Just starting a thread for deals for the Playstation VR.

I picked up the Core bundle off Amazon and I'm looking for a cheap camera and move controllers.

I found that best buy has some cheap playstation 4 cameras on sale for 39.99 with free shipping.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-playstation-camera-for-playstation-4-black/8245153.p?skuId=8245153

If you all know any good deals for move controllers or launch games, let me know.

Until Dawn: Rush of Blood (PS VR) $15.99 via Amazon (Prime Price). https://www.amazon.c...heapassgam08-20

Is beat saber a digital only game? Im trying to narrow down which bundle to get. Its a toss up between the beat saber / Borderlands bundle or the Blood and truth / golf bundle
BT/Golf imo, but be sure to get Beat Saber.

IMO BL2 isn't just a fantastic port but I'm in the minority here.

Everybody quit saying how good Blood and Truth is.... going to make me go pick it up, and then it will instantly go on sale. :)
Not to sound negative, but if it's like any other physical PSVR game, it will be bargain-binned in a few months and you'll be able to get it for a fraction of the original price.

Job simulator is an example where a physical PSVR game retained its value and is now worth more.

But generally I agree with you. I think distributors are shipping an initial supply and then following up with a restock, leaving us in the dark about whether a physical title is limited or not. The potential that a game is limited is creating artificial demand from people that suddenly realize they need the physical version if it's limited.

Yeah, it's kind of a crapshoot when it comes to VR games. I would say because it's bundled with PSVR, the price will drop down soon and it will be plentiful (at least on eBay). Then again, Astro Bot was the same way and hasn't been reduced since Black Friday (now that it's a GOTY title). Job Simulator was one of those limited batch "indie" type games which is why it's so rare. But I can definitely see B&T and Trover dropping by at least $10 by the holidays.

Damn. No Moss sale. I need to rebuy that to play the new content. Should've kept my disc.
This is the first I've heard of a Moss update. Any idea when that hits PSVR?

Farpoint can be played without the gun attachment?
Yup, you can play with the DS4, though I don't know why anyone would want to.

---

Edit: Astro Bot is $19.99 at Best Buy. First time it's been discounted this year (cheaper than digital).

Edit 2: Astro Bot, Bravo Team, Creed: Rise to Glory, Déraciné and Tetris Effect are all $19.99 at GameStop.

Bravo Team and Tetris Effect are also $19.99 at Best Buy.

Also, Farpoint is $9.99 at Best Buy. Just need to find the AIM controller somewhere.

I think the Moss update is supposed to be already out from the initial story I read.
Wow I had no clue about a Moss update either until just reading that. Then I googled and found this.

http://www.pushsquare.com/news/2019/05/adorable_psvr_favourite_moss_gets_a_free_content_update_next_month

That is an awesome surprise!
Upon further research, it appears the new level (Twilight Garden) came out on the Oculus Quest on May 21, but will be released to PSVR and other platforms later this month.

There’s going to be plenty of new content for fans of Moss to enjoy, with a brand-new chapter called Twilight Garden to explore. In addition to the new chapter, players will have a new mini-boss to fight, new environments to explore, puzzles to solve, character to talk to, an alternate weapon/armour set to enjoy, and of course more story. The new content is peppered throughout the videogame and can be accessed through portals players find in the environment.
Gives me an excuse to download again and re-experience the magic. Can't believe it's been over a year since I played.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but Fry's has The Inpatient on clearance for $9. I was able to pm it at Best Buy yesterday despite not having a Fry's anywhere close to me. Ymmv as the cashier had to go ask if they would pm it since it's on clearance, but they ok'd it.

Ghost Giant was an exceedingly pleasant experience. It's a storybook adventure set in a diorama world not unlike Moss, where you control the titular character and guide the on-screen NPC through a series of simple environmental puzzles. It deals with themes of loneliness and depression (my forte), but doesn't really delve that deeply into the consequences (they could have developed the third act a little more). It's fun and intuitive and lasts about 3 hours (similar to Moss), so I would probably recommend it once it drops significantly in price. (As always, I keep my list of PSVR ratings up-to-date.)

I'm wondering if the forthcoming Luna will be at all similar. I really enjoy these types of narrative puzzle games in VR.

I bought the beat saber / BL 2 bundle. Got the aim controller used at Game stop for $28 (had a 15 reward cert)

Also bought Farpoint for 7.99 and creed for 15.99 at best buy. From a game share have:

Battlefont

Astrobot

Skyrim

Doom

Moss

And I have no mans sky for when that goes live

Any recommended must have accessories or the best charging stand?

A Chinese man once told me that an SSD was the best accessory you could buy.

Virtual Virtual Reality is friggin' awesome. It's basically Portal meets VR. It starts out being one thing and ends up being another (the less said, the better). It follows in the tradition of subversive VR games like Job Simulator, Accounting+ and Super Hot. It's not the best looking game, and it only has about 2-3 hours of content, but it stands out in my mind in terms of ideas and originality in VR.

Damn, they got the licensed monopoly on Beat Saber. I like Imagine Dragons well enough, but not a big enough spread of songs I would have liked. I'm still waiting for a deep cut on the game and all its DLC.

Any of the PSN PSVR sales an all time low price?
Superhot VR is the lowest it's ever been (though you might as well get the bundle). I don't think Batman: Arkham VR has ever gone lower than $9.99. Others like Farpoint and PlayStation VR Worlds are cheap but have been lower before. It's simply not a very good PSVR sale.

I thought I was on a winning streak with the last 4 VR games I played. It all came to a crashing halt today. When I bought Salary Man Escape on sale awhile back, I had no idea it was made by Oasis Games (the LJN of the VR world). Needless to say, the game is a piece of shit. It's repetitive, aggravatingly imprecise physics puzzle garbage, the music keeps looping the same annoying ass songs OVER AND OVER and it just looks and plays like crap (stiff controls, poor tracking, ugly monochrome environments). I feel compelled to play through as much as I can to get my stupid money's worth, but I'm not enjoying any of it. At least it can also be played in non-VR mode to save me a bit of a headache (and I'll just play my own music through headphones).

Persistence used is $12.99 at gamestop

Firewall zero hour used is $17.99 at gamestop

Hope I'm not duplicating someone else's post

Guns 'n' Stories: Bulletproof VR wasn't that great. A standard wave shooter, with the benefit of unlimited ammo and no reloading. Unlike something like Cold Iron (which I liked a bit better), there's not so much a focus on accuracy but volume of bullets. Since it's about an old timer telling his grandson fanciful stories about the Wild West, there is no adherence to logic and so there is a lot of anachronism in the gameplay and humor (which I liked). The main problem with the game is that the levels are too long, with the enemies swarming you constant throughout, and my wrists were already burning from the first stage (there are 15 in all). I dropped it down to "Baby" difficulty and still had the same problem (although it's harder to die). The only reprieve is when you are given automatic weapons at various points (when it's actually quite fun), but sticking with the revolver is brutal.

It's one of those games that feels destined to have a 0% platinum rating because of trophies like "not taking damage" and getting 5 stars throughout. No, thank you.

(Edit: Upon playing it further, I realize it has a 0% platinum because of a number of glitched trophies.)

Picked up a code for Borderlands 2 VR today off of Facebook for $10. Haven’t got a chance to try it out but I’m looking forward to it. I asked them if they wanted to sell the Beat Saber code too, but she replied that they were keeping that one because that’s what they bought the bundle for

$65 bucks. But cool looking extras. But $65 bucks.

I just noticed that Déraciné and Bravo Team got permanent price drops to $19.99 on PSN.

Curious if anyone has dug into Luna or Vacation Simulator yet. One is $14.99, the other is $29.99, guess which one I'm leaning towards??

Vacation simulator release totally caught me off surprise, need to pick that up. And project Lux looks right up my alley.

Great Moss deal, don’t think it will be that low for a while and I’m itching to try it out before Astro Bot to ensure it doesn’t ruin all other VR games for me!
