My NNK was delayed until Tuesday as fed ex delayed delivery twice. If it comes damaged I’ll be extra mad. I don’t need it to be in perfect condition but it should at least come in a cardboard box. We’re anyones Best Buy orders fed ex?

As I feared given how flimsy the outer box looked for that Ni No Kuni 2 CE, I think finding a "perfect" one will be tough.  The one I got from Best Buy was actually pretty close.  I thought I was pretty lucky until I noticed a scratch across the front artwork.  Most probably wouldn't have noticed or thought it was a big deal, but it's an annoyance for me.  I could tell a box cutter may have hit the top, but it wasn't very noticeable, either.  No crushed corners, though, which seems like a miracle.

But, looking at the ones without stock photos on Ebay, I have yet to see one that I'd consider "perfect" and maybe one that was close to perfect.  There are some that look awful (one looks absolutely destroyed and that person said they bought it in-store).

Every single person in the chain would need to handle these things as if they were fragile in order for them to arrive to the customer in pristine condition.  I don't think most even recognize there are people out there who actually care.

The King's Edition does look more durable... it will be interesting to see how those arrive to the U.S.  Part of me was almost going to get it just because I figured it would arrive in better shape (even though I ultimately preferred the U.S. version), but given how picky I am I would have a problem if it arrived with any damage.  I did pick up another U.S. version locally that is probably about as good as I can get.

 
The NNK2 CEs came 2 per box. Splitting them up at distribution centers was always going to cause problems.

Well shit.. thanks for the heads up. I'm really torn on keeping this. I've never gotten a CE numbered this low but it's much more dinged up than I'd like.

Waiting to see what shape the UK CE comes in... no clue who Aramex is and I know customs is gonna open it. Seems like they've been opening everything I've ordered from Europe (but no Asia).

My order came UPS, but it was in a box with packing material, though not done very well.

 
Picked up my Ni No Kuni 2 ce in store at my local gamestop. Only 2 came...got mine in perfect condition so im really happy that store pickup was an option for this ce! Will be doing the same as much as possible in the future. =)

I guess if there were only two they were sent in their original distributor packing to the store and then they pulled one out. IIRC GS shipping tebds to be the most well packed.

One of the figures on my Ni No Kuni diorama was broken, so I just superglue'd it back in lol. Either way its a pretty nice CE, can't complain since I didn't pay MSRP anyway thanks to Gamestop. I really like the Art Book

Make sure its the real one and not a bootleg, since there's lots of fake Play Arts figures on the market. Best way to check is if they are shipped from China, the bad feedback, and if the price is abnormally low.

I got there too late and missed Ocelot and Batgirl, so I didn't really want anything else. When I checked the shipping it was a whooping $12 for one figure, $18 for two.

Mine came in from Best Buy yesterday in OK condition, but one of the corners was damaged. Top right corner for me when looking at it facing the front. Seems to be pretty common to have one corner damaged looking at other people's experiences and a few videos and pics. Not going to return it or anything, but pretty damn annoying for the price we are paying for these things.

I questioned that too but it's from the States and their store has plenty of positive feedback with quite a few sold so I feel safe in my purchase. That said I'm sure their source could be fakes so I'll do my due diligence in determining when it arrives. I don't dabble in Play Arts at all so what are the obvious signs I've been had? Just authentic SE logos and if it has the foil sticker or not?

Sadly I've thrown out most of my boxes so I don't really know. It might be best to look up the bootleg and real comparison images, then compare it to your own. That's what I do for my other statues, figmas, etc. Looking at the boxes I have left (both of which I imported), I don't see any foil stickers or any external product labels. I do see the name of the figure on the box is silver plated on both, and the tape they use on the top and bottom of the box is a clear circular one. Those I think are hard to replicate, so I guess keep a look out for that.

I heard about the SE sale too late and all the figs I wanted were already sold out/waitlisted.

That's exactly what I did a few hours ago, looked up the legit packaging and watched a few youtube videos on spotting a fake. Turns out the boxing can be incredibly spot on but it's the innards that give it away before opening. One dead giveaway is if the figure isn't covered with the plastic insert that hugs all the pieces to avoid shipping damage and might just have a piece of plastic sheet, kinda like a fruit rollup wrapper, covering the figure. The other is on the inside, where they will put a piece of tape to hold the two plastic shells together whereas Play Arts does not do this. Other than that, the detailing on the figure will obviously be noticeably different and less detailed with a fake so I should be able to tell before even opening it up.

 
Fed ex deliveries are always delayed but at least my package came in good shape. Slight creases at the top of one side but great condiotion otherwise. Other than the lame diorama it's a great ce though if it wasn't numbered i'd probably wait until it was 100 bucks.

Even with Square Enix's insane $15.99 shipping, it still came out to $53.xx total!

I'm curious, how did you find out about this sale? I'd love to regularly check a cheapassgamer-style website for action figures and collectibles, but I don't know that one exists...

the CAG twitter posted it a few nights ago, also wario64 twitter posted it as well, I keep their notifications on so they pop up on my phone lock screen. there was around 20~ items that were $30-$75. I snagged steampunk batman, joker/twoface/freeze batman, and then the 4 tetsuya nomura figures which were catwoman/joker/harley/batman

 
final fantasy xii CE is also on sale for 119.99 again on the squeenix store. A better price point, though still really expensive...

As promised, I received D-dog today for $40 shipped and it was legit. Circular stickers, all box art is accurate and the plastic shelling was indeed the authentic. Figure looks amazingly detailed so can't recommend the seller enough. Not sure what else they may have but D-dog was easily $3-5 cheaper than if I had bought from the sale at SE.
