So according to a buddy at d23, the reason that the darth ps4 looks kinda weird is that it's actually etched in, not painted or a decal. Which makes it cool in my book.
 
MGS V console is back in stock again on amazon.fr was in stock earlier today from the posts above then oos, now in stock again.

It will come with a Euro power cable, you just need to get a US one.... Like the one from a ps1, ps2, pretty much most electronics. If you don't have one you can get one on ebay for a dollar or two.. The PS4's internal power supply is rated 100-240 volts. So it will work anywhere in the world!

I'm not in a rush to get it, at the same time I don't know how well Amazon.fr packs systems. I figure if I went with the cheapest it's going to hit a lot more hubs with the possibility of coming damaged so I paid for 2 day. Which brought it around to $410. Still cheaper than a new ps4 with tax.

I was able to get it but I selected the currency converter. does anyone have any experience using it? is it much more expensive that getting charge in euros?

 
Just got the MGS V PS4, yea it was popping in and out. $416 with global priority shipping to TX. Is there anything different at all between the EU PS4 systems and NA PS4 systems? This will replace my current ps4, which is going on craigslist.

It was DVD/Bluray region locking, but a newer update allowed you to change it a few times between different regions before it permalocks. Otherwise, all PS4 games are region free. Only difference (maybe) is in UI (not in games etc) you may have to use "O" instead of "X". Not sure about Euro models, but my Japanese PS3's were set this way, as are their PS4s.

I just paid in USD to avoid the foreign exchange fee that my credit card will charge me later.

I had created a topic for this specific question, but was directed to ask it in here as to possibly get some insight.  Hopefully I can get some answers to my questions.

So I am seriously considering importing that Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4 console from either the UK or Japan to America.  Does anyone know if I will need a converter to actually use the thing since the voltages in both countries are different than in the US?  I would rather figure this out now before dropping close to $600 for what might be a paperweight.

Any info is appreciated!

For the japanese one as well? Amazon.fr is constantly showing it is in stock, then when adding it to your cart, its OOS. NinNinGame has them but they are the Japanese version. Not sure if you can change them to US text etc.

Everything can be changed, except the button in the dashboard/UI. It will be "O" to start a game/app not "x". In game the buttons are the same as they would be.

If you paid in USD you should be fine but expect a fee if you just paid in Euro. I avoided the foreign fee on Amazon.jp before by just paying in USD.
