Where is it supposed to say backordered? Bestbuy has been weird lately showing my gcu expiration as "through invalid date" and have been getting errors trying to view my purchase history.

Konami played us like a damn fiddle though

I'm trying to apply a gift card balance to my Amazon order of the MGS V CE and it won't let me and it hasn't shipped yet. I was waiting for some trade ins to get processed. Is there like a cutoff to where you can apply a gift card balance to the order even though mines hasn't shipped yet because I don't want to pay with my credit card when I can cover the whole order with a giftcard.
 
My order is preparing to ship. Now I just got to hope the send the CE DLC codes to my email.

does it say preparing for shipment? i think once is goes past the "not yet shipped" phase you cant add a gc without contacting support. once its shipped you are out of luck all together. (i would assume, never tried to get gift card balance added to an order that already shipped)

I just applied my gift card balance to my order 2 minutes ago. I assume you clicked on the "Order details" link to check first?

 
My Phantom Pain CE PS4 was just cancelled by BBY. Ordered July 31st.

Got an email at midnight saying payment couldn't be processed via my BBY credit card. Just ran it again, using their link. 5 mins later I get a cancel email.

Ordered back in March, says preparing for shipping. BBY has yet to fail me and I have never had any doubts.

Although Mighty No. 9 might have me slightly skeptical. Hope they come through.
 
So I'm trying to check my preorder status on BB but can't get the site to load at all. Anyone else having issues? Haven't received any emails from BB, so hopefully my order is fine. Placed order 3-19-15.

For $23, I might have jumped on the steelbook, since I saved close to that with GCU . $35, no thanks.

It's $47 now with shipping. fuck this guy with a sandpaper-covered telephone pole.

I totally forgot when I ordered my phantom pain collectors from best buy in March that it had to be shipped and not picked up in store.  Mine says preparing for shipment and my card has been hit for a charge.  I hope it comes Tuesday!

I was able to nabbed one for it for $25 shipped from a different seller, it was a single auction though. Still the overall price is steadily going up across the board for them by the looks of it.

There's another seller on there selling some at a reasonable price 9.99 GBP, but it's been labeled with eBay gobal shipping program so it still comes out to about $33 or $34 total. The only plus is you wouldn't have to worry about customs with it. Not much better but at least the seller himself isn't gouging you, just eBay. In other words business like usual. :lol:

I got the same thing from target. I used PayPal. Target says it was PayPal, PayPal says target. Both say oh well. Never again target, never again PayPal. I bummed but in hindsight, I have no place for collectibles. I just put my jaws shark and 3 figures out and I got the look from the wife lol. Next house I need my own playroom. Ha!

I am getting the console. That's enough for me. Saved me almost $100.

eBay gouging is a known quantity. This guy almost doubling his prices as his inventory runs out, that's his option though I won't support his douchebaggery.
 
I've been gone since yesterday early afternoon and looks like I missed that sweet price on that MGS steelbook.  Seller has 3 copies left that cost too much.

The Best Buy 'backordered' status on your orders is just a system bug.  They've had buggy website orders for the last month or two where lots of orders that are fine are showing 'backordered' status.  This happened with my orders of Mad Max steelbook, Avengers steelbook, some anime blu rays, and the MGS V CEs.  In most cases everyone's orders are fine.

I was wondering the same thing. I have been checking the order every hour but I have notice no change in my order either

 
Mine is preparing for shipment and I pre ordered on the last day it was available. I hope no one got played like a damn fiddle. Bestbuy's site was probably just messing up
 
I forgot how much worry and whine goes into posts the weekend prior to release. It's Saturday afternoon for a Tuesday release and people are already planning on getting fucked.

It's $64 after GCU. The CE's for Starcraft II have so far been pretty easy to come by long after release. They get discounted a bit as well, but who knows how long Best Buy will have them in (Best chance at finding one for less than MSRP of $80)

Unfortunately, I'm not able to submit a pre-order right now becase the BBY site is telling me I can't put in a pre-order for something with a credit card that has an expiration date within 15 days of the release date. I've never seen this before. The listing does not have a date provided, so I'm not sure what that is all about.

I have the same issue. My card expires 11/16 so I think they aren't taking preorders from anyone. It doesn't make sense.

I woke up to the "payment couldn't be processed' e-mail, but I guess I updated it in time (the card expiration date has changed since I ordered it) since they didn't cancel and it moved to "preparing for shipment" shortly after I updated the expiration date. It sounds like if I would've got up a little later I would've been screwed.

 
I'm buying the CE next week from a kind CAG here who had an extra .... But this game store close to me is selling the game already.

I'm so tempted to go pick up a copy. I seriously have a problem.

The XCX CE looks neat, but the lack of a steelbook is a bummer. Of course with NoA, I guess we should just be thankful they did one at all.

I wouldn't have been surprised. If there was a steelbook, I have little doubt it would be a NYC exclusive.

Went ahead and preordered one. Best to secure one now and have time to think about whether or not I want to keep it/wait for BB to list it.

I pre-ordered it on amazon as well. $90 is kind of steep for what it brings. Waiting for BB to put it up for that GCU discount.
