It is. Plus it wouldn't have the demand JRPG CE that were online exclusive (Square Enix, NIS, etc.) would have so very likely no one bought one to flip.

Best Buy is really dropping the ball on their shipping as of late.  Halo Limited Edition was mailed in a plastic bubble mailer, and the inside of the Metal Case had a broken clip on the inside.  

My TOZ shipped in a box that was the correct size for it, but no Air Pack inside and I have a dented corner.  I was able to smooth it out, but a slight crease is still there.

Guess it's in store pick up for me from now on...I fear for my Pip Boys...

For in store pick up, get ready to deal with an obnoxiously large sticker slapped on the worst part of the box. I always have to use a hair dryer to heat it up so it comes off smoothly.

I don't know what this complaint is about. I get those stickers on everything I pick up in store too, and I've never once had a problem removing them without damaging the box. They come offer super easy as long as you are not ripping them off like a band-aid. Actually, I've never tried ripping one off like a band-aid, they might still come off just fine that way.

Just get a corner up and peel it away as a 180 degree angle from where you lifted it. They're made out of vinyl or something so they almost never tear and they leave no sticker residue behind at all. You can actually restick them to other stuff if you want since it's almost like they never got stuck to something once you get them off.

Oh lovely. I'll find out today when mine shows up from UPS, though I hope I luck out and have a box instead of a bubble mailer. My ToZ was shipped the same way (glad to hear yours finally shipped + arrived), though I haven't checked to see if I had any dented corners.

I guess I'm just paranoid and use a hairdryer to be 100% safe. I just think it's annoying to deal with. For my Halo LCE though, they put a post it note. I hope they keep doing that in the future.

Best Buy needs to stop doing this bullshit. The only games I have shipped are big Collector's Editions, and the rest I pick up in store. Back in the day, Best Buy used to ship games in these cardboard mailers that were snug and protected them from damage during shipping. Now they slack and ship these things in fucking plastic bags with little to no protection.

The only issue I had was with my Fallout Anthology that looked like Pele played soccer with it. That wasn't the shipper's fault though.

My Gwent Deck set from Jinx supposedly is being shipped out, as the order has a USPS DC # on it, though I've not received a shipping email from them yet.  DC # doesn't work yet, which makes sense if they just created it today for the shipment.

The last few things they've sent out to me that were game/movie-sized have been in the cardboard mailers, so I'm hoping that since the LE is bigger than a regular mailer, it ended up in a box. If not, then it's in-store order time and take the LE back if it shows up damaged.

 
With all the rightful bitching about bad packaging, I thought I would post exhibit A from Gamestop. This is for a "brand new" Titanfall I purchased as a present for a relative because he thought the statue I have is cool:

As you can see, it is expertly wrapped in brown paper by a Gamestop employee. This is about half the thickness of what you give to your kids for school lunches. Maybe, cardboard takes longer to decompose in landfills, so Gamestop must be environmentally conscience. Unfortunately, I recycle all of my cardboard boxes, so this was a waste of good effort on their part.

Also, UPS did a wonderful job of leaving the package outside of the covered front porch to ensure rain water would seep into the gaping hole. It was quite a feat because it was left approximately 18 to 20 inches outside of the porch. Apparently, those extra inches may take an additional two seconds that the driver could not be expected to expend on this professionally packed product.

Just curious, but did any CAGs actually keep their LCE for Halo5 and do the code swap for the disc AND receive their disc already? I was assured that we'd get the disc PRIOR to launch day so we could do all the necessary installations and be ready to go at Midnight like others, but, low and behold, another gaff by MS... no disc yet.

Well, Microsoft, the manufacturer and the distributors for the LCE have done an unbelievable job of fucking up this release on each and every stage, so your assumption that all will be corrected and gift-wrapped for you in an efficient and timely manner is probably ill-placed in this case. :wall:

 
CAG Twitter stated that Animal Crossing Amiibo bundle was live on BestBuy.com, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Mistake, or does CAG know something we don't?

The only other one that might be as bad would be the Dragon Quest Heroes CE, but the $40 price difference vs. the $190 price difference makes Halo the "biggest loser" right now in my book.

GS bundles a code with it, but the code is on the receipt. They charge you $10 for the code and $19.99 for the Gwent decks and then give you a $10 discount to make it all $19.99.

I went and bought the Halo 5 Console.  Tried to use a Mover's Coupon, and it didn't work.  Come to find out it doesn't work (or is not supposed to work) on consoles.  Called Best Buy and they gave me a $50 gift card to make up for it.

No complaints there plus I still have a valid coupon to use lol

Yea I did.

I sold my regular black PS4 for $340 shipped, so that basically paid for most of the MGSV one.

I didn't. It basically says 10% off on home theatre and 5% off anything else in the store. When they scanned the coupon, it failed to work. They didn't know why but wouldn't honor it, not even the 5%. So, as this has happened to me once before and I never got a valid reason why it didn't work, I called Best Buy and asked them what's up and why this coupon I received doesn't work. They then looked back at the last time I bought a ONE and had the same issue, and then issued me a $50 gift card (10% of the total cost) back as compensation for the coupon not working.

What Best Buy doesn't tell you is that coupon has a laundry list of exclusions. Two days later I went in and bought a 60in 4K TV with my wife. The coupon didn't work on that either because it was a "high-end" model. I wasn't gonna argue because they explained and showed me why it didn't work. The TV was on sale regardless, so I was happy.

I called and asked. I literally asked why the coupon didn't work. They offered me a $50 gift card. Also, I used one on a PS4 I bought in June, and it did work. I didn't need to call in and ask anything. They scanned the coupon in store, and it knocked 10% off my PS4.

Aren't you that dude who always quotes and bitches on people's posts when it comes to promotions or refunds? I remember you getting on one guys case for calling Amazon about his MGSV console coming poorly packed and smashed from Amazon France, and they offered him a partial refund. You then proceeded to tell him how horrible that was to do and he shouldn't have done it. Not sure why you care so much.

I had it listed on here for a while, but no takers. Just a few negative posts saying I am overpriced, blah blah etc. So I resorted to eBay. Some kid bought it RIGHT before Sony dropped the price a couple weeks ago. I am sure he was pissed lol.
