EDIT* fuck it, placed an order. Pretty pricey, after shipping... hard to say if the game is gonna live up to the hype. Seems like we've had a lot of busts this gen.

That's a very cool item for a CE, though it's one more bit that takes up space somewhere. It's like the Halo 5 LCE, it's bits in the box without the game, though as a PC title, that's not a huge shock.

Got a question for anyone who picked up the SFV CE. I'm sure the price will tank eventually and I'll be able to get it for $50 in 6 months, but I'm not really willing to wait that long to play the game. Would you say the statue and extras are worth the extra $40? The statue itself seems to be a bit better than prize figure quality, and I did like the Udon comics that I've read.
 
Not one to bring it up again, but this utter nonsense of this just leaves me in disbelief.  After my chat with a Amazon rep yesterday about the whole Fire Emblem cancel, I sent email just to voice my dissatisfaction for the whole matter.  Well I got a long winded response from them today and the logistics of it just make my brain hurt.  These jokers don't seem to even grasp at understanding what they did.  This is quote from their explanation verbatim,

"Yes, I agree that the item was in-stock for some time but as we always fill the orders starting with the oldest orders first. But by the time we were ready to fulfill your order, the item went "Out of Stock" again. I'm sorry about that."

That's the exact opposite of what you guys did! :wall:

That and halfway through the email they seem to get confused and think that the order magically changed to one from a marketplace seller for some reason. 

Again I don't really care about the game itself.  Getting it canceled is one thing, but what they pulled is a blatant slap in the face.  All I want is for them to admit to the mistake they made and admit they screwed me over in the process.  Aside from fulfilling the order which they can't do, their is no band-aid they can slap on this and fix this.  This is a permanent black eye against them in my mind and that's not going to change, and this is only making my opinion of them even lower.

Amazon really has gone downhill.

Edit:  Also since it was asked, I only had 1 copy ordered.

Wouldn't surprise me if amazon and best buy stop selling nintendo CE's in the future, the amount of problems they seem to cause can't be worth the money, especially since each is probably an overall money loser once you factor in how every single one seems fucked when it comes to actual stock numbers and the retailers have to jump hoops giving credits and refunds to try and make up for it.

Anyways No Man's Sky LE preordered on best buy, not sure though the extra stuff in the LE is worth an extra $20 but meh.  I also wonder what their plans are for VR support on PC, its already heavily hinted its going to support PSVR on PS4.

 
Has anyone been able to put in orders via the BB iOS app lately? I tried preordering No Man's Sky and lately I have always been able to "place" the order but just get a white screen, not a confirmation number. I had to do it on Safari to order it, and this isn't the first time.

I love that they added Touch ID but what's the point if I can't order via the app?

I just used it to order the NMS CE without any problems. Maybe your connection is spotty?

I think the NMS LE is pretty typical for what you can get in an $80 CE these days. I'm happy with it

Nice use of a $25 RZ cert + GCs I had around for an occasion like this.

I always preorder from Best Buy for GCU when I can, but it always annoys me that Gamestop has an "exclusive" that I wont get. NMS has a code for three items, but they all look like early unlock-type stuff

Yea it's pretty clear Amazon stocks the least amount of Nintendo CEs. Both Xenoblade and Fire Emblem SE sold out the fastest on Amazon and it wasn't even close. Especially Xenoblade, it sold out on Amazon in a day but was available on Bestbuy for over a month, and never sold out at Gamestop.

Grabbed a No Man's Sky LE from Best Buy. This looks an awful lot like one that might get smashed in an bubble mailer though. Sucks that GS doesn't sell in-store-pickup PO's for it. I'll see if I can put in a PO when I go to the store today.

Yeah, with the history of conflict between NOA and Amazon I wouldn't be surprised if Amazon gets the lowest amount of Nintendo CE's.  

They're also selling them in 1 spot vs hundreds of Gamestop/Best Buy stores + online so even if it lasts the same amount of time, it's probably a lower quantity.

I have this fear too. Unlike some in here, I've never had an issue with an online order for instore pickup with BB, so that's generally how I've done all of my CE ordering, but this doesn't have an option for that. I'll keep an eye on the page and reorder if it becomes available. Might not hurt to throw in a second order at Amazon as well.

pre-ordered at amazon, I know I'm paying more if i decide to pick it up but I'm sick and tired of best buy charging me for pre-orders...
