Seems like a lot of people who haven't gotten their shipping email now received Delayed Email instead, BBY may have oversold the Spiderman CE.

Wouldn't surprise me with people hammering add to cart and checkout on the app all day. Who knows if they even had any in stock and if it wasn't a website error where it just appeared in stock when it actually wasn't. At the very least people should get a gift card out of it if they cancel.

So far from what I read, the majority people who got delayed claimed to be ordered during the first batch, when it first when live back in April

Yea I ordered mine about an hour after they went up back in April, on the 4th to be exact. Not sure why mine got delayed but they must have sold out fast as shit. Plus they have already announced they are not making more. I’ll just grab a regular copy tomorrow. I better get some sort of compensation as well as my pre order codes though lol

I ordered mine like a minute after it went live and mine shipped, so I don't know. I don't even know if they fulfill orders in the order of date and time ordered. I think they typically ship items based off of how close your home is to a fulfillment center. Ones farthest away ship earliest.

 
Yea I know for a fact I ordered it pretty early. But it is what it is. I was on the fence about keeping it but I’m pissed I have to go into a store to get a copy lol. Shit changed from coming soon to sold out so I doubt I will be getting one. I’m sure as shit not waiting until October 7th which is my projected delivery date.

On the plus side, a homie at Bungie sent me the digital deluxe edition of Destiny 2 Foresaken for free.
 
I got my Spider-Man CE from Best Buy on Thursday. It came in mint condition. I really like the size of it. I thought it would be much bigger when I preordered it. I have too many large collectors editions taking up space, but this one is not too big.

 
OK now I am a little concerned.  My Spiderman console is ready for pickup and yet my Spiderman CE, which I placed the order for on April 4th, is still showing as "Pre-order" status and not preparing or ready for pickup. I placed that for in store pickup, I don't know how there could even be an issue with that.

Also no delayed order email yet?

My CE finally shipped out about midnight it appears and says still will be delivered today.  Odd that they are cutting it this close normally its on a truck 2-3 days out.

I literally thought I was being safer by doing in-store pickup than  having it shipped. Still showing pre-order, still no delayed email. Trying chat now (I'm sure it'll get me nowhere) to see if they have anything to add.

Edit: Absolutely no help at all. Literally just apologized and said I should have received it since I ordered it first when I brought up why people who ordered April 4th online are the ones seemingly having issues, when people who purchased any of the numerous times it briefly popped up in stock between then and now have already got their orders/have it on the way.

So I just got off the phone with Best Buy Customer Service.  I spoke to a knowledgeable rep, which is rare as shit lol. She informed me that they got an email about the Spider Man CE's being delayed, and actually read it to me over the phone.  Apparently, there were 800 or so CE's that were delayed due to the supplier not having sent enough stock.  She also was not sure how those 800 people were chosen which explains why some people who ordered it when it went live got delay emails and others did not.  She said that the tentative arrival date for mine as well as the others was Tuesday September 11th.  Take that as you will, but she seemed like she knew what she was talking about.  She also let me know that the free copy of Destiny 2, as well as the pre-order bonuses would still be sent. 

A big part of me hopes it doesn't ship so I can get a gift card as well as saving about $100 by just buying a regular copy.

Spiderman CE has been delisted by Bestbuy. This is very similar to the Shadow of the Collossus SE fiasco, because I think they delisted that too, but still able to fulfill it afterward. For reference, my SOTC SE arrived 10 days after the initial release date.

Well now my pre-order for the Spiderman CE (April 4th) has updated to "STORE OUT OF STOCK" with a Red exclamation point on it. So, I guess there's that.

 
Managed to grab mine in store today. Their UPS shipment was late, so I had to wait around about an hour though.

Does anyone know if the season pass voucher for Spider-Man includes the preorder DLC on it? I haven't gotten an email from BB yet with any preorder codes.

Head to the store... they have no idea why CS would say that and they absolutely said they didn't get enough to fulfill their orders and they don't have one for me. They then tell me orders were fulfilled based on who ordered first, which I found laughable and even more irritating given that.... I placed this order within hours of the link going active on April 4th and I don't think this store gets THAT much traffic/orders for this. 
 
Like at this point I don't even know who to talk to, at no point have they offered a gift card or compensation, and now CS blatantly lied to me.

I had this exact situation happen to me on a discounted switch game. I called CS after to complain, they said they'd look into it and definitely call me without 48 hours to resolve it. They canceled my order and never called.

No GCU = GameStop from now on.

Seeing the trend how BBY getting way less stock than actual preordered for store pickup (Yakuza 2, DQ11 and Spiderman CE), I probably will switch my FO76 Power Armor to shipping.

I got my Spiderman today. One corner was a little dinged, but honestly, I've given up caring about perfect condition CEs a while back, it's just too hard with shipping these days. It was packed well, so likely was like that from the manufacturer stacking them in big shipping boxes.

How do you even change it? Once I have an item (FO76 Power Armor for instance, which I have pre-ordered) that is sold out, I can't make any changes to my order except changing who the pick up person is.

Best Buy actual CS chat offered me a $50 Make Good gift card, I had them apply that and a 10% off one item coupon I had recently received from Best Buy to the Spiderman PS4 Pro - making it about $320 for the system after taxes which is cool.

Outside of the fact I already have and use the Monster Hunter LE Pro.... and I had really reserved the Spiderman Pro because I regretted missing out on the God of War LE Pro, but I don't know I actually have a use for it outside of it looking pretty!

Still havent gotten digital codes from best buy called CS they had no clue what I am talking about since its Delisted said would have to open a ticket... I could honestly care less about the Destiny 2 game but hopefully codes are just delayed.

I haven't received my codes from Best buy. My codes for Divinity 2 arrived a day after launch so maybe it will the same with Spiderman.
 
Well the phone guy has no clue what im talking about he said if you ordered when it first was listed there was no bonus and no one went back and updated those to show they should of had codes.

 
Ruining errands this am saw the Spidey systems at target and Walmart. 6 of them. Should be able to grab one if you missed for any reason.
