If you read the post you would see he said that he ordered it today, and is going to take a week and a half to get to him.

Then the other guy said that he should have used someones account that had elite plus because it would be delivered friday the 2nd instead of a week and a half from now.

If anyone is interested on upgrading the HDD on the MGSV PS4, newegg has the 1tb seagate sshd for $70. Comes with assisins creed rouge PC code.

Cheapest I've seen for this awesome drive. You might be able to flip the code for 10-15.

I found it. But do you actually use this drive? Do you notice significant speed improvement?

I read that a lot of times in the PS4 7200rpm drives end up being faster than hybrids and SSDs

I have this drive in my other ps4. The speed gain is there slightly. If you look for it you will find it. I notice repetitive task tend to move along quicker. Nothing earth shattering at all.

I don't think you'll notice anything unless you go to a SSD. This drive is proven rock solid in the ps4. I'm just not sold on the 9.5" 2tb platform. But that's me.

The 1tb 7200 drive is nice but this is a pretty good price. All things be the same, I'll go by price.

That's 30 bucks and whatever I can get fit the game. So say 15. That's like half the price.

I just don't need 2tb. I know more space is always nice but I'm happy.
 
Opened up my Fallout Anthology last night.  I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but my copy shipped in one of the original publisher cartons (i.e. the double-sized box with the orange "Do No Sell Before xx/xx/xxxx" stickers).  The cartons themselves house two units each and are individually numbered to 50,000.  So it looks like the print run on the Fallout Anthology nuke bundle is 100,000.

I would think that's probably a big enough print run to make this be a clearance item in a little while, given its size.  100,000 would be a pretty large print run for a console LE and it seems like there are fewer physical PC collectors out there.

Hmmm not sure, Fallout has a big following though, I think New Vegas sold something like 5 million copies shortly after launch. Let's say only 500k or 10% of those are die hard fans who's in the market for any unique Fallout items like the mini nuke. Then 100,000 don't seem like it's that much. Remember Bethesda stated they produced more Pip-boys than any previous Fallout CE, and yet it sold out so quick. I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda actually made 100k Pipboys for each platform (300k total) except the demand was just too damn high.

Was that 5 million number for New Vegas for PC though? That has to be a cross-platform, cross-distribution number (i.e., console + PC, physical + DD). I'd venture to guess the vast vast majority of that number is Console + Steam. The fact that the Anthology is still readily available at (a very reasonable) MSRP after months of pre-order access and launch while the Pip-Boy sold out in minutes most places seem to indicate that that's not a good comp.

I think the Pip-Boy demand was largely driven by re-sellers in the console market, which then spilled over and heightened demand for the Pip-Boy PC version. I can't recall the last time a PC-focused physical collector/limited edition really retained much value (or was difficult to come by).

All of that said, this thing is awesome and well well well worth the $50 MSRP (and even moreso the $40 with GCU). Great price point for this thing right off the bat.

Yea the 5 million was across all platforms, but since the mini nuke is PC only version, I've seen many fallout fans who are not PC gamers buying this just for the mini nuke. I'm just saying, despite the 100,000 print run, don't be surprised if they get all bought up before it's time for this thing to hit clearance.

i agree not sure its gonna hit clearance while they may not be "flying off shelves" atm when we get closer to fallout 4 in a few weeks and the excitement rebuilds im sure these are gonna go quickly the nuke is a great collectors item at 50 bux even without a pc.

 
I agree that this was a fantastically priced and nice-looking CE.  Would own one just for the Nuke, but then I'd have to start collecting Fallout stuff and I just can't bring myself to do it :p

 
Anyone know if Hyrule Warriors will have a limited edition game for the 3DS release?

Pretty sure the NYC limited edition of Hyrule Warriors with scarf is still one of the most expensive limited edition games out there somewhere around $2000 along with Uncharted 2 around $10k, but thats only because of how truly limited they both are.

I never understood why New Vegas has a lower Metacritic score than Fallout 3. Both games were equally buggy and ugly-looking upon release, but New Vegas has a much more interesting world with more quests, a much larger number of things to do, and actually had branching story paths and endings unlike Fallout 3.

Skyrim got an insanely high score considering how buggy and ugly looking it was at launch (not to mention how bland the game itself ended up being), so I wonder if being developed by Bethesda had anything to do with Fallout 3 getting the higher score.

Games that feel original tend to get better scores.  Series reboots also have favorable conditions if it has been a few years.  Games that are derivatives, retreads, or sequels of very recent titles tend to get lower scores.  Sometimes the hangovers last awhile until people become thirsty for that kind of game again.  That's just the nature of the beast. 

I personally don't understand how Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty are exceptions to the rule.  Lots of people love those games and never get sick of them I guess.

Games that feel original tend to get better scores. Series reboots also have favorable conditions if it has been a few years. Games that are derivatives, retreads, or sequels of very recent titles tend to get lower scores. Sometimes the hangovers last awhile until people become thirsty for that kind of game again. Can't speak for CoD but with AC although many of the games feel the same I still love them because I love the different settings they choose, I enjoy the stories they tell, and I love the historical aspects of each title as well.

Pretty sure the NYC limited edition of Hyrule Warriors with scarf is still one of the most expensive limited edition games out there somewhere around $2000 along with Uncharted 2 around $10k, but thats only because of how truly limited they both are.

There's one in Japan that I posted about several pages back, just like there was for the original HW. No clue yet if the US will do another one. If so, it'll probably be another NWS exclusive and everything in me hopes it won't be because I had a miserable time last time getting there and waiting in line. Lucky I was able to get one, but still, don't want to have to do that again.
