They didn't, although I actually took time to take pictures and was ready to send it to them. Surprised they offered a partial refund just like that.
 
Mine came in very similar to DS2U's. Box had a little ding but otherwise in great condition. Havent opened it yet. WIll wait til morning like xmas.

It was the same for my Destiny Dinklebot Edition. I felt robbed that I went through the trouble of taking pictures. :)

 
Got my MGSV PS4 Console today, arrived in great shape. Everything seems to be working great too, but the disc drive doesn't seem as ummmm easy as my original PS4. Seems like it's a bit harder, I don't know how to describe it. Like it takes the disc just fine, but the button/sensor that allows the ps4 to detect it's accepting a disc?? Anyone elses like this?

The touch sensitive buttons were redesigned to be just buttons now on the console, if that is what you are referring to.

My console arrived in near perfect shape as well. There is some minor corner rounding on the box etc, normal shit that happens during shipping, but no rips or tears and there was padding in the box. However, customs did open the Amazon box to see what was inside by cutting down one of the corner sides, and not resealing it. So it shipped with a gap that let you see what was inside. I am lucky I didn't get jacked in transit.

Also, in case anyone cares, this UK seller has more Steelbooks available for sale at a reasonable price:

I meant the bluray drive. It takes discs just fine, but it feels like it needs more pressure to a disc put in than my OG PS4 or X1.

1) The shipping rate is much more expensive; there is no "cheap" method

2) They charge 60+ euro's for VAT even though they shouldn't. I tried chatting with them a few weeks ago and was told they had to charge it. I was only willing to place an order if they removed it BEFORE I was charged. I didn't want to go through the hassle of retroactively trying to get it credited.

 
Based on shipments I've received from other European vendors, I think they use less sturdy cardboard' maybe it's recycled or just a single ply. I mean these weren't in transit more then 4 business days. I have shipments going UPS/FedEx ground that take significantly longer and arrive in much better shape.

I think this will go the same way as that Mario Party 10 bundle and be overproduced. I'll just wait until it pops up at Best Buy.

It has not looked that way so far. It will really depend on whether the game is well-accepted or not. I think a lot of people really didn't like MP10, so a lot of the bundles sat around. Even if they overproduce the Yoshi bundle, if the game is a hit here, then it will still sell out.

From the international community, Woolly World reviews seem to be mixed or positive, but it is still a wait and see approach for the US audience.

With NOA, it is hard to say. In general, Wii U print runs have been tiny or non-existant for some games: Pikmin 3, Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper, TANK TANK TANK, Mario 8 LE (300) and Hyrule Warriors LE (250). Of course, there are others.

I think the MP10 bundle has been the exception rather than the rule. Plus, the system is on its last legs, so who knows if they are going to make a huge print run of a bundle this late in the game.

I got mine pre-ordered at Toys R Us for $59.99 + $0 shipping, no need to promo anything. Although, it is sold out there so I guess it's good news that people can at least get an order in with Newegg, despite the fact their fucking assholes.

This kind of crap is exactly why I avoid Newegg like the plague. They've gone to new heights when it comes to shitting where they eat.

Some of those are a bit unfair to use because they are either obscure games or were only sold at the NYC store. I can see your point with Pikmin 3 but I don't think it sold out at launch and never reappeared.

I don't think the poor reviews for Mario Party 10 deterred anyone who was going to buy it on launch. You were either going to buy it regardless or you are caught up in the current amiibo hype and had to get the Mario amiibo.

I also really disagree with the Wii U being on its last legs. We havent even heard anything about the NX yet, and Zelda U doesn't have a release date. I don't expect to see the NX until 2017.

No worries dude, I didn't take it as hostility toward me - I also have it pre-ordered at TRU for $59.99. But if I recall correctly that went OOS fairly quickly after it went live, so I'm sure quite a few people missed out on it.
