Anybody get any delays with the NBA 2K19 anniversary edition from BB? I got an email that my store pickup order won't be ready for tomorrow.

I haven't paid much attention to the expected storyline of the game, but there is a reference on the statue to something that I didn't know about. It could be considered a spoiler but the hardcore crowd, but from my perspective it was more of a "oh, cool, didn't know that's in the game". I think you'd have to be a Spider Man fan of some sort to recognize it.

All that being said, we don't know how spoiler-y it is until we play the game.
 
I ordered my Spiderman back in April when it went live and it has not yet shipped (from Best Buy).  Not sure what the holdup is, but then again it usually ships from Fresno and I am in SoCal.  It will probably shit shortly and I will get it tomorrow.

Interesting, Spiderman CE seems to be not the only thing Bestbuy running short on release day, NBA 2K19 Anniversary edition also experiencing the same thing, they had to cancel midnight release and issuing $20 off coupon to anyone who placed the order.

That happened to me couple days ago with a gift card purchase. I ended up getting the item on time, and a single transaction went through on the gift card.

NBA2K19 Anniversary Edition is available for preorder from Best buy again. Chances they'll give me a $20 voucher for pre-ordering right now?
 
Was looking at "sold" listings on ebay for the 500M Pro, one sold today for $5,100 the rest are all around $700. I thought maybe it was a really collectible one with one of the special numbers but it's just the regular Gamestop headset bundle.  I'm I missing something? It was an auction too with 26 bids.

The spidey pro is really hurting the resale value. They also printed way to many, should have been 25k. It should rise in value as Christmas nears though. $800 will probably be the norm. The 500M is definitely my favorite pro variant with the gamestop white right behind.

On a side note. I got 508 (10 cert) reward points for the spiderman collectors edition. I love that almost 9 percent bump using a bestbuy visa. Get 1 if you can.

Most scalpers are idiots tbqh. They worry more about flipping quickly than maximizing their profits, which is the antithesis of what business is supposed to be about. So everyone tries to undercut one another for the cheapest price because they have sales FOMO and think they'll be stuck with it, which they wouldn't.

 
For those who preordered spiderman ce or regular game at best buy, have you gotten the preorder code yet? And if so was it on your receipt if you picked it up? Or sent through email if it was shipped/picked up? Im trying to scavenge my email and find something but nothing so far...

How long does it take for points to post? I think I just got points for my Spiderman CE, but I bought a couple other things like a TV stand recently and had that delivered a few days ago and didn't get points for that when I didn't even receive my Spiderman CE yet.

2 weeks after purchase. If you placed the order 2 weeks before release day, it will post immediately.

Ah, I see it in pending rewards, I didn't look there. Still waiting to see if I get points for that new TV I bought, because I used my account, but my dad's billing address and card since it was for him. It still hasn't been delivered yet, but isn't in pending points yet, so not sure yet.

As someone who flips on occasion, I can't really stress just how right you are. I see others doing it, and then my price gets screwed over from everyone else racing to the bottom.

How are you getting the extra Points as I'm a gamer's club unlocked member and using my BB Visa but they are basing the points off the $119 discounted purchase price unlike yours which the are doing it off retail price?

So mine reads as:

My BB Visa Purchase Points: 179

Base Points: 119

My BB Gamer's Club Points: 119

Total Points: 417

Are you Elite Plus? I'm only Elite.

I really love spidey, I mean... fav. childhood superhero and all, but I hate the way that statue looks in the face area for spidey. trhe mask lines I mean, just look strange.

I kinda still want it, but now I'm sorta okay with missing out... I think I'll just get the art book later.

Not time to panic but I checked the shipping on mine. Definitely coming from a store and not the warehouse. That's usually a sign they oversold. Getting inventory from stores to fill online orders.

I think you misunderstand how this works. "Undercutting" is more properly understood as recalibration to the market clearing price in response to information from buyers about demand at a certain supply level. Also, "flipping quickly" is not irrational, because money has a time value - $1 now can be more valuable than $2 at some future date.

But this is not the situation we are talking about. We are talking about instances where X item sells regularly at say $900 and because someone wants to sell theirs in 5 minutes instead of in 12 hours, they put it up for $150 cheaper than the average so theirs stands out. Then others panic and lower theirs.

I've seen it a million times. The market rises and falls and when it rises, they still sell because then buyers get FOMO and worry about missing out and supply getting rare and having to pay an even greater markup, so a lot of buyers just jump right away worried about missing that chance. Happens all the time.

If they somehow oversold, you'll probably get a 50 credit and a regular copy for free. Even if it's just delayed, expect some form of compensation. Bestbuy is good like that.
