I've complained about it, just not here. I put it with the other g1 steelbooks I have. At least it belongs somewhere.

That gets my goat also. Was it the exact same case that was used in the PC version of the CE (if there was such a thing)? That's the only excuse that makes sense to me.

EDIT: The statute does soften the blow though. :)

At least it has a title on the spine. That's the trend that is really irking me (Dragon Age, Order, Witcher, etc).

Yeah, the bf4 metal pak was junk (as most are) -- I've got the "steelbook" version of that but it's g1 :(

Also, the Titafall g2 was German exclusive I believe. The g1 was also Europe I believe, but is way more common.

The one code unlocks everything, I entered it last night. Got all the CE stuff + preorder stuff like ability to play any race w/ any faction.

And I more or less did what others here did. I preordered the set first from GS, then got a preorder in-store at BB. Didn't trust BB tho, so kept my GS order - once I had the BB one I returned the other. One of the employees immediately put it back for herself. :p

Guess they sold out again. How rare is this thing going to be? Kind of dangerous to commit to a game that's not really proven but it does have good talent backing it

I don't think they made a lot of these but if the game is shit like a lot of people are expecting, then its gonna be worthless

 
For anybody who has any hardcover Future Press guides: have you experienced whatever finish is on the cover rubbing off? I pulled my Kingdoms of Amalur guide out of storage today, and noticed it had been rubbed away in spots. Using my finger, I rubbed away pretty much the entire front cover...the mess made looked like an eraser had been run all over the book. Note that it didn't remove the cover image or text...it's just a finish, which when removed actually leaves the cover brighter. Just a little worried about it happened to my other FP guides...Dark Souls is my oldest, and it's perfectly fine...

The Demon's Souls guide that came with the LE set did this as well. Atlus actually replaced them though they asked for the covers to be torn off for proof. No idea that this issue happened more than once.

 
When do CE unboxings usually start showing up before the game is actually released?

I have the Arkham Knight CE pre-ordered at Amazon, but may cancel if an unboxing is posted and the statue looks crappy.  

Do y'all think some kind of unboxing for that CE will be posted somewhere next week while I still have time to potentially cancel the order and just get the game itself?  Monday?  Friday?

 
For anyone who pre-ordered a physical copy of ESO, where the hell is the Explorer's Pack DLC? I got an insert with a code for the Imperial DLC, but not Explorer's pack. Seems like many people are reporting missing this, but maybe this is more common with people who purchased the digital version. Was there supposed to be an insert in the physical releases?

When you enter the Imperial DLC it also downloads the Explorer's pack. I thought the same thing at first, but once I entered it and went to the add-ons being installed, both were being installed! :)

Yeah, or even on any of the literature that I could see, you'd think it would be mentioned (even in small print) on that leaflet, but nope. Still though, some people were hating on the CE, but for the DLC, the (ARGH WHY G1!!!!!) steelbook, the statue, the collectors box, and the gorgeous artbook, I don't think spending $40 > than the MSRP of the game is a bad deal at all.

But other than that the statue is BOSS and with all the commentary in the art book I may actually read through it (plus it smells like leather :drool:).

Hm I wonder if this collectors edition will be like the Persona Golden one but I doubt it seems like another Persona Q where they are many 

 
Same thing happened with Persona 4 Golden. It was up for a long time and was only sold out a month near release date.

Yeah, it also tooks weeks to months of non-buyers remorse before it scaled up in price dramatically. This was a time where most people didn't have a Vita yet. Also the price on a new copy hasn't really gone up in a year or two.

They are clearly producing them using estimates based upon pre-orders.  No companies ever wants CEs sitting around like those Persona Q CEs again.  They are basically made to order at this point.

Another reason why the Persona 4 Gold one sold so quick is that it is a real Persona game, not an off-shoot.

I will still be buying the Dancing CE as soon as my CC bill payment finalizes

Do you need the disc in the ps4 to play? Im debating on the physical CE but I have 2 ps4s in my house and if I have to use the disc then I will just buy the downloaded version.

 
Thanks for posting about Mighty No. 9 - I was hoping Gamestop or Best Buy would get it. I am sick of ordering from Amazon since almost everything I order comes damaged (seriously - I ordered the Werner Herzog blu-ray set twice and it came beaten up both times; once the back cover was literally folded in half).
