Now I can't decide if I get ps4 or vita. I feel drawn to it for my vita collection, yet want to play it with the controller and big tv.

Glad amazon got it. In an attempt to cut spending I had to cut out most ce's and sadly most nis had to go.
 
Blargh - I forgot to cancel the GameStop Bravely Second that I had before the bestbuy preorder. Tried calling yesterday morning to cancel it and they said it is too late because it is shipping out on Wednesday.

I guess I can try to eat the cost of shipping, complain, or see if anyone here is looking for it at cost.

I was all excited to come here and post pictures of my Dark Souls III Estus Flask edition collector's guide.   Turns out it was a huge disappointment.  If you're thinking about ordering this edition, seriously, DON'T.  I knew it was overpriced from the start but was happy to get what I thought would be a finely crafted vase representation of the estus flask.  It is junk.  The bookmark is cool, but that's not enough.  The box is just a box.  But all in all this collector's edition was very poor value.  I will be returning it and eating the shipping cost, and buying the regular collectors guide. As you can see from the pictures, the flask isn't ceramic, displayable, or even hollow.   It is a tiny plastic piece of shit. 

Buy the regular collector's edition guide for $23.99 and not the estus flask edition for $77.99.  If you're getting it in this mail today I would honestly just slap a return label on the box without even opening it.  I haven't been this disappointed in a CE in awhile.  Hopefully this helps someone out.

It looks like the DS III CE is definitely more rare than DS II CE. But I'm still hoping it'll be like a Tales of Zestiria situation where even though it's rare enough for BB and Amazon to sell out due to the 20% discount. No enough people will buy it from Gamestop and they discount it to $69.99 in a few months Like Tales of Zestiria.

Apparently the Lord of Cinder statue from Dark Souls III prestige edition is actually serial numbered to 2000. So I'm wondering if the statue Gamestop is selling is part of the 2000, or if they made extra unnumbered versions. If it's the latter, then it's even more shitty for Gamestop to charge a whopping $400 for it.

Maybe they didn't make 2000 actual prestige editions, Just 2000 statues, and allocated some of the statues to Gamestop. The Prestige edition boxes aren't numbered, only the actual statue was based on the unboxing video. I mean it's pretty dumb to make the exact statue unnumbered after making 2000 numbered versions

Their PR stated 2,000 Prestige Editions many months ago when it was first announced, and I'm sure before Gamestop was negotiating to sell the standalone statue.

Hmmm, then yea it's pretty dumb for Namco/Bandai to make the exact same statue outside of the 2000 (At least change a little bit so there's some kind of distinction). And its pretty shitty of gamestop to charge $400 if their version isn't even numbered.

I still have my entire e-mail chain with Josh from Tri-Force if Kotaku's interested. It has Josh promising the replacements, giving import status updates for several months on end and then finally just stopping replying to me all together.

I don’t have any new update myself since we PM’d each other and I posted about my phone discussion with one of the TriForce staff back in October. I've completely given up on chasing the issue.

Basically the guy told me that the contract dispute with the shipping company was supposed to be resolved by Q1 of 2016. Well now that we’re in Q2 and have not heard a peep from TriForce, I’ve come to accept that TriForce has played us all like fools now and are hoping to just sweep the problem under the rug by never following up. I’ve talked to three different reps over this whole debacle: Josh Gray, Peter De Leon, and James Cifuni. I welcome anybody to call TriForce directly if they want. I even have James’ phone number. He was the guy that gave me the October update. But it’ll just lead to more bullshit. $5 says they claim their legal team is involved and the shipping issues with our made up “replacement parts” will be shipped out by the end of Q2. This experience has colored my outlook on this company so severely that I’m hoping something bad goes wrong with the Mirror’s Edge and Doom statues just for the mountain of negative publicity they deserve.

What kind of problems did people have with their DAI CEs? I got one and the only issue mine had was the quill hairs (or whatever you call individual feather whiskers) were bent/folded.

Every single one of the statues in mine was broken (not to mention that the trim on the collector's chest had come unglued and was all falling off - although I'm not sure TriForce had anything to do with the collector's chest part).

Already tried. Every credit card company may be different but when I called and explained the situation to VISA they said I only had 3 months from the time of purchase with the card that I used. I explained this to Gamestop and all they offered me was a $20 online coupon. I refused and went back to TriForce which was what led me to James October bullshit explanation.

 
Not sure if anyone here posted an unboxing already, but got my DS3 CE today and I'm happy to say that the steelbook/metal case whatever comes separate from the game. They didn't do that with their last CE, or Bloodborne, so thumbs up.

I think a few of my pieces were like that too but I assumed that was b/c that's how they were made... ie, two molds that are to be combined to form one figure.

Guess I should take another look at my Inquisitors Edition.

You may have better luck taking it into a store and talking to a manager - they may be able to give you a slightly better reimbursement if you would like to keep it.

I don't know what they'd investigate, either it arrived at Best Buy warehouses damaged, or was damaged in transit. Any number of places that box could have been dropped or mistreated along the way, and no one will ever find out how/where.

Depends on how OCD you are about condition. If it really bothers you, return it and see if they can order a replacement. Sometimes they can even if it is sold out on the website, I've had that happen before. If not, maybe order one from Amazon or Gamestop, and return your BB one... or if you want to play dirty, swap the second one out with your damaged one and return it to Gamestop or whatever to retain your GCU discount. If your morals are tolerant enough.

most likely I will keep it. Too much hassle just to return it
 
So, I forgot to change my BB order for the BS CE to in-store pickup when I got the double 20% off on amazon. Now it's preparing to ship, and I'm not sure what to do with it besides return it. Any suggestions?
