Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

i finally found a metroid prime bundle. it was beat up as hell and the box was slightly opened but i was just lucky to have found it. it was $29.97, $10 more than what's being reported. oh well. all is good. other than that, nothing else that i saw that caught my eye really.. well maybe except for the ps3 memory card adapter for $4.97, and 64mb memory card for 360 for $6.97.

That memory card adaptor is $1.50 at Kmart.

Dont feel bad there are a couple of 360 games by me with December Clearance stickers on them and now they are back to ringing up $59.99 lol... I know they would have to honor the clearance tag but they arent even worth it at the original clearance price.
 
So I hooked up my friend with 5 various

sports games that I found for $5 and under (all of them new and sealed, of course). But one of them (NBA 2K7), when he opened it, had a different disc inside, some soft of animated Bible stories or something.

Weird, right? I've heard of cases not containing a disc at all, but this one had a totally different thing in there that wasn't even a video game at all. Maybe they are packaged and wrapped at the same factory or something?

So I was bummed that I was trying to hook my friend up with a deal, but he got biffed.

Well, this morning I went to my local Sears goldmine and they had one left for $2.97! Karma, I guess, for doing a good deed and helping out someone. That's the CAG way, right? :lol:

That sucks... a month ago I got it for 6.97 minus another 75%... along with a few other titles... bad thing is that store has been completely dry since... Id scored more cheap games there than anywhere
 
hi! first deal post, i hope its ok. ive seen were genji has been on clearance at several places. but never fond it local. here are 2 ways to get it for 4.97 for anyone. the store is sears way one call for online line order, tell them it is in store for 4.97 they must call and check, when there get the price they will set up the order for 4.97 plus shipping(1.99), this is a ymmv as some will not check price saying that there is to much of a difference. way number 2, order it, both ways are ship to home, then return it to a store and re buy at 4.97 call to get a shipping refund of 1.99. this should only be good while it is online in stock
 
This should have gone into the Sears clearance thread.
But can you really call in an order and have them price match clearance? This would be really good...
EDIT: Called. Got turned down. They said the local store has to have it in stock before they can price match it.

is it a factory sealed game or did you noticed that the seal didnt looked like a regular sealed ps3 game? someone probably resealed it and took the other game. its possible that sears might have their own sealing machines.

Definitely a YMMV. Tried it and even had another Sears receipt with the lower price. They wouldn't PM. Ended up returning the game.
 
I wonder if the copy of the Samurai Jack(PS2) video game that I saw on the list on the first page of this thread finally dropped at my local Sears to $3.99, since it's been $39.99 every damn time I've had it price checked.

I hate that prick!!! The only time i bought something from Jerry is when i guess his son was working. Legend of Dragoon was marked $8, but he said i could have it for $3. Jerry probably flipped!!! His prices are higher than ebay!!!!!

That was a couple guys trying to make their own dvd/cd/game stand. They had some ok prices I suppose, but the best part of their stand was that they had a resurfacing machine and charged as little as Gamecrazy to do it($2 or so per disc).

They either got booted from the flea market or left of their own accord. Had the old manager left sooner(like when I had an assload of unopened clearance games and my 400-600 guides still), I probably could've further stuck Jerry with his overpriced games($30-40 for Sneak King for Xbox/360 anyone?).

The way it is, I don't think he ever really sells anything, since it's ALWAYS the same friggin' games every time I go up there.

On topic though, I wish I were closer to Whitehall, since the Sears there supposedly has Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom(which I just offloaded on BBV for $13 but I want another copy for $4). Unfortunately, it's at least an hour's drive from here, so it's not worth it.

I know I'm further derailing this thread, but I was there a few weeks ago and it was still open. I picked up Ico for a paltry $7. The pricing seemed decent, but many of the game covers were discolored from sitting in the sun.

As for SEARS, there was absolutely fucking nothing at the Viewmont Mall. It was kind of disheartening considering that last year they were packed with great stuff. They were the first to clearance Cubes out at $30 a piece.

OH....you went to one of the OUTSIDE stands or to the completely outside flea market at the drive-in?

The closest Sears with anything now is probably Lehigh Valley Mall/Whitehall area, since between the flea market guy, Lude and myself we've cleaned out the stores here. :lol:

Have you tried the SEARS at the Wyoming Valley Mall in Wilkes-Barre?

Aside from 2k7 sports games, they had jack. Of course, it didn't help that Lude found and bought the only copy of Untold Legends for PS3 there for $4-5. How the fuck I missed it is beyond me, since I hit that one pretty regularly.

Mind you, if I found that game, it would've been going to Kmart as a return, since I paid $15 for my copy of the game from Kmart because it was clearly marked and I figured it'd NEVER last until it dropped to $5.

lol, i almost bought that ICO u got, but i passed. Yea that colored dot guy is at the outdoor one now. ive been finding good shit there lately. Yea the SEARS Viewmont mall sux!!! O ya sorry about that IATCG. i did leave u a blazing angels didnt i!!!??? lol
 
does anyone by some chance know the current price of halo 3 (any type, but preferably the special edition) at Sears? Someone posted in a thread that i started and said that the special edition was between $5-$15, but upon looking at the original post, the deal was not only a few months ago but very ymmv. If anyone can shed some light onto this for me i'd appreciate it.

I passed up that untold legends a few weeks ago since it wasn't marked from what i recall, but now wish i didn't. I was at that sears today and had the guy price check donkey kong barrel blast, and it rang up $24.9x, so i bought it for myself.

Stopped by sears today price match with CC "Dragon Quest Swords" down $14.XX plus taxes. Also, picked up Scene it? Lights, Camera, Action (360) $25 plus taxes. :)
 
In all the time I've read this thread and checked sears I've never found a single clearance game... until today. Nabbed Scene It for $25. It was the last copy. The guy checking me out was fairly young and new all about the cheap price, i.e. a gamer. I assume he is why I never find anything good there.

My local sears stores everything. Just print out the page from CC website or Gamestop/EBgames website and they will price match it.

To update the OP, I also saw:

All 4 didn't have the pink clearance stickers. They had the regular white, rectangular stickers with barcode and clearance price.
