So Best Buy went from over-extending preorders (and offering $50 "We're sorry" GCs), to accidentally cancelling valid orders (and offering GCs and free copies of the CE), to now having inventory available on store shelves.

I didn't think it was even possible to fuck up a release as bad as they did.
I'm one of the poor, unfortunate souls who ended up with a $50 GC (which has already expired without ever being used) in place of a Majora's Mask New 3DS XL - not just the CE of the game. At least the game itself is relatively cheap. Good luck trying to find a MM N3DSXL for less than $400 on eScalpers, though. And I'm a REAL Zelda fan and collector, which only makes the whole situation even more sad.

To make matters worse, there's this fucker, who's sold close to 300 CEs and shows no sign of stopping. How on Earth does a single person get so many "limited" items? It boggles my mind.

Btw, guys, no one's answered my question yet, so it still stands:

Hey, guys, can someone answer me a question about the Japanese MGSV: TPP Collector's Edition (Premium Package, or "the one with the full robo-arm")?

As always, I was too late to jump on the pre-order bandwagon, and by the time I checked the Japanese retailers, they were all sold out (Yes Asia, Nippon-Yasan and even Play-Asia and their stupid $500 price tag). However, at one point, Nin-Nin-Game (which I'd never heard of before) apparently had one copy in stock.

A quick check for trusted site reviews later, and I was the proud holder of a pre-order... or so I thought. I got three e-mails from their store at once: Order confirmation, Payment accepted and an Out of stock notice (also, a PayPal e-mail with the payment's receipt, which did go through).

My question is: is this common practice, since the item isn't technically available yet, or did I get screwed out of my copy? Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone know if the eu/jp regions will have the English audio option for phantom pain. Or will they keep the language for the region?
IIRC, the JP version of Ground Zeroes has Japanese audio and English subtitles. I'd guess The Phantom Pain will follow suit.

As for the EU version, I'm assuming it has English audio and subtitles in the language of whatever region you're in.

I hate that they put the security tags on them. Luckily the one I grabbed didn't appear bent in the front but the other did.

Seeing that image of them in the wild gives me a warm tingly feeling.

But seriously, do you live in a remote area with low density of gamers? I doubt a display like that would last even 10 seconds at my bestbuys. Even randos in the store looking for other stuff would probably know about it and pick it up. At this point, I think the employees already have dibs or you'd have to be camping the bestbuy gaming area to luck out on the few that might find their way to stores. And amiibo hunters practically stalk the stores already.

And bestbuy never cancelled these, just gave them free for fake cancelling. They knew they had extra. And although I was able to get 1 from amazon (albeit with tears), I would love if there is a ton of them reaching stores that were held up by the port strikes or more produced.

What site did that? Never had anything like that happen before.
Nin-Nin-Game. First time shopping there, so I really don't know how they work. This is what the "out of stock" email said:

Thanks for your order with the reference [REFERENCE] from Nin-Nin-Game.Com - All Japan Import Video Games, Figures & Hobby.

Unfortunately, one or more items are currently out of stock. This may cause a slight delay in your delivery. Please accept our apologies and rest assured that we are working hard to rectify this.

Got an SKU for that version of the game?

Wasn't sure. Thanks guys.
Don't take my word for it... I seldom import but I was under the impression that was how things were working with the two major players this generation with everything from Nintendo being region locked and physical media being unlocked from Sony/Microsoft but digital codes being locked to that region (meaning a European code has to be redeemed on a European account in the European store).

I'm sure someone can either confirm or rebut with 100% certainty but I haven't imported anything lately.
Would it be on my receipt?
It should be, seven digits I think.

It's the same LE that every other major retailer is getting, the game with a calendar in a small box.
That picture makes it seem as if the Calendar is a separate item from what's included in the LE as the calendar is stated as a pre-order bonus. I don't recall them stating that the KH 1.5 Remix with the artbook was a pre-order bonus, but a limited time upgrade.

It's true but it's really easy to get around. Just make another PSN account with a fake (or real, if you know a real one) address based in the region that you want to download DLC from. No matter where you are actually located, when you log in with the second account, you will go to the store based where the fake address is, so you can download the DLC from there. Once the DLC is installed on your console, any of your PSN accounts can play it, so long as all of the accounts have the console set as their home console.

I have PSN accounts in NA, Japan, and the UK. Whenever I import something that comes with DLC, I just switch accounts to download it.

QUICK OPINION?

Over the Past week over on the Amiibo Thread we have been using a system using a phone app set up for fellow cags to alert other cags who arent always online to be alerted when amiibos show up in stock, and it been working real good and helping out alot of cags find what they want in time.

So what people think if we did something similar in this thread also? Cause i know personally i aint always able to be on CAG since i have other stuff to do so the alerts make it alot easier for those that work or have school or other responsibilities to still have a fair chance so pretty much it would be like a buddy system of fellow cags if that make sense?

is anyone interested in something like that? The app would require a OS that have Itunes or Google Play Store on it though

I'm in. I never got an invite into the other group, but I also never asked because I already have all 29 of the smash bros line. Not getting sucked into that other line.

I would love to be apart of that. The amiibo group on Line is very handy and having a group for this thread would be awesome to know right when collector's edition goes up for a game also.

I'm in. Don't have time to stalk CAG all day and missed out on Batmobile and Claptrap. Have a feeling Phantom Pain will be quick so LINE would help a lot.

CE/LE Alerts:

Ok so everyone who interested in this im about to set up the group now so here the info for it:

Download the App LINE:

For IOS Users: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/line/id443904275?mt=8

For Android Users: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.naver.line.android&hl=en

Then After you download the app and register send me your username in a PM on here and i Can then Start adding people to the group on there.

There will be two different ones and here the explanation of both:

CAG CE/LE Alerts:

 • For Alerts of Pre-Orders going up or a restock of a Previous sold out Pre-order
 • No off topic talk in this group just alerts
 • When you post a Alert post what the item is and what system and what retailer and a link to the page if possible
 • If a Alert is posted do not post reply to it in this group for it will bury the alert that was posted and people could miss out so instead post here in the Cag thread on the website or in the 2nd group which be explained below
CAG CE/LE General Talk:

 • Any General CE/LE Talk or questions
 • If a alert was posted in the alert thread that alert could be discuss in this group as to not clutter the alerts group burying the alert

So when you PM me your Line Username to be added specify which group you want to be added to or even both if you desire.

Again im doing this as a way for Cags to help other Cags like a buddy system so therefore just 2 simple rules: (Breaking either could result in termination from group)

 • No Trolling (Meaning do not post a false alert just to be trolling to get a rise out of others)
 • No Bragging of Reselling or Hoarding Multiples for profit

IF THERE ANYMORE QUESTIONS ON ANY OF THIS OR HOW IT WORK JUST QUOTE THIS AND I WILL REPLY AS SOON AS I CAN

It seems consumer experiences are all over the place. I've seen some pretty bad reviews, but most are positive.

Thanks for sharing, anyway. I'll try e-mailing them to find out what exactly is going on.

In the meanwhile, if someone else has had a personal shopping experience with Nin-Nin-Games, please let me know how it went. My question still stands, for those willing to help:

Hey, guys, can someone answer me a question about the Japanese MGSV: TPP Collector's Edition (Premium Package, or "the one with the full robo-arm")?

Can you stop quoting your same question?  I am here to find info on collector's edition, not read you spam your same question again and again.  If it was known it would be answered by now.  Try using google to do some research.

I'm sorry that bringing attention - if only for a couple of times - to a real issue that many could be facing, regarding a Collector's Edition, on the Official (and 500 pages long) Collector's Edition Compilation Thread, of all places, while engaging in an active discussion with other members of the community, is disrupting your quest for information. And if said information can so easily be obtained through Google, as per your suggestion, then perhaps you should follow your own advice and take your queries to the search engine.

Maybe you're right. Maybe I shouldn't share my personal experiences on a forum dedicated to this very subject, and, with that, help prevent other fellow CAGs from making the same mistakes. Maybe I should avoid talking about one of the most sough-after items that were announced this week, and stop answering questions and providing useful information as much as I can to any interested peers.

Maybe I should just act like you, someone who doesn't add value and still manages to complain about something that is so insignificant, so small, that any minor setbacks it may have caused could have been avoided if you simply kept scrolling for a few more lines, skipping my post entirely and saving you from this embarrassment.

Or maybe you should not repeatedly ask the same question? Just saying, if others are suffering like you are, or have questions, they'll post.

Hopefully, if that is the case, they'll do so without the needless wall of text too . . .

Can you stop quoting your same question? I am here to find info on collector's edition, not read you spam your same question again and again. If it was known it would be answered by now. Try using google to do some research.

Quite easy to remedy, just add him to your Ignore list...

The percentage of CAGs who frequent this thread to contribute (rather then just see what profitable CE's are releasing for reselling purposes) is very small.

Of those the percentage that import from Japanese websites is even smaller.

You're not going to get an answer anytime soon. It sounds like something you should ask customer service of that website.

Can you go into a little more detail on the app? I only see a line@app and the line free calls app
yeah it's the Line Free calls one.. it's so weirdly titled, but I guess there's in app purchases and you can use it to make calls.. I dunno that much about it. The only reason I figured it was OK is because they have a ton of commercials on the radio and the morning radio show I listen to uses them and pimps them all the time. Been using it only for like a week so can't comment much more - but I will say the notifications are LOUD and I don't know how to change that hahaha

YEAH!

Because this thread is almost 5,000 posts long and we hate seeing you ask the same question 2 or maybe even 3 times! Youre using up .04% of this entire thread asking your questions and that is entirely too much! We dont care about things like "well maybe in a very huge and quickly growing thread messages can get missed".

We need that space so we can bitch about other people posting stuff we dont like instead of just skipping over them! And for posting things like "I hope I get one" because hey its really really important random strangers on the the internet know we hope we get something! And of course so we can post the occasional gif. And we dont like other people trying to find out info when were trying to find out info because were more important.

SO fuck OFF YOU SPAMMER! This whole internet is about what we want, and what is want is people off it that dont go a long with what we want on a second by second basis!

(Oh and dude, if you so desperately want to find out about collectors editions then why dont you try using google to research collectors editions instead of being an insufferable asshole?)

This would be awesome, I teach middle school and work respite during the week and work at family video on the weekends so i don't have alot of time to be on CAG. This seems like a great time saver!

best buy will likely post the MGS CE on monday morning around 10-11am EST, thats whats happened now 2 or 3 times for CEs that were announced in the earlier week.  Amazon is any time, probably be up today sometime.

Keep in mind MGS does not have a $10 preorder cert from BBY so you're just getting it for the GCU discount.  Also look in your emails, MGS (and Uncharted and KH3) all had $4x.xx glitches on Walmart that Amazon and Best Buy PM'd, I'm just going to keep that order and not bother with the creepy baby-sized one arm CE.

I know right. Cuz scrolling is so hard. I can't imagine looking at walls of text all day for some magic keywords like "mgs ce is up". The .2 seconds it takes to ignore a reply is just too great! /s
