Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

Scanned Lair today and came up $19.97
They had a bunch of the Singstar Bundles but I could not find anyone with a key to scan them.

I'll go back another day.

Went to Sears today and got the following:

Two Worlds (Xbox 360) $9.95
The Incredibles (PS2) $1.97
Hack G.U. Vol. 3 Redemption $2.97

After tax, walked out with a total of $16.06. Not bad.

I understand Two Worlds and Incredibles aren't great games. Critics and reviews seem to hate Hack, but players all give it extremely high marks.

Might just return Two Worlds and get Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction instead. Same price.

Bionicle Hereos was on sale for $1.97. It looked cheesy, but is well reviewed, so I'll give it a go. Eternal Sonata was there for $19.97.

Were they in a cardboard box or that plastic bubble crap? Only the plastic bubble crap version is on clearance as it was the first volume released. The ones in the cardboard boxes are the newer volume 2's which are $59.99. Nabbed the last one in the case today in Fredericksburg, VA. Haven't stopped at a Sears since they were practically giving away those Halo 3 CE for $5 or $6 months ago.

That heavy ass thing is going to cost more that $5 to ship. That is if you are talking about singstar ps3, I'm sure some guys would be willing to send you the $1.97 amped version for that price. :lol:

Exactly, and I do think he was referring to the PS3 version... you can technically since it has disc media in it, ship it for probably 3-4 bucks with DC number via media mail... (Amazon shipped my Halo 3 LE in a huge box through media mail)

But even then, $11 for game 3-4 to ship... 1-2 for packing materials... time to drag your ass to a busy Post Office to ship the thing... and if you are dealing with paypal... paypal fees

Im a nice person, but got burned by CAG's a few times over trades (one who goes by a stupid gimmick thinking he is a particular movie actor) to want to deal with the heartache
 
Got the PS3 Singstar for $9.97, PS2 Singstar amped for $1.97, Dynasty Warriors Gundam for $6.97 and Two Worlds for $9.97. There are two sku's for the singstar amped. The one that says something about 30 tracks on the bottom of the package rang up at regular price but the one without it rang up at $1.97. I assume it is a older version since it had a different SKU number. Good luck all.
 
Unfortunately .Hack still rings up 14.97, still has Nov. tag. I did however get 4 BT headsets for 97 cents a piece!! There were about 50 left. It takes AAA batteries, luckily they had 4 pack rechargable AAA batteries for 20 cents each. The BT headset is a GE model # 86710.

No, I meant I got the game to replace SOTC, which I was going to trade in at GS, but didn't want to.



EDIT: Damn, nice find on the BT Headsets. Might have to have a lookout for those. Where were they in the store?
 
absolutely NOTHING at my sears. not even a bad selection of clearance games but a complete lack of a clearance section
 
The 97 cents BT headsets were not with the other headsets. They were on a clearance rack near the t.v.'s. BTW they work great with the PS3.

Today i purchased 2 HD-DVD drives for 4.97 from the montgomery mall sears in bethesda maryland. I dunno if its ymmv or not, but i'm pretty happy! There aren't any more left at that one, but good luck to whoever can find some. Came with king kong and a universal remote too! Worth it for just the remote imo.

I saw a couple HD-DVD drives earlier in the week but didn't bother checking the price since they were $49.99 a month ago and I didn't think they were on the clearance schedule.

sing star bundle for $9.97 confirmed at Cerritos mall in SoCal. There is 5 left. I just found out that I couldn't sing...:(
 
CRAP!! I saw one of the HD-DVD drives at the one Sears by me and I didn't think to have it price checked. I did see two Singstar bundles for PS3 for $9.97 each, but since I KNOW I can't sing worth a shit I didn't pick them up.

The only person I know who might want them is my one buddies' brother-in-law, but he must be broke since it's Christmas time since he didn't even want the $30 Silent Hill Homecoming I picked up last week.
 
Just a correction. Those are the HD-DVD drives for the 360 that i found for 4.97. Hope some of you others can find them that cheap too! Its worth it just for the universal remote.

No, they are 150. I just checked on Wednesday Night. I can check again. For 109, Id probably buy it but its b/c my elite is crapping out. I want to return it to costco for another one and dont' want to lose the HD profile stuff. Costco does not seem to have the elites for some reason. Its really pissing me off too. Who updated the op to 109?

Nothing really that great but they were cheap.
When I was there the employees in electronics were in the middle of reorganizing most of the video game section. It looks like they were pulling a bunch of titles out of the glass cases and dumping them into a couple bins in the middle of the main isle.
 
Note that the HD-DVD drives for the 360 work great as external drives on a PC -- I have 2 of them hooked up at the moment for ripping MP3's. They also seem to do significantly better at reading scratched discs than my internal dvd-rw drive does.

Managed to find PS3 Singstar Vol 1 Bundles for $15. I sure as hell wasn't going to wait to see if it dropped further. :lol:
The PS2 Singstar bundles were all full price. :cry:

Thanks OP, I've been itching to get Eternal Sonata for months but just haven't found it anywhere. Got one copy for $19.99 about an hour ago. If anyone in the Brockton, MA area still wants Eternal Sonata, there's one copy left.
