Or, you know, I didn't even look at it as a Gamestop exclusive because I wasn't paying that close of attention. I assumed that a game as popular as Destiny wouldn't just sell their CE through a single retailer. I was wrong.

Agreed. In this case, it is GS exclusive shit. Pay close attention, because it is not the same as BBY shit.

ps: at this point, I am simply making fun of stuff and not being callous; but you do realize that at first glance people with assume that you are being a dick and making them work for your shit, right?

My post was based off someone saying they don't want to pay that much for a physical edition of the game to Gamestop, while still wanting a physical edition. Since I only want the physical CE items and could give a damn about the rest, the option I'm proposing would work pretty well. In addition, despite reselling being not allowed here, many still do it here. Including people who like to piece it out. So, you may see it as "being a dick", but it's an option for many here.

Don't worry about it. I think what you asked was fine if someone was looking for that. Cheaper to spilt the ce in half than buy the game for full price.

If I had one ordered I would consider it. But I don't and that's me. Lol.

On Amazon it's $44 bucks for the PS3 version. I missed out on this and really want the statue. Any reviews? Worth it or no?

I liked mine well enough. Sat the statue next to the TV while I ran around pirating shit. Also, soundtrack is nice.

I got the PS4 one back during the Amazon Warehouse glitchfest. Its a pretty nice statue, but nothing mind blowing.

 
How is the quality of the arm in the MGSV collectors edition? I'm thinking about picking up the CE and selling the game (I have the game digitally on my ps4) because the arm looks neat. Is it actually a decent collectors piece, or mostly junk?

You will get varying opinions on this, I thought the only negative with the US CE is that it was too small for my taste. But still thought it was well made and you can still be creative with it comparing to some statue.

I like it and it has a lot of small details. The materiel is a very light plastic and does make it feel cheap. The fingers on my arm actually stay in place and I can do a lot of pose with it. I am fine with the size of it since I knew it was going to be small in the first place. It was dubbed as the baby arm for a reason. I was surprised that a lot of people were shock about the size of the arm considering there were a lot of pictures of it side by side with the full scale arm for almost a year.

Yea, it does have some small detail work. Not really into statues myself, so I just sold the arm on eBay at release. Mainly wanted the Steelbook. Paid $85 with GCU at BB, sold the arm for $70 and the dlc for $30, so I basically got the game and Steelbook for free.

Dud anyone get Mario Maker today? How's the included book? Mine won't arrive until Monday apparently.

It's really nice for something that is for free. The quality is on the same level as other CE or LE that includes artbooks in the range of $70-$80, it is not hardcover though.

its all right, if you buy the ce for $80-100 you can sell the CE digital code for $30-40 on ebay, trade the game in for $30-40 to bby/gamestop/amazon (or sell it), and basically get the arm for $20-40. which is about what its worth. it feels cheap and is not very big but at least it articulates decently, can hold a ps4 controller or clap another statue's ass.

Just go to their contact us section, pick your order with it in it, and tell it to email them.  I had to, and ask for the codes that were suppose to be in the package.  They sent me my code in about 2 hours.

 
I need some advice. I have the MGSV PS4. As others had mentioned the outside shopping box was destroyed. The inside box has wrinkles on the corners from getting banged around. Not major, but not the pristine box I had hoped for. Especially with the nice artwork.

So I emailed Amazon. They offered to send out a replacement free of charge or a 40 EUR discount. About 45 usd roughly.

You guys think I should go with the credit? Or get a new one and hope it comes better. Always could be worse.

I am leaning towards the credit but the only thing holding me back is the collectible side of it. Some thoughts would be cool. Thanks.
 
If you're not opening it, I'd get the replacement. They might make you ship back the original unit though. They did when they shipped The Hobbit trilogy steelbooks to me without an outer box (they slapped a label on the shrinkwrapped steelbooks).

If you are eventually going to open it, take the credit.

This is not a console worth keeping sealed... at all.

It really is not that limited.

20th anniversary ps4 is one you keep sealed. Not this one imo. Mine is opened, and it is a beautiful console. Looks so much better than it does in the pictures and videos, it really is something else in person. The controller is dope as fuck too.

So, its not "reselling" as much as "repurchasing" but just wondering if anyone happens to have an extra sealed or near-mint copy of the Premium CE for The Order that you got for a steal back during that horrific sale Amazon did? I'm looking to pick up one of these now, but the CAG in me doesn't want to pay reseller prices, so hoping someone here would let it go for just a mark-up on their cost? PM and let me know please.

Also, Halo Monopoly "CE" is available at GS as well (saw one at the store the other day).

Wonder if this is the closest we'll get to a Battlefront CE.

Has anyone heard anything about the Fallout Lootcrate? Also in the last crate they were announcing a Mass Effect crate, looks like this is going to be a thing. Bet they announce more going forward for other games and franchises.

Wonder if this is the closest we'll get to a Battlefront CE.

Has anyone heard anything about the Fallout Lootcrate? Also in the last crate they were announcing a Mass Effect crate, looks like this is going to be a thing. Bet they announce more going forward for other games and franchises.

i got an email from the lootcrate about 2 weeks ago that more details regarding the fallout crate were coming soon but no ETA as to when.

Price is $129.98 -- not bad considering the fridge is bigger than the old ThinkGeek ones and much cheaper price-wise iirc.

Funny thing, I don't see this mentioned in any articles or anything. Seems like Walmart just decided to bundle the game with a standalone Star Wars mini fridge hoping to generate more sales.
