After the poor (expected) reviews, I'm considering canceling my MP10 + amiibo bundle. Though, most of it has been covered by amazon credit. For $17 in non-amazon money, is it worth it?

It's alright if you play it at least a couple times with friends. The game's atrocious but its that special type and game that pisses people off but won't get them to stop playing

I'm not sure if you are aware but that is standard procedure for UPS Smart Post. UPS is only contractually obligated to deliver the item to your post office. Once that has occurred your post office (USPS) must sort and deliver the item. Depending on the size of your town and how busy your post office is and when UPS does their daily deliveries with them packages can be resorted and delivered same day, next day or two days later. The tracking within UPS is only going to show when it is delivered to the P.O. and will update again when it is delivered by USPS to you and won't be very helpful in the meantime since the item is now in USPS possession.

I would lay of UPS since it's out of their hands now and you're just going to be wasting their time contacting them since as I said they have fulfilled their obligation. If the item never gets delivered then contact them since the package originated with them but as far a delay that is entirely with USPS.

Just to clarify, I never contacted UPS, just the post office. First the main USPS customer service line and then my actual local post office.

*Edit* Just checked, status delivered! Few more hours of work...

He had no definite on WHEN it would go up. I'm not going to type on here "today or tomorrow people", and then have it go up on Friday 'cuz some keyboard jockey dragged their feet.

My type-0 CE came in today and was crushed on the sides and some on the back like my KH 2.5 came in the same way. They did pack it much better and I wonder if the damage only happened when it was delivered because I watched the mail person toss it over my fence from the road without getting out of the car and it landed at least 10 feet from the fence. Sucks it was a substitute mail lady today because I know my usual one and she knows that I order collectibles and always puts them in a garbage bag to lower them behind my fence when I am not home. Wonder if I can get a replacement box if I email customer support.

My type 0 still hasn't shipped. And I still can't find a way to look up my order on their site.

Yeah, my heart really sank when I saw it happen; I don't even know why this substitute post person tossed it when I was in my front yard doing yard work and had just started heading towards them where they could see me if they hadn't been in a rush.

 
Check your local Best Buy within a few days or a week after release...any unclaimed pre-order CEs should make it to the sales floor. I spotted one of the $79.99 editions of The Order at my local store today...maybe a Type-0 CE will make an appearance soon...

From the Square enix store? If you still have the email confirmation you can find the status by doing the following

  1. Go to the email and click on the link in the top right "If you can't see tthis email click here"
  2. Your address bar should have a link that looks like this: https://store.na.square-enix.com/payment/email?transid=##########&token=########################&email=###################
  3. Replace the word email after the /payment/in the link above with download like so: https://store.na.square-enix.com/payment/download?transid=#########&token=#########&email=######### and you should see the status of the shipped item
now part of my order was a digital item, so ymmv on if this method will work if you just had a physical product only.

lol - I won't be sleeping for the next couple of days.

reason I asked was because it looks like best buy ca (Canada) has opened preorders and have sold out for the PS4 C.E.

I just don't get why collector editions have sold out overnight for the past 5yrs - just doesn't make any sense.

Big props to them. The steelbook is in my top 3 favorites and every bit as good as what it showed in the image. I can't imagine playing my games out of anything else atm. Love the manga sleeve btw, the artbook is really well done and loving these cards. All in all very satisfied. Pepista did a great job. Lots of room and cushion in there.

I'd say more so since the past year. 2013 wasn't that bad either. Even the last of us post pandemic edition lasted a good day when it came back in stock on gamestop after release.

Easy. I blame nintendo. Non-gamers have been reselling for years. Not a big deal. But then all of a sudden throw in a few LE Nintendo items (and of course Amiibos) and post stories about how much they're going for on ebay on the front page of yahoo and you have middle aged men and woman with nothing better to do then run around a scalp for the thrill of it.

This is nothing though... disney has a line of LE dolls based on princes/princesses and those literally sell out in seconds when they are released online and they range from $100 - $500 a piece.

It's not in Nintendo or anyone's interest to make a lot of the limited stuff though. Once the desirability goes away people suddenly become rational and realize they don't need it. Case in point is how everyone's clamoring for the claptrap bundle despite the fact that when it came out people said it was a cool robot that's not worth 400

 
My manga was all messed up on the bottom a few scuffs on the back of the art book.  The manga was the item I was excited about most besides the game.  

 
I opened up my Type-0 HD CE and my gosh is it the best CE I've seen in a long time. The steelbook is easily the best one I have (love that Amano artwork :drool:), the artbook and cards are cool, and I'll be sure to read the manga at some point. I'm definitely glad I bit on this one.

 
Everything in my CE is in great condition, box and all :)

Anyone listen to the soundtrack yet? I have it playing while I'm waiting for the XV demo to install. Holy shit it's so good!! Only a couple songs in so far but loving it.

I was too but I couldn't pass up $40 for that. I sold mine this morning before I even had the code but I'll drop it off at the post office in the morning. They're going to get flooded with them driving the price down so I'm glad I sold it when I did.

I 100% agree, Vig. Very solid CE. Even the outer box is sturdy. I got mine in the same box as the hardcover guide and the box was in perfect shape. Amazon did a nice packing job.

As soon as the family is asleep - it is Type-0 time!

The thrill of it? Oh brother. No one scalps to get a thrill, they do it to make money.

Buy low and sell high. That is the basest of business models. It what stores do billions of time a month in this country. So some average guy does it and he is called a scalper as if it were a bad thing because he wants to buy low and sell high.......to OMG!!!!.....make some money!

Besides who cares? If someone sells something at a higher price than msrp its because someone is willing to pay that price. If people werent willing to do that then resellers wouldnt be around. So whats the harm?

People get butt hurt when something is rare and others can profit from it. Then people bitch when something they have isnt rare and worth anything.

At the end of the day why do you care? How does it effect your personal life and effect your personal happiness in life? How does it change your life enough to care? Why does some random strangers ebay sales on the other side of the country matter to you?

You should be thankful though. If you actually get to complain about scalpers then that means you have an awesome life with no real problems at all.

Buy low and sell high. That is the basest of business models. It what stores do billions of time a month in this country. So some average guy does it and he is called a scalper as if it were a bad thing because he wants to buy low and sell high.......to OMG!!!!.....make some money!

Besides who cares? If someone sells something at a higher price than msrp its because someone is willing to pay that price. If people werent willing to do that then resellers wouldnt be around. So whats the harm?

People get butt hurt when something is rare and others can profit from it. Then people bitch when something they have isnt rare and worth anything.

At the end of the day why do you care? How does it effect your personal life and effect your personal happiness in life? How does it change your life enough to care? Why does some random strangers ebay sales on the other side of the country matter to you?

You should be thankful though. If you actually get to complain about scalpers then that means you have an awesome life with no real problems at all.

This wasn't directed at you personally or a direct insult to people who resell... but yes, there absolutely are people who sell things on eBay because they like the thrill of it versus trying to maximize profit. Just like their are people who gamble because they care more about the adrenaline rush then the possibility of making money.

I can guarantee you people run out and buy up items because they like the feeling they get when they complete a transaction and making money (if they do) is a secondary award.

It is why people will severely undercut someone else, even to the the extent where they'd be lucky to make pennies on the transaction, so they can make the sale and move on to the next one (i.e. the next thrill).

I'm sorry you feel butthurt by the use of the word "scalper" or "reseller" because it paints you in a negative light (you sound eerily similar to the idiots who created a PS4/X1 scalping thread who were trying to convince everyone they'd be buying a brand new Audi from there profits).

I have no idea where your rant comes from (other then perhaps a personal feeling of dissatisfaction with yourself?) as I at no time was trying to put anyone down that resells but you sure as hell tried hard to defend the practice when I was again at no time commenting on the morality of it but was just merely replying to someone who asked "why all of a sudden are CE's selling out so much quicker" and I responded in truth by saying "blame nintendo... it has become much more apparent since non-gamers realized their was resale potential in LE handheld and Amiibos.
