Couple people on Wario's feed claimed to have gotten their order through with confirmation email, this apparently went up last night....but I agree, NFM seems like an oddball to show up selling 500M

Best Buy just contacted me saying that they wont have my copy of Kiwami 2 Steelbook in store (meaning they sold it). Even though I placed the order 3+ months ago.

I have to instead have it shipped to me...a week from now.

Wow it's a reprint. So much for "limited edition".

I got excited for a minute thinking they may have been some canceled orders. I can't support a company that reprints LEs.

If it were something I wanted and I missed out on it, only for them to give me another chance at it with a second run, I would be very excited.

If it's something you want, who cares how limited it is?

I haven't purchased a SE Store CE in ages and never purchased one with a figure- but have their recent store exclusive CEs worth it? The last two I purchased were FF Type-0 and FFX HD- both of which were ok at full price but also went on to be on sale (I think the FFX HD one hit $40). But those were way lower than this but that statue looks pretty cool (looks like the original Lara outfit, with pants instead of shorts).

It really depends. The ones you bought were basically remasters which is why they didn't sell out. If its a SE store exclusive CE, a new IP, or a sequel it will most likely sell out besides FF 13 lightning returns. Only ones that don't are remasters, MMO(FFXIV) or if its not exclusive to the store. I think the last couple years the ones that sold out were Drakengard 3, Nier Automata, DQ11, Star Ocean 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, FFXV, FF Explorers, and KH2.5 which was an exception during the time.

I did see a Switch steelbook with print on the spine. It was for Pixeljunk Monsters. But yeah, all of them should have it.

I also did a preorder for in store pick up and got the no stock at the store message. This is really frustrating since I usually preorder for shipping - guess I will go back to that again. It does sound like most stores will have stock within a couple days (assuming your store's numbers are across most Best Buys) so I can probably wait it out too.

I will admit there IS a giddy sense of excitement I get knowing I was able to score something cool that's no longer available, but if, for instance, Insomniac reprinted the Spider-Man CE that I have on preorder, I'm not going to be mad and cancel my order and not support them.

 
 
Does anyone know if buying gift cards at Best Buy counts as money spent in a year? I calculated if I'll each Elite status again and I'm going to be short, unless I just buy gift cards that I know I'll use there in the future.
