Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

1.97? Yeah, that's about the price I'd be willing to pay for Two Worlds.
 
I'm having alot of fun with Two Worlds. Sure it's cheesy and laughable at times (most of the time) but it's a fun diversion. I paid $10 and I'm not disappointed, for $2 it's a steal. Word of caution; if you plan on getting it to earn some quick achievement points forget about it. You need to complete the entire game and then some in order to get the points.
 
My Sears had nothing priced since November, so I had no real idea what was on sale other than what was mentioned here. Did not find much. Scurge (DS), Platypus (PSP) and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi (GBA) all for .97 each.
 
Is stickering items something determined by the manager or something? Because at my local SEARS everything is always updated with the latest months yet at other ones they're either not stickered or the stickers are always out of date.
 
Probably that and the employees. I had a manager at Kmart flat out tell me they don't bother taking the time to tag clearance games locked up in the glass case. Fine with me as I got everything I wanted from the last drop at Kmart.

At most Sears I have been to, it seems like some stuff is correctly tagged, others aren't. Like the Full Auto 2 I got was out with the other PS3 games not tagged at all but other games in the dump bin were tagged with December stickers.
 
Finally found a Sears with the January drops in effect. I scanned the following:

I usually find no stickers at all or outdated stickers. Which is nice, because $0.97 games are much, much easier to find that way! The one I went to conveniently had a price check scanner nearby so I just went with piles of stuff and scanned away. Basically, if the game looks like it's been there awhile or has one of those holiday/seasonal shipper UPCs on the back, it's worth checking the price on. Most of the time these aren't in the glass case.
 
my sears doesn't seem to have a price scanner in sight and I don't like taking a big stack of games to have an employee scan them for me, just feel weird idk.

That's what they're there for...make them do their jobs. If they're like my Sears there's usually a huddle of about 5 of them standing around shooting the shit around the TV's or appliances.

Yeah, I've seen this phenomenon at several Sears stores too. The good news is most of the time the employees are very eager to help when asked. At least in my experiences.

Not at any of the ones I know. They're usually all getting high in the back storeroom. Is it any wonder that Sears sucks.
 
Well this sucks. Sears actually advertised their clearance games in the weekly ad this week. No prices are listed but specific titles are shown indicating they are 20% - 80% off. Titles shown include Lair, Armored Core 4, Parappa The Rapper, Battalion Wars 2, Metroid Prime Hunters, Assassin's Creed: Altair's Chronicles, and Turok. So now the general public has at least an idea of whats on clearance.

Besides I doubt putting this in the ad is going to bring games in by the flocks seeing most sears have a pretty bad selection of games especially around me if they are connected to a mall.. There is a mainly clothing department store "Kohl's" and they sometimes will have a little ad in the paper saying 40-80% off entire selection of video games so I went to check it out and its a small rack with a bunch of crap and the most current stuff is the wii shovelware crap you find at other stores cheaper.... so unless its already a regular videogame lurker at your sears I would not worry to much because most shoppers are oblivious to the low prices we get...

Another problem with having it in the ad though is employees may actually start stickering clearance games at the current price to satisfy people brought in by the ad. It seems that at around half the Sears I've been to the games are stickered correctly and at the other half they are not. I do know I've rarely seen a $0.97 game correctly marked. The ones I got yesterday were all stickered $14.99 ;)

It was $19.97 as of December. I'm not sure if it's gone down with the January drops - I haven't been able to scan it lately.

I am really not happy they are advertising clearance games, people will buy anything they see if they think it is cheap. PaRappa on PSP was $24.97 last month, no idea how cheap it is now but if it was $14.97 or $9.97 people would probably think it is a deal even though it is $5.00 at TRU and was $6.xx at CC with a 30% off deal.
 
I went to look at Sears for the first time last night. All 360 games are in a glass case and nothing tagged lower than $19.99. I probably won't be going back there for some time.

I would actually prefer if they stickered the games, no one shops at our sears for games anyways (no one shops at our sears period for anything but children's clothes), so its not like they are going to get taken if they are stickered. This also saves me the trouble of having to take them to the scanner only to find out that the scanner does not work 80% of the time, there are rare occasions where the scanner does work, but again its rare.
 
just picked up DDR universe 2 (360) for 4.97 and Lair for 6.97. 4 more copies of Lair left. wanted to get DW:Gundam but no where to be found. Oshkosh, WI . thanks to CAGs

They seem to do a good job marking the clearance stuff at my store for the most part, a few others I recall that might be CAG worthy in a few months if they are still lingering around enough stores, Final Fantasy V & VI (both finally going clearances) 19.97, Pokemon Fire Red at 24.97. I saw a fair amount of other things like some GBA games not worth mentioning even at 4.97 this month. Thanks for the heads up on the prices it did help me get a copy of Two Worlds & Lunar Dragon Song for $2 & $1 that they didn't have tagged correctly. I mostly bought MVP Baseball 2005 for the hell of it as at .25 I couldn't help it as it sets a record as the cheapest new game I've ever bought at a retail store without anything like a coupon making it cheaper.
 
All Holiday 2007 Xbox games have dropped to 25 cents. 25 cents! I would try any title for a quarter.
 
just got back from sears and sadly, my 4 sitting singstar ps3 bundles are all gone :(. they were $14.97 when i left them before christmas.. i scanned it and says $4.97! theyre nowhere to be found.

i did manage to grab

DDR Supernova 2 - $9.97
Scene It! bundle - $4.97!!!

i also saw DDR Extreme 2 but its $31.97.. weird since Supernova 2 is the most recent.

its hit and miss with stickered vs non-stickered. so far this past holiday and for this year, the employees are somewhat kind enough to scan stuff for me to see how much they are. i usually only ask those who are willing to help me. i hate the fact that when they do end up stickering stuff, the games gets bought at first markdowns.. rarely theres any chances of them being available after (for me at least). i did find however that one particular sears stickered every single games on their glass cases.

We got PS2 Singstar Country bundle for $24.97 and Two Worlds for $1.97. I found Two Worlds in a stack behind the counter next the tvs. I think it was for one of the employees, but it was just sitting there out in the open not put away for later.

I picked up Two Worlds for $1.97 and Lair for $6.97 at the Raleigh, NC Sears. There no copies of those games left, but plenty of others are still there.

Picked up the last 360 ddr universe bundle for $9.97 in Manassas, VA...the lady ringing me up asked two other people if she was supposed to sell it at that price! I hate "deal blockers".

It rang up $29.99 today.

The Sears website shows Singstar bundle ps3 and Two Worlds in stock at my local Sears store but when I went this morning the games were nowhere to be found. When I scanned the UPC bardcodes they both rang up $1.97.:cry:

$2 and under, you have to compete not only w/ the CAG's and SDers, you have to compete w/ the employees too! One guy at one store admitted to flipping the games to GS and 3 employees at the other store were deal hunting, one of those 3 is an eBayer! I'm not upset by it but it makes for slim pickings.
