I'm in the same boat. The Amazon US versions were just recently announced. The U.K. ones were announced and available for order months ago. By the time the US ones were posted, my UK preordered copy had already started shipping. I'm kind of ticked about it actually for the reason you mentioned.

Just a side story.

I tried to price match mine last night in store at Best Buy and they told me they couldn't do it since it had exceeded the 15 day policy.  That was a false statement.  Whenever your status goes up (Elite/Elite Plus) so does the return and price match window (30/45 days respectively).  I ended up calling customer service to see if this was true, and they said that the item should have been price matched in store and being that I am Elite Plus, I have a 45 day window to return, exchange, and price match.  They processed the request and today I get a receipt with a $32 dollar refund.  All I wanted was the $10 difference and they refunded me $32 and change.  No idea why, but I won't complain.  Receipt below for proof.

So if any associate tries to feed you the same bullshit that I got fed, tell them nope and get your price match done.

$69.99 is $30 less than the $99.99 price. They probably didn't look at GCU, just the base price+tax difference.

well yes and no. yes you within your return period to return and also to price match but after the initial purchase best buy policy is to only adjust price if best buy itself lower the price not a competitor. Competitor prices can only be price matched at the initial Purchase state not post purchase.

IT changed to that way over a year ago now. it used to be can adjusted if a competitor lowered there price for the longest but it been a while now they stopped that.

I've done it many times with no issues unlike last night. Even if they got upset, just say you want to return and rebuy with the price match as long as it falls within the 15/30/45 day window.

That's probably why they just do the price match rather than the entire return/rebuy process. That in itself is a loophole that anyone can get around.

Just placed an order for the Odin Sphere Storybook Edition on Amazon, it's live. Keep refreshing the page until "available from these sellers" shows up and click on that to be able to add it to your cart.

I've been interested in this remake for a while, I should have a reasonable amount of time to preorder correct? Will Best Buy have it for GCU purposes?

I think the point people are making is that Best Buy's policy doesn't require them to do what you are complaining they gave you a hassle about doing. I agree that most of the time Best Buy does it anyway, but unless you haven't opened the item, they have no obligation to let you return it and rebuy it with the price match.

Very true. In all the times I have price matched an item, and even when I asked the first time, they told me the policy I mentioned before. TBH, I never knew or read that fine print that was posted before. It makes sense though.

I've been a huge fan of Vanillaware's work for quite some time. Odin Sphere is going to look REALLY good on the PS4. Looking forward to playing it in high definition.

Cancelled my Just Cause 3 CE from BB, just don't need anymore clutter even if the game gets high praise

Xenoblade C X CE finally all sold out at BB.  GS is the only retailer left.

I'll be happy if the game doesn't run at 2 fps. Honestly, I'll take lower graphical fidelity if it means we get 1080p60. Or even upscaled 720 at 60 fps. Game would look gorgeous running smoothly.

I've seen this posted multiple times... how did anyone miss XCX at BBY? It was up for two months.

I mean, I'm upset when I miss something too but that usually happens b/c it was something that sold out within a day. But it was in stock... for 2 months.
