I guess my Gamestop cancellation will mean nothing in the end so at least it's no big loss for me.

For it to be cancelled so late in the game means this was Triforce's fault. They used to be really reliable but their quality has dropped off dramatically. The prototype would have been finished long ago and signed off so something happened at the mass production stage with Triforce. I agree with other poster though, I would comp people by offering the season pass for free instead of the 52 skin pack. A week out is grossly negligent. All preorders were sold out 6 months ago.

It sounds like lots of people learned a valuable lesson when it comes to pre-orders, today.  It's a very anti-consumer, and we only do it because we have to when it comes to limited editions.   Under normal circumstances the practice should not be supported.

How about you just go away. Nobody cares about your philosophy as it relates to what people should do with their money. Amazon pre-orders cost people $0 and they received a $20 credit for literally doing nothing but clicking on something. So, if you didn't preorder, you potentially lost out on $20. Similarly, with most CE/LE games selling out long before release nowadays, there is no harm in preordering, especially with Gamestop.com, Bestbuy.com and Amazon.com not charging you anything if you use a credit card and all of them allowing you to cancel until a couple of days before release.

bestbuy.com puts a "hold" on your account for several days actually.

 
Weird because I see a lot of people on here that are visibly upset.  Pages of them in fact.  So clearly it did cost plenty of people a good amount of grief.  Grief severe enough that $20 is not sufficient to compensate them.

Some people just don't understand what being blocked means.  It means you've made an inordinate amount of stupid posts that I no longer care to read.

I wonder if TriForce is going to end up eating a bunch of loses after failing to deliver. Dropping the ball this close to release suggests they might have really fucked up something badly. If they'd already started mass production, and cranked out a bunch of pieces of the batmobile, then cancelling would have been extremely costly.

If you are foolishly using a debit card I can see this as maybe a problem, but if you use a credit card it basically means nothing.

Is the 20 dollar credit on amazon only good for another version of batman?  I went to go try to get a blu ray and figured I'd use it, and it said it was not good on that purchase.

Isn't that the same DLC that is going to be included with the limited edition? Because the limited edition dlc content is "Three skins from DC Comics New 52 series".

really trying to debate if i should order the LE Batman on Target as they still have them in stock but i don't have much target credit left.  May just take a chance that Amazon or BB will have them randomly pop up again.

 
With the batmobile edition cancelled, i assume the only way to g et the steelbook will be via Amazon.de

Might be rare. Like the bloodbourne steelbook from Amazon.de. Someone sold theirs sealed and graded for $1,200... Mine is opened and have no plans to sell it... But glad i have a rare memorabilia lol

You can still get the steelbook with the limited edition.

 
I hope this means companies will stop messing with TriFroce. They do good work when it's their own uber expensive statues but everything else has been questionable at best lately.

Maybe GamingHeads will get more work? They do some amazing statues of their own and have done pack ins like Wolfenstein Panzerhund and the GOW Ascension CE statue.

 
Well that was fun was on the phone with Best Buy for 45 mins about my pre order.  They had no idea about any of it yet but i wanted to make sure they didn't credit back my old gift card that i misplaced. Luckily i should be getting a new one within a week.

As a person that had this preordered the moment it went live and after all the delays and having it canceled last minute this pisses me off even more
 
It seem like the $20 promo code amazon sent out only applies to the regular Arkham Knight edition and nothing else. It doesn't work with the comic bundle or limited edition.

 
I would be livid if I had preordered the Batmobile CE. I'm shocked they aren't making extra LE's for the people affected by this so they at least get that.

Feels go out to everybody fucked over by this.

 
I emailed amazon about the $20 promo issue and quickly later chatted with another rep on chat because I wanted a quicker resolution. Somehow I ended up with a $20 price adjustment, a $20 gc to use for my next order, and I still have the $20 promo code applied to my account to use on the regular edition of Arkham Knight. 

Shit, I hope amazon doesn't blacklist me.

Well Ill chime in to say 2 things:

1.) I can't believe something got cancelled THIS close to launch. Thats nuts! Did they at least transfer the preorders for people to a regular or limited editions?

2.) I agree with what someone posted earlier. Something tells me some of these WILL get out, and they will be extremely valuable.

 
This is the biggest ass rape I can remember.  So now for those that actually was able to get this pre ordered back in September, not only get the rug pulled out with one week to go, but the other collectors edition, limited, is sold out everywhere too.  Un-fucken-believable!

I pre ordered at Walmart.  Didn't feel like paying for shipping and it will be available for in store 6/23.  If they don't cancel.  I only want the steelbook.  Gonna sell off the statue and maybe the artbook to recoup some of my cash.

I don't know why people are upset that they aren't getting free swag due to this cancelation. I mean what if it was released and it turned out to be a piece of badly made junk ? Everyone would riot !!! Worse case scenario is we get q refund, we get some lame but free dlc and we still get the game. The entitlement is strong with many of you here

Unless (highly unlikely) they are giving me a disc and a digital download....which would be very foolish on their part, but I would gladly take so.

Unless (highly unlikely) they are giving me a disc and a digital download....which would be very foolish on their part, but I would gladly take so.

That's not the LE, that's the LCE. AKA CE.

The LE comes with a disk and the LCE (pictured above) comes with a download token.

Walmart better not cancel them. I preordered in January when they had the mistake and they still have preorders up. I've heard of them canceling special editions like this so I preordered a normal at bb just in case.

Yeah same here. Got it before they even named their SKU -- it was just a no-name SKU for $200 (or $250?) under the Batman Arkham section... this really stinks.

Between Bungie making us rebuy Destiny for the new DLC CE, Halo giving us a download token instead of the actual disc, and this PR failure with Arkham, my "CE collecting hype" has taken a serious hit.

I don't think there's enough people out there raging against these practices to make them stop, but it really is starting to irk me a bit.

Also, if anyone took advantage of the BB glitch for the Halo5 CE and was going to cancel it, please don't, I'll buy it off you! I feel much better paying $125 for a no-disc CE than the $200 (w/GCU) I got it at. (Plus I guess I could buy the disc if they don't make it right with us -- and yes, I realize the irony of that after stating the above).

 
Someone on reddit claims their friend works at GameStop and the email that was sent out to the workers claimed they didn't bother to even make these...that is just insane
 
So i ended up not canceling my PO for the pipboy edition that i was really thinking of forgoing 2 days ago. The reason was unexpected. It was not cause of fallout 4 but coz i suddenly got hook to FALLOUT SHELTER! Hehe! After playing the app for a couple of hours i ended up giving in to some in-app purchases and getting addicted. I now wanted the pipboy to play this game on... Weird, i know but somehow this did it for me. Damn! You guys should definitely get this app too if you have ios.

i actually don't know. I hope so. Since the game is not out for android, i doubt bethesda will announce anything until they get android support. having something carryover to the game would be a huge plus. maybe fallout shelter will intergrate with the app they'll be releasing for the game?

Really enjoying Shelter also. I believe nothing carries over, but I hope I'm wrong. How do you have those big rooms? It will only let me put two together.
