The spider-man PS4 is slick, but still can't convince myself.

Sony still needs to step it up to xbox level for me.

R2D2 360 and Gears One S are the coolest systems I've seen.  I kinda regret never getting the Gears of War One S, but I blew that money on my scorpio.   I need a super deal on one to collect, like I got on my R2D2 360.  Still loving that one's sounds.

I broke down and preordered because it comes with a physical copy of game and can replace my Pro which seems to run the fan really, really loud for many games and I'm concerned it's defective in some way. Subtracting the value of the game and Pro trade in value it's about a 100 dollar trade in cost. Would love Pro owners to chime in on whether their Pro is loud or not because I don't really have a huge desire for the system outside the value of getting a game I'd buy anyway.

 
My pro isnt loud and ive ran Fallout 4 on it and the COD Beta this weekend which was heavy on the OS but I didnt hear the fan in it.  I traded in my original PS4 for the Destiny Pro bundle last year and I haven't had any issues with it.

I have a launch Pro and it is only really loud for certain games, God of War is one that immediately comes to mind. I've never had any issues with the system other than that though. I also have my OG launch PS4 still and am going to be selling that towards the Spider-Man Pro system myself. I have two 4K TVs and the one in my living room just has a Switch dock hooked up now so I am going to replace my Game Room PS4 Pro with the Spidey one (wife doesn't think Spider-Man red will look good in the living room). After selling my PS4 and factoring out the cost of the game which I was going to buy anyway, it'll be little over $100 (this isn't factoring in the $50 I already put down).

I used this logic and got a Pro when Destiny 2 came out.

I exchanged it within a week because if I tried to start a game soon after turning it on it would straight up crash, and have to rebuild it's database and scan my external HDD for errors.

My current pro does run hotter than my original PS4 launch console, but I hear that's typical.

Even now I turn the Pro on, and wait a few minutes before starting something. I assume it does a deep dive through the external HDD to verify content before it will really 'want' to do anything.

I recently had to get rid of my launch pro because it started to not turn on.( would start up and immediately shut down) It got extremely loud while playing god of war, one of the last games I was able to play on it. I ended up getting one of the gamestop exclusive white pros, the difference is night and day between the two. Its practically dead silent, I have to place my ears on the side vents to even hear the fans.

Hoping the Spider-Man Pro turns out like that then.

My launch Pro like I mentioned earlier is only loud when playing certain games like God of War.

 
anyone ever ordered a controller from controllerchaos.com ?  They have a slick DVa Elite, but no idea on the quality of the paint and such.

Curious if it feels like an out of the box controller.

Pretty much the same Special Edition that Smash Wii U had. I imagine this will come out in North America too, I have the controller and Gamecube Adapter, but feel like I am going to want another one for 8 players, which I won't be buying that many GC controllers for once I run out my friends will have to supply their own.

I'll have a harder time with the BYOC. One of my good friends cans beers for local breweries and always brings an assortment of beer to any gathering. I'll have enough controllers to get everyone playing though, some poor souls will have to use single JoyCons.

Bad timing with the spiderman one coming out. 50k is also to many for a special release. I think the 20th anniversary was 12k. Still have mine sealed. If I hadn't just replaced mine, I would have thought about it.

The 20th Anniversary PS4 had a 12.3k run and seems to fetch a high price online.

I actually like this one better, but I am getting the Spider-Man Pro already and I am not willing to pay an additional $100 for this one. Would love to be able to buy that controller separately though.

Oh snap, so we'll get the PS4 version of P4DAN after all. Looks like this is the version to get (even more so for me if P4DAN gets a separate trophy list), but I've never liked the artbook packaging that Square-Enix (and now Atlus) seem to enjoy.

EDIT: According to this article, this bundle will be $99.99?!?! I was hoping for $80 or lower. That (plus $60 for each game separately) seems crazy-high if both games only have 25 songs each.

Might be a good thing you got the Target deal. I think this LE system will sell out very quickly. There are going to be lots of disappointed people.

There making 50k of them, that's probably more then the spiderman edition being produced. This is not going to be a repeat of the 20th anniversary PS1 edition. It will sell out but not instantly.

Understood. But I have been reading about people being more hyped about this one than the Spiderman one. Let's hope you are right because I do want to order one.

 
Resellers are definitely going to jump on this the more I think about it. It will hold its value. The packaging alone is special, like the ps1 edition. I wonder if the included controller will be different then the the one there selling individually. I have a few hundred in credit at bestbuy if I decide to pick 1 up, assuming I can grab one there.
 
I currently have 1 of the gamecube official controllers  and adapter that worked on the wii u smash. Will that work on the new smash for the switch or will I need to get a new controller and adapter?

Pretty sure it will work. I have 4 original Gamecube controllers (along with 2 Wavebirds) and the controller adapter for Wii U.

I was gonna say the WWE2k CEs always go on clearance eventually but just realized how much that Hollywood Hogan Funko Pop from 2k15 (I believe) goes for on Ebay now. Few years ago you can't give that thing away. With the rise in popularity of Funko Pops, this one might actually avoid the clearance bin.

I am debating should I cancel shadow of the tomb raider croft edition or downgrade to normal. I want the game but with spider-man and Xenoblade expension coming out
