCU discount and that they probably won't stock in most stores.

Odds are good that you and everyone else are backordered like I am. Kinda weird that I seem to be the only person to get this email that I've seen. Who knows what is going on with Best Buy at this point. 2 different twitter agents have said 2 different thing. First one said everyones orders are just sitting in the warehouse waiting. The other said they're all backordered waiting for more stock.

Maybe it's me but I think it would have made more sense to get a zelda pin for preordering a..... zelda game.

There is none. It was GS's idea to tie the pins to code steam probably to drive up orders of a relatively unknown game by bundling it with stuff people would want. Nintendo world for example handed out the pins to people who went to the midnight launch
 
How much did the skull kid majoras mask shipment weigh? I've got a free thought to be cancelled order being delivered tomorrow that weighs 1 pound according to My UPS. Seems like they shipped the regular version of the game :(

There is a green pin that comes with pre-orders from Amazon and Gamestop. The way both companies handled the collector's editions differed slightly, Gamestop - bundled the pin and Amazon - the pin was sealed within the collector's edition.

Gamestop had a pin for preordering either version. The CE also contained an exclusive pin only inside of it.

I've worked at a Home Depot as well, but their receiving was no where near the volume of places like Target/Walmart/Best Buy. The term throwing the a truck originated because that's what happens.

honestly after grabbing both and opening my MH, its alright but I don't get the insane hype over it. It's nice but the improvement still feels somewhat incremental esp. since the 3d drains the battery so much

Surprised any Targets had these systems still as far as delayed launch. This could not be due to weather, so was it delayed or was there a second shipment?

 
so will the regular monster hunter game preorders come with the pin from amazon? Amazon has a page for it but my order doesn't say it has the pin.. but when I click on the item it goes to the pin page that's sold out?

I wonder if they will just tape the pin to the outside?

BB ran out of metaknights long before having it in the ad, these things are fickle

 
Got my MM LE from BB. It was abit torn in the front :(. Other than that, the box came in pristine condition. Now to put the Skull Kid next to the Ganondorf statue I got awhile back.
 
Just got my 2 MM LE w/ Skull Kid from Amazon (Sunday delivery?)

Both were mint perfect. No issues at all with the box. I was worried after what was being reported about Best Buys packing.

 
Congrats to everyone that got their Zelda 3DS XL's & Skull kid bundles. I am waiting on BB to ship the 3DS XL - I can't wait!! If anyone has an extra Skull Kid bundle they're willing to part with, PM me. :)

 
June 2nd is months away, but with GCU working on collector's editions at BB, these collections always sell out online, so I'd get them now if you've got the cash/credit or you're just crazy enough to do so... X1 version has been available, but PS4 version just came back in stock online. Store pickup IS available.

After watching MH4 CE comes in 3 pieces... since I couldn't cancel my order from Amazon. I decided to sell it... made $50 extra to pay for Claptrap.

The thing is trusting in Nintendo LEs....I don't trust them anywhere to be honest except the Nintendo store. Pretty much every limited thing they release is a fiasco so I usually don't bother.

Considering in both cases it is confirmed to have been Nintendo's fault and not BBY (Nintendo sent them less product then they were supposed to get) plus BBY either gave a $50 voucher for anything they sell (for the 3DS system) or the LE game for free (for cancelled LE game orders) I fail to see how BBY dropped the ball...

Does the situation suck overall, but I can't think of a single retailer in my personal experience that has ever done anything like this when these things happen.
