Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I picked 2 Warhawk at 16.97 and 2 singstar 80's for 2.97. Both are for trade. Can't find any mercury meltdown with generic code at 4 sears along 405 freeway from long beach to orang county.

if it is, buy the non-clearance merc meltdown from sears 1 and get a price adjustment at sears 2. or if sears 2 has it in stock, just buy it. but i have done this several times. be prepared to drive since not every town has a sears and good luck.
 
When I dropped by Sears yesterday, they had dumped a pile of $14.97 games on top of the current clearance game bin. I bought Tenchu Z for $14.97 since the only other place I've seen that game was Gamestop for $24.99 used. They also had Dynasty Warriors and Turok for PS3 for the same price.

Yah, thats more or less my plan. I have one more sears to check about 15 miles away, and if that doesn't turn up anything, I am going to find a sears that has Mercury Meltdown for $.97 in there system and do the price adjustment, and buy the $20 copy.

Well there's not much you can do other than wait for that store to lower the prices. Or do what phear3D recommended.

#1. Halo 3 Cat Helmet $9 bucks yes $9 bucks brand new sealed might decide to re-sell, Because its Halo 3 and even at $9 bucks I felt it was a ripoff go figure.

I think it might be legit and I'll check after work. The reason I am thinking it is legit is because last week I was at Sears and saw a pile of Armored Core 4 for PS3, Lair for PS3 and Madden 09 for PS3 to the side and I asked if they were for sale and was told no. I am sure the employees were buying them. I knew Lair and Armored Core 4 were on clearance but the Madden 09 confused me since I thought there was no way it was on clearance but maybe it is, or was a mistake in the system?

Normally I wouldn't be so quick to run out and check on something possibly so YMMV but Sears is only 3 minutes from where I work so I don't mind checking. I'll post later tonight what LBP, the Black DS Lite and Madden 09 scan for when I get back home.

Yes, please check that Black DS Lite. I would be all over that! I did see some Singstar Amped and Singstar 80's in a case marked $24.97 and when I asked the sales guy to scan them, he told me that they were priced correctly. Didn't feel like arguing so I just let it go (impulse buy).
 
Is there a set schedule as to when Sears marks down items, like Target does its video games clearances on Mondays and Fridays? There is a certain item at the local Sears I've seen in this thread for a bit lower than the current price at the local store, and it sounds like Sears doesn't match pricing from other stores.

I just need to find the UPC code and don't get out of work for 2 1/2 hours, then I'm heading right over to Sears. I hate when employees say the price is correct. Next time act like you want to buy the games and if it rings up higer say you changed your mind. I am 99% sure both of those Singstar games would ring up for under $5 each.

As someone else already said, it sounds like your Sears may be trying to clear out their game section, since I doubt those prices are universal. I should go to my local Sears and check myself, but I just don't feel like it. Plus, I have NO use for Madden 09 or another copy of Little Big Planet.

Although, if I could get LBP for that cheap, I'm sure I could flip it to someone for $35-40 easily.

what is this ds lite for $45? we need some proof... also, i highly doubt sears will get rid of games. if anything, its the dvd section they might get rid of since its getting smaller by the day. sears doesnt necessarily need to profit from selling video games, its just to bring people in to shop at their store.
 
They have some singstar bundles here, but they are priced for 24.99, one is singstar 90s in a plastic clam shell and the other one is in a box. These have JAN price stickers on them so I assume the price is correct, as is every other price in the store. I am not walking it over to a scanner due to the fact that sears likes to think that you are a shoplifter if you do that.

No .97 games here left with the white sticker on them, it looks like they pulled the white stickers off and marked up the games, but I could be wrong. I am heading to another sears next week though so I will see what they have.

I did pick up Final Fantasy VI, I really needed it for my collection and I am not letting it sit because next week there is a major event in this mall and I expect sears to get wiped clean.
 
I found a 360 HD-DVD player $4.97 and Two Worlds 360 for $1.97.
I wanted some of the Singstar PS2 games but they are all $49.99 or $24.97.
If someone wants the HD-DVD player and is willing to trade any of the PS2 singstars (game only) send me a PM.

Also Madden and LBP rang up for $59.99.

can someone please tell me how you are getting ds for 45 dollars and other games for 5 dollars i dont get it,everytime i go to a kmart or sears they have regular prices.

Went back to my Sears this weekend and they had re-scanned/sealed/whatever a bunch of games. Zoo Keeper had its generic UPC sticker gone and looked to be resealed. I had the manager scan it and it came up $9.99 :roll:. Didn't even bother with the rest of the games. They've put all clearance games on their own shelf CLEARLY advertised and had jack sh**. I guess I won't be going back there any more.

That, and the gamestop in that mall didn't have a gripshift either like their website said they did. :bomb::bomb::bomb::bomb: MAN yesterday was a bust all over.
 
LBP, Madden 09 and the DS Lite all scanned full price. Sonic Heroes on PS2 also scanned at full price (had a thought it might be on clearance).

just got back from my sears...didn't really see anything worth picking up for ps3...copies of madagascar going for 14 bucks...i saw one copy of armored core 4 for 15.xx though...wasn't sure if it was worth it so i just passed on it...other than that, business as usual =/

So these Sears deals, like the DDR bundle for 5 bucks, are they stickered at normal price and just ring up at a huge discount? I went to sears today and they had squat. How do I get the better deals?

My tip for success: look at a maps of stores in your area, pick the one in the worst part of town that you can find (preferably in an out of the way area that's not likely to get much traffic). Try there and hope that the employees in electronics are lazy enough to not have updated the sticker prices but the employees in security aren't lazy enough that people have walked off with everything.
 
Does anyone know what type of schedule Sears typically follows for clearance? If and when can we expect another round of cuts? Most Sears are a hike for me and I'm looking to avoid the drive if I'm just going to find the same discounts as last week.
