Glad i kept my PS4 Mania CE. I would have swapped to Switch, but given the price drop I'll buy a second copy to support an amazing Sonic game.
 
Yep, I also just ordered the NNK 2 CE at Best Buy.  Will cancel the Amazon preorder eventually but will likely keep the Gamestop in store preorder as a backup.

the amazon uk preorder went through. i was wondering when they try taking the money in january if the bank will stop it from going through. i have the us version preordered as well and dont want to cancel it if there a chance i dont get it. also do you think shipping will be a problem? i never imported games but this one was just to good to pass up.

You can call your bank before the game comes out and let them know that there's going to be a charge for around whatever the exchange rate is at the time from Amazon UK. If Amazon still can't make the charge, I believe they'll email you and let you know it didn't work and let you work it out.

As for shipping condition, that's very much up in the air. Even if they pack it well, it's gonna be handled by various people and machines over thousands of miles... not to mention that, being a larger/more expensive item, it's more likely to get inspected by customs who DO NOT care about what they do to your item.

 
Wow, that Sonic CE is a lot bigger than I was expecting.

Order a NNK2 CE & PE from BB as I'm not sure which I'm going to keep.

 
I can't deny it.  I need that Sonic statue.  The way it plays "SEEEGAA" just made 10 year old me melt.  I'm thankful it's still available after all this time.

My SteelBooks from SE arrived in a box with bubble wrap on the bottom and air bags at the top.

Sadly, you could have 10 people working at the same facility, and all 10 would package an item differently. Some would use a box, others a bubble mailer, some maybe even the cardboard wrap. Some may use peanuts, others paper, while another those air packets, and another nothing in the box at all. I get shit weekly from Amazon that really defies all forms of logic, and cost for that matter, when it comes to packaging.

 
When I logged in yesterday and had 77 alerts I knew something was up.

Just went and renewed best buy GCU and reserved NNK 2 CE for in store pick up.

I'm actually most impressed with the Star Ocean steelbook!  This is already one of the best looking steelbooks in my collection.  It has a beautiful metallic/chrome finish on the outside and then some really nice artwork on the inside.

Very nice! Expecting mine soon, I grabbed the FF type 0 instead of the star ocean, but am thinking about grabbing that too now.

get it dude. The type-0 steelbook is tits. You'll love it. I already had one from retail or I would have picked one of those up for sure.

 
Those steels are gorgeous.  Or maybe I'm biased because those are both 100% my type of game.

Reminds me I need to go back and 100% it. Hate when there are non overlapping trophies for each difficulty and the highest difficulty is gated by completing previous plays first.

I wanted a Kingdom Hearts or FF Type-0 steelbook, but I only had something like 113 points. I was going to sit on them, but Nothing371 convinced me to get the Star Ocean one... even though the game is supposedly pretty bad.

i wanna get the Life is Strange vinyl. but no way im spending $600. they being cheap. i bought the FFXII Zodiac CE for $200 they gave me 75 pts.

 
I ended up pre-ordering the FFXII CE when they offered a lot of extra points. Then I ordered the Life is Strange vinyl since I had a lot of saved up points. Ended up cancelling/returning the CE and still got my vinyl :)

Those KH are G2 in size right? I broke down and bought one since a few people are selling them for half what they usually go for after the SE added a bit more to the market. A few sources claimed it was G2 but an eye witness account always helps.

 
The star ocean steel is beautiful. Hard to believe such an awful game got such a gorgeous case when so many great games don't.

I think it depends on how long you have it. My FFXII CE had just shipped when I emailed them and said that I didn't want it anymore. They told me to just refuse delivery and they would refund me when it got back to the warehouse. Didn't have to pay for return shipping or anything since I caught the delivery driver and just told him I was refusing delivery.

Took forever to get to me, took forever to get back to the warehouse, and took a whole week to get the actual refund, but they never complained about the points or asked me to return the LiS vinyl or anything.

To be fair I was going to actually keep the FFXII CE but ended up changing my mind. I didn't order it with the intent to return it and just get the points. I'm sure if you abuse this you could get into serious shit with Square Enix.

Already have all the steels from Square. My favorite by far is Kingdom Hearts. My 2nd is Persona 5's steel & then Horizon's. Waiting until they put more art books on there like the Scars of War. What I did get though was the Eorzea Encyclopedia for $50. 300 pages, was packaged tight inside a small box so no room for bubble wrap.

Picked up my $42 Sonic Mania PS4 CE from Walmart today.  Never ordered a prerelease video game from Walmart before so all in all it was a good experience to get it a day early.  I was originally going to pass on this because of the lack of a physical game but for $42 at launch I couldn't pass it up.

Wondering if I should cash out on my SE points and grab c ouple of those steelbooks or not. I got the FFXV sun shade and I do like that, wondering if something nicer will pop up but also thinking the steelbooks wont last too long,,

 
Is the key chain that comes with the Gamestop version of the Samus Returns CE something that really has additional collect-ability/value?

It was a few months back when Walmart and Amazon were having some sort of pricing war. Walmart was offering the game for $57 plus $15 in store pick up discount (which I believe Amazon matched for a bit before selling out). Both Amazon and Walmart then started selling it for MSRP soon after. I saw about it on this website - I believe it was mentioned in several threads.
