I think the encyclopedia CE one can stand on its own, so I’m not too worried. I just hope they get the correct glossy look for the cover

I pre-ordered as well, but I have so many art books, guides & magazines of different shapes and sizes, this will be just one more in my "misfit" library. The quality of these CE is off the charts good, so I would easily trade matching exteriors, for a higher quality interior any day of the week. But I guess that's just me. LOL

 
I pre orderd Assassin's Creed Origins GODS Collector's Edition for the PlayStation 4 and just received an email from Amazon that it will miss my delivery date. They gave me a free copy of the game to download as a bonus which was a nice surprise. Check your emails if you also pre ordered.

Mine is showing preparing for shipment arriving on friday. But I also bought the Legendary Edition and received everything yesterday! This will be a busy weekend ahead of me!

 
Unboxing of Wolfenstein 2 CE. Looks pretty cool, but I have a feeling the game will drop in price fast or on BF.... Debating if I should keep or cancel mine. Dammit!

Honestly, this could go either way. They had tons of those CE with no game on their site for ages, and most of that time, it was half off in price. I can't imaging they went bonkers making these, but who knows. This is one of the better CE I've seen, as it's a unique offering, and not the typical BS you normally see.

I'm waiting on a price drop, but that's only because I just don't have the funds otherwise. If I get it cheap later, that's great. But if it sells out, and I miss out, I'm cool with that as well.

I just got an email from them earlier today about a new service of delivering packages in to your home, to avoid theft. So I can't get a discount on something I may want, but their charging $250 dollars for the set up, to prevent packages from be stolen, which they would be replacing anyway. So now some unknown delivery driver can have access to my home while I'm away? Brilliant fuck ing plan!

Well, I don't have prime for games, as I mostly use it for business supplies and what not, so it was just a bonus to use it here and there for games. I guess I'll try and get the game elsewhere if I see qty disappearing, but hopefully it will hang around for a price drop at some point.

Got the free copy too. Also committed to the Fatal Bullet Phantom Edition. Didn't see the 1,000 units, shipping is Square Enix high.

The figures look pretty good when I zoom in on the image, but I guess they all do in the pictures and then end up looking different. I thought the Kirito and Asuna ones from the Hollow Realization CE wasn't very good quality, at least compared to figures you can buy standalone for that extra price. And that CE was $150. So this being $100 doesn't have me too excited, but it also doesn't have a steelbook or soundtrack or art cards to raise the cost. But that worries me too, since the other items were pretty nice in the last CE, and this one only has figures so if they look bad, the entire CE does too. Plus, I rather have quality than quantity, one good figure is better than 4 mediocre ones like the Marvel vs Capcom Infinite ones.

I'm also now wondering if the packaging is two items - one for the game itself and one for the figures. In other words it doesn't look like (to me anyways) that the figure box will also be housing the game. If that's the case then the figures are just another collectible for the game and I'll be happy with the game only, making this a pass even though the price is OK.

I would have gone for it if the contents had been the same as the EU version, but for just statues I can pass. Hopefully that EU version will be available on Amazon UK.

I could see this going fairly quickly due to all the publicity in the news recently (Killing Nazis is news again I guess). Not sold out instantly, but at least gone within a month or two of release as more reviews come out.

I got the same email then this morning I got my shipping confirmation email with an estimated deliver date for tomorrow.

I've been having problem with Friday releases this month. Fire Emblem Amiibo and the game I didn't get until Monday. I know it's not a CE, but my Mario Odyssey hasn't shipped yet either. I usually do shipping for regular games because most of the time I get them early. Got South Park, Forza UE, WWE 2K18 Cena Nuff edition 1-2 days early.

If Mario doesn't ship today I'll just buy one in store tomorrow and return the one I got online. A pain, but I want that Cappy coin.

I did instore pickup and coin was added to cart. My UPS distro center is like 20 minutes away but they love to deliver to me last so I get packages around 8 at night. It's gotten to the point I prefer instore pickup just to actually play a game on release.

 
Best Buy if you call them will credit you for not having it on release as I have had that in the past I just called their support and they issued me 10$ before for it not being on release date.  Also I have never gotten a damaged package by them unlike Amazon which is why I stopped really going through them.

 
What side of the US are you guys getting delays from BB?  I got a order shipping Confirmation today on my Wolfenstein CE and have a email from UPS with a deliver date of tomorrow.  I am only a state over from there shipping hub in Ohio.

I've been having problem with Friday releases this month. Fire Emblem Amiibo and the game I didn't get until Monday. I know it's not a CE, but my Mario Odyssey hasn't shipped yet either. I usually do shipping for regular games because most of the time I get them early. Got South Park, Forza UE, WWE 2K18 Cena Nuff edition 1-2 days early.

If Mario doesn't ship today I'll just buy one in store tomorrow and return the one I got online. A pain, but I want that Cappy coin.

I'm going to do in store pickup from now on. I just got an email for a shipping delay on my Mario amiibo, and Odyssey still hasn't shipped yet. Meanwhile my RED Mario Joycons from Japan are supposed to arrive Saturday. Really Best Buy? You can deliver something to me before I get something in Japan released on the same day?

 
Got my $30 Mafia CE in. God damn this is a nice big quality box. Excited to look at the book, stick the vinyl next to my Bioshock 2 vinyl and then put the game in my backlog where it will remain for the foreseeable future.

My standard copy of Hidden Agenda showed up today too. Gonna break that out next week, crazy excited for that. My pals and I just have to finish Until Dawn this weekend and then it's Hidden Agenda time.

This is where you sign up for a cheap My Choice Premium membership and save your free 2 hour delivery windows for games you want as early as possible. I just did one for Mario and it's set for 10AM-12PM.

 
Didn't get a delay email from BB.  Actually, I got a normal Shipping email telling me my order shipped yesterday afternoon.  Unfortunately, tracking puts it at Monday Delivery.  I'm only a state over from OH, so maybe that info is wrong.  /shrug

It's OK, I'm having too much fun with Divinity 2 that I'm not that disappointed.  If I did have to pay for shipping, however, I would be calling.

I've sent 2 emails to them trying to find out if it;s one sealed package or not and nobody can answer anything, they just keep referring me to another email address to contact...

They probably won't answer until after it's shipped. There is so much jumping on the collector craze bandwagon and doing shady shit now. CEs without physical games, 5+ different "CE"s or cover arts, "CE"s that are just the normal game bundled with external merchandise that isn't officially a box set CE, hiding and even deleting the PEGI logos on promo art for "limited run" type games to bait the feverish US/ESRB collectors wondering if it's a US release, US/ESRB exclusives that aren't even from the US (eg: rice.co.uk), retailers holding desired things hostage behind less desired things (Gamestop), everyone scrambling overtime to get exclusives, vague and misleading info to generate hype, it's just a shit storm right now.

After watching that unboxing video posted I'm considering it. If it sells out anywhere I'll bite, but I remember buying the first ones collector edition when it dropped to 50. Still disappointed that I gifted it, that statue was really awesome.

Does BestBuy just not give a shit anymore?  My wolfenstein CE box has a big tear across the front....seems like 50% of the time I have to swap my purchases out in store....I need some gas reimbursement.

No more ship to home for me...back to only in store pickup

I honestly never shop at BB much, but over the years, I've always gotten stuff in boxes from them with normally proper packaging materials. But I would say 50% of the stuff I get, comes damaged in some way. And I don't thinks it's from shipping, but that they send me damaged items from their warehouse. So better than Amazon in some ways, but worse in others.

Amazon sends me things in good shape, but their poor ass bubble mailers and balloon packs, ultimately means damaged. BB sends stuff packaged properly, but I get stuff that looks like it was a return or something. Both suck, but for different reasons. LOL

my Guardians of the Galaxy 2 SB was damaged. couldnt exchange it cause it ran oos. called them up and gave me $8. then i got another damaged item which is Fire Emblem Warriors CE. the shipping box and the product box are damaged. product box got torn and u can see the inside. the cd paper case is dented. called them up and the guy sounded like a rookie. he just gave me $5. so little. he told me either ship it back to them for full refund or take the $5 and suck it up.
