In all honesty, who bought this during the BB 50% glitch and is now returning it? This might not go as low as the CoD Ghosts Prestige, but it will be in Titanfall territory.

 
Thank you for posting a link to preorder an Anniversary Edition controller.  I was kind of annoyed that there was only one with the console and I couldn't buy a matching one, so preordered a second.

The only bad thing about the new one is that it doesnt have the face buttons across the touchpad like the controller that came with the console does.

My GS's finally fixed the SKU's for the Destiny Taken King CE's so I plopped down my pre-order on that. Idk if its going to sell out, but I figure its $40 more and I could sell off the game/dlc I already have (assuming the new expansion isnt on the disc).

Yeah. I'm actually having problems with the one that came with my PS4 (buttons are sticking) and they told me they would send me a new one if they couldn't easily fix it, but I'm kind of worried about getting one without the engraving stuff. It's still nice to have the color scheme available though. I bought a white one because I figured it was closest, but it still looks off next to the console.

If it is confirmed that the expansions are all DLC, i will pre-order the CE in a heartbeat.

the kicker seems to be that the limited edition is sold out now, so people willing to put $250 down on a special version of the game now are stuck with the standard version. WB should have worked with stores to keep the $250 preorders and have them refund them down to the standard price and give them the LE for the standard price.

I am actually thrilled. I was skeptical of the quality and I know my love for the franchise would've made me keep it. I've still got that horrible U.S. CE from the last game sitting in my closet - the Batmobile must've been really bad for them to cancel this one when they were fine with the last one.

It is really odd that they just cancelled it when it had to be shipping to retailers this week. That must've been some tight production schedule.

Was it $250? For some reason I had $200 in my mind, but I never bought it so I'm not sure. Either way, if the LE is sold out then I'm not sure if they have those to sell to people at a discounted price. In my opinion the best thing to do would be to offer the base game for free even if it's a download code. Not sure what else they can do other than that.

 
Yeah i just got a text as well from my local gamestop mgr about the cancel. I guess i am going to have to get with bb when it does cancel as the gift card i had used in the past i no longer have.

Wonder what's going to happen on ebay. It's too late for most sellers to get a fee refund on their items since its past 90 days and the item listing disappeared already but also buyers can't even leave negative feedback if the buyer chooses to screw them and take the money. Gonna be interesting seeing if sellers try and net out the ebay fee or just eat 10%

true, but at the same time they could at least promise them the LE stuff down the line and reprint stuff. this is just a giant screw you to the bigger fans of the series. beyond that I would assume the issue is the batmobile... the rest of the stuff in the batmobile version should have been made already, I mean it's a few days from release

Pretty sure the vanilla version sold out before release? Then popped up again around release then sold out for good at MSRP.

Still, I'm too huge of a fan to not buy it on release.

Confirmed rumor about the Batman Batmobile edition being cancelled completely.

My Gamestop that I had my reservation at called me to let me know it has been cancelled and is working to help me get the $100 LE instead.  They said they got an email that ALL RETAILERS are having them cancelled and that it won't even be manufactured at all.  The publisher said something about the quality of the Batmobile not being up to what they wanted it to be.

SUPER late to be cancelling something, but I guess that's better than getting a shitty product.

I'm super stoked to see all the bitching from the Ebay sellers/buyers for the fiasco that is likely to ensue due to all those preorders being sold.

For pulling shenanigans like this, people who pre-ordered should be given an option to kick 'someone' in the nuts. "Sorry we had to cancel, it is all his fault. Please kick him in balls, to your hearts content".

 
Honestly, I'm willing to get they couldn't get the economics to work more than anything else. Poor quality usually doesn't stop LE's from going out.

 
No wonder I couldn't find ANY unboxing videos of the Batmobile edition. I usually look out for the videos to decide whether to cancel or not. I guess I have no choice. I ordered at Best Buy and haven't heard anything from them yet but this rumor looks legitimate.

You have a much longer time to file a claim as a buyer, even longer for a chargeback. Depending on how the listing was set up the buyer could still open a case through eBay even if they're not able to leave negative feedback. Opening up a case still creates a defect and if you have a defect rate of greater then 2% you open yourself up to being purged on the monthly reviews.

While this is a very rare instance (having a CE cancelled just a week prior to release) all the more reason not to be a douche and throw up preorders well in advance of them being released.
