Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Well I thought the two Moss demos I played were awesome and 4-5 hours for a game like that as a first time effort seems pretty decent.

Game pricing is something that has been argued since pretty much games came out. It's all relative. I have put in over 300 hours of Breath of the Wild. I have put it like 85 hours of Mario Odyssey. They both cost the same. Is Mario Odyssey overpriced? What about Tetris effect? I got it for 20 bucks but it was 40 normally. It's a puzzle game and it takes like what an hour to beat or something? Two hours maybe? The main mode I mean. I can go on and on with examples like this.

Aren't there certain indie games that are only like an hour or two and cost $15 to $30? Isn't Journey a really really short game? I am pretty sure it was over twenty bucks when it came out.

Anyway, I have been playing a lot of Tetris effect. You really need to go fast to score high in certain modes and I am not as good at Tetris us I thought haha. My favorite Tetris of all time is The New Tetris for N64 and I'm a little disappointed they didn't incorporate the gold and silver squares into Effect but there are lots of cool modes and events in it. It's almost an experience rather than a game.

I still haven't played all of the demos on discs one and 2 but I'm really liking psvr. I am sure there are plenty of demos on the PS store I need to also get to.

So, is there a reason you posted a pic of your QVC order? Then ask for suggestions on games, when you could just read the last 4 or 5 pages and see lists others have made of their favorite games. Your profile says veteran, but you don't act like one, with your flex pic and laziness.
How about you instead explain why you left me negative feedback on a transaction that we never made between each other? And then explain why you didn't respond to my inquiry and then blocked me? If it was a mistake then own it

Began playing with the VR set I got for my kids (aka me :) ) over the past few days. I haven't played a ton yet, but tonight I played Astro Bot and I think this might be my favorite video game experiences in recent memory. I only played the first four levels (1-1 through 1-4), but I was smiling the entire time and couldn't stop saying "Oh my god, this is incredible". The LittleBigPlanet series (in particular, # 1 and # 2) are some of my favorite games so I'm a bit biased since this games feels like LBP in VR. In summary - WOW. If you get the chance to play it, I think you'll be amazed as to how freaking cute Astro Bot is and what the future of VR could hold. If you don't have a VR set, find someone with it and this game and I'll bet you go out and buy one immediately.

If there are any other VR games out which are similar to this, please share the game titles, thanks!

I do have a friend who played my Astro Bot and it was the weekend before the Thanksgiving holiday sales started, and Monday he went out and bought the Astro Bot and Moss bundle.  After about 3/4 of the first level of Astro Bot he took the headset off and was like "IM GETTING IT!".

There really are no games like Astro Bot on it, it's one of a kind currently and I feel like it's pioneering the platformer in VR.

Another game however that wow'd me just as much due to it'e storytelling and environment is Moss.  That game is unreal.  It is a bit short though but it's an incredible experience.

Has anyone played Creed at length? I don’t know much about it yet I can imagine if it uses both wands it could be exhausting.

I've played for a few hours. It's not too bad. The fights and rounds themselves are pretty fast and you can take breaks in between. I usually do 3 fights and a couple training things per session. It's pretty fun and i do recommend it.

So in keeping with the hostility, I just wanted to call out that Tetris noob and say I've been playing since the Mac classic so get rekt fuckboi. I will beat your score with one hand tied behind my back because I only need one for wasd /s

I do have the Moss demo on the PSVR Demo Disk, so I will try it out and if good, will pick it up in the PS Store since it's on sale for $22.49 (I normally don't buy digital but w/ VR, digital makes sense as mentioned by other members as it makes switching games much easier. I picked up a 2Gb portable external for storage this past weekend to plan on the extra digital content. Moss link - https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP1983-CUSA09290_00-MOSSGAME00000000). Thanks for the recommendation. Forgot to mention, my biggest gripe w/ Astro Bot so far is you can't have multiple save slots so I'll have to start a new game on a secondary account.

Thankfully Moss does have multiple save slots (with updates) if you have multiple people who play on one console and want to experience it. I needed a second slot due to a trophy glitch.

Just bare in mind the game is very short and generally a one time playthrough. It isn’t bad demo material to show off though.

I've played through Moss 5 times. Also, @Romeo made up his mind about that game before he ever played it.
Huh? I played the demo and really enjoyed it. Was excited for launch though wasn’t keen on paying $30 for it. Waited for a sale that never happened, so I rented it. Glad I did since it was so short. I did enjoy the ride.

I have said nothing but praise for the game. My only complaint is the length for the price. I’ve said it’s fun, I said it has a good story, I said it’s good demo material.

Cool, thanks! May I recommend SuperHyperCube? It's a pretty simplistic puzzle game but I really enjoyed it and I've found it to be a good "intro to VR" for friends/family who visit with no risk of motion-sickness.

What is with the super long loading times on demo disc 1? I downloaded it from the store and my goodness it takes like a minute or so after each demo to load back to the main screen. Also I think the Eve Valkyrie demo lasted maybe 2 minutes. What a rip off.
I tried to play the rec room earlier today but it said I had to sign up for an account and didn't feel like it so checked out the playroom instead and all of the games look really cool but I was just by myself so will check that out when I am around friends.
I hope there are more and more games that have multiplayer same room with VR. Kind of like what Nintendo did with the Wii U gamepad. Asymmetrical.
I have Skyrim VR but have already put like 25 hours into the Xbox One X version and don't feel like starting all over again with much longer load times and downgraded visuals. I might just install it and try it out though just to say that I did it.

What is everyones thoughts on Borderlands 2 VR? It came w/ the most recent VR headset bundle, but I have yet to install it (I might try to sell it).

I still have an open backorder at QVC, but I decided to finally jump on the Moss bundle. Ordered it from Rakuten today, they have it for $208 after 15% coupon code (SAVE15). Also ebates has 4% cashback at rakuten today. I saw the bundle Google Express via antonline for $208 as well.

Has anyone played Ranch Planet? The images and this, from the description, "The WRG VR Game (WRG in reference to “the wrestling game”, the game is about strength combat )" has me wondering what this game is.

Operation warcade is getting bought up at gamestop B&Ms around me and was price hiked on amazon recently. I would pick it up soon if any of you guys are interested in it. Have not played it personally but going to pick up a copy this week.

Looks all gone to me. No new no matter what zip code I put in.

There seem to be plenty of pre-owned copies available, perhaps it was converted from New to Preowned.

I believe it was converted to pre-owned so if a store has multiple "pre-owned" copies its possible you might still get a sealed one.

Just FYI with Gamestop and their "website"

it's inventory tracking is  fuck 'd

Needed a new headset, not one gamestop in 250 miles had it in stock. Walked into the nearest one, 5 in store.

Just last night was going to buy a travel case for my switch, online said that 1 basic case was in stock at nearest gamestop. NO others. Walked in, they had every option the website said they did not.

GS clerk said their inventory tracking has been messed up for a while and things are rarely correct.

Yeah whenever a title on Gamestop's website goes from 0 new copies available locally to many preowned copies available, more than likely it was converted from new to used. In the case of Operation Warcade it actually saves most people a few dollars, since the new price was $19.99 and the used price is $17.99, plus Pro discounts start to kick in on preowned copies.

Thanks for the heads up. I've meaning to check this one out. I loved Operation Wolf in the arcades and this sounds like a nice homage

bought a PSVR off google express, and was able to get it 20% off because i haven't used that thing using a code Joinhoney   gave me

After ordering i looked back at the original posting and saw the name and image for the title was the moss bundle, but the description was showing borderlands bundle, I contacted through webtalk and they are saying its moss/astrobot.

it gets here Wednesday so I will let everyone know what it actually is then, but figure its a decent price either way.

Also since this is my 2nd or 3rd post i cant post links, but its sold by antonline on google express.

\

I got my Xbox 1 X from antonline through google express (a lot of us did with the great black friday deals) So don't worry about the seller, they are legit. And 20% is a good deal, you will enjoy the PSVR. but I'll warn you... you may be starting off with 2 of the best games on the PSVR.

yeah i feel like it is a good price either way, but since the description says its the borderlands deal, not the astro deal... i cancled a order of move controllers. and am anxiously waiting to see what I am getting.

Newegg has some PSVR bundles for 20% off MSRP today only using coupon code "emctuut36". $240+tax for Astrobot/Moss bundle and $280 for Borderlands/Beat Saber. Not as good as the holiday deal, but still better than MSRP.

new to VR, what on this list is a must buy? Opinions please :) I only have beat sabre and Borderlands2.
The recommendations above are all good, if you are looking at some cheaper games Eagle Flight, Carnival Game and Solus Project are all worth the $5-6 they are currently.

I'm just gonna post a few a lot of thoughts on the games in the sale I've played:

Cold Iron is an interesting little game. It starts as a quick Old West quickdraw duel game, and through the short campaign is essentially a series of fast-reaction puzzles building on that theme in completely different environments. The duels are first-to-5 wins, so it can feel a bit repetitive early and be frustrating later. There are three levels with three duels in each, and you have to beat the whole level in one go. These are followed by a stupidly hard 'standard' duel and then a final boss that remixes a lot of what you've seen already. There are also a handful of shooting gallery challenges. It controls well and feels good to play.

If you're into that old-school arcade style of replaying for mastery, it's fairly meaty; as a one-and-done experience the story game it's short but sweet, if you like Old West trappings.

End Space I haven't played a ton of, but to my understanding it's the only full single-player space pilot dogfighty-game available for PSVR. I've played enough to say it's competent but not much else.

Gunjack is arcadey fun. You're basically manning a turret on a starship (kind of like those scenes in the original Star Wars trilogy where Han and Luke shoot TIEs from the Millennium Falcon). You're essentially gunning down waves of enemies in various formations. Classic sort of gameplay and it's dirt cheap.

Raw Data is one of my favorite games on the platform. It's a character-based wave shooter with some light tower defense elements. There's a good deal of variety between enemy types and how each character deals with them, 9 levels and various difficulties, a lot of replayability, and a decent narrative. Some of the controls are a little dodgy (I have never been able to pull off Saija's charge attack) and I did crash at the end of one level that was apparently once notorious for it, but I've certainly gotten my money's worth.

Resident Evil 7 is a must play. The atmosphere is great, it matches the tension of the original Resident Evil trilogy without totally throwing out the action elements of RE4 and beyond, and is generally a lot of fun to creep through the environments figuring out the puzzles and occasionally blowing away the bioweapons. The narrative isn't great but all the voice actors and such are excellent.

I feel like the Gold Edition is worth it; you get one of the two mini-campaigns (the other is technically free) that play quite differently (and more action-oriented) to tie up loose plot ends. The rest of the DLC is 'Banned Footage' which varies a bit more; you have a wave shooter type mode where you collect resources to build gear to stay alive for several waves, a short prequel of what happened to set off the events of the game, an escape room type game where you have to solve puzzles while avoiding the attention of a monster, and a very variant blackjack played under the watchful eyes of one of the gore-obsessed psychos from the main game.

The Solus Project is mostly a good game if you appreciate the genre. It bills itself as a survival game, but it's really an exploration/puzzle focused game where you occasionally have to manage your temperature and food/water. The atmosphere is great, the voice acting is superb (though there isn't much of it), and the gameplay is pretty solid if you're into it, though I feel the survival elements are too simple for enthusiasts and too annoying for casuals (note that you CAN turn these off).

The narrative is a garbled mess and I intensely dislike the ending, but the journey is worth it.

Sprint Vector is a game I'm just getting into, but I can really appreciate what it's going for. It's a novel racing game based around a simple sprint-like arm motion using the Moves. There's a lot of potential to it, but it's definitely the kind of thing you've got to develop your skills with to be any good at.

Ultrawings is a civilian flight sim often described as 'like Pilotwings'. You use the moves to operate all the bits in the cockpit, you do various flying through rings and popping balloons and taking pictures on a small chain of ~4 major islands. I'm not a big connoisseur of flight sims, but it strikes a nice balance between control complexity and arcade-y flying. It's a tad grindy (though I think a recent update adjusted this), but there are four planes to try and a LOT of missions to tackle. I recommend it if you're looking for a flight game that doesn't involve combat.

Wipeout is another one I haven't spent enough time with, but it's an exhilarating arcadey racer, especially if you aren't prone to motion sickness and turn off all the comfort options. All I can say is for $6 it's a real steal if you're at all into racing games.

So I was browsing the Gamestop website earlier today and noticed that this game apparently got a physical release:

Roller Coaster Tycoon Joyride

https://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/roller-coaster-tycoon-joyride-psvr/169908

Only 1 Gamestop within 250 miles of me has it in stock.  The thing is I can't remember it ever being up for preorder, or even in stock new.  Anyone know how long ago it came out?  Does anyone besides Gamestop sell it?

Walmart.com has it. It showed up on their site in early December.
