Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

No. I wouldn't be surprised if Ice Cold totally made that post up. A receipt scan or the store's location (so other CAG's could check it out) would do wonders.

In other news, I price adjusted the Singstar PS3 bundle I bought on 1/3 for $9.97 down to $1.97 yesterday.
 
to be honest though, some sears don't have a video game section anymore....so obviously it's purely YMMV....

mine does, but it's strictly ps3/wii/360/DS games. All other games have clearance stickers on 'em
 
Bah, store I went to today had 9 Mercury Meltdown Revolutions and 3 .hack//GU Vol 3's but since they didn't have the clearance stickers they rang up at regular price.

The .hack//G.U. Vol. 3's never had the 2nd UPC sticker. They were always on clearance based on their own UPC. Not sure why they wouldn't ring up for $0.97 at your store, other than Sears clearance games are YMMV. There have been a few isolated cases where clearance games at some Sears have been ringing up normal MSRP at other Sears, but those cases are few and far between.

same here. they didn't have emerald, and I didn't want FFV, but I did grab FFVI and leafgreen(probably wouldn't have gotten this either, but considering I found fire red CIB at a pawn saturday I felt compelled to complete the set) for $20 and $25. The rest of the selection wasn't very good... they had some GBA games like rave master for $5 but they didn't seem worth the money or space on my bookshelf.
 
You know, could anyone check the Halo 3 Legendary Edition's UPC if they are going by sears (I think the UPC is 482224444493), better to check in the odd chance Ice Cold is on to something. I have seen a few floating around at sears, but never bothered to check.

Gamestop in my area has Gripshift but no case/manual. I do have three copies of completed Gripshift sets.

All the ones I've been to have it for $19.97 or $24.97. Definitely YMMV.

Picked up Eternal Sonata Xbox 360 on Sunday. Came up at $16.67 and after a $5 gift card i had was $13ish after tax. Still a good deal.
 
Wow what a dissapointment. Decided to drive out to the Sears about 20 miles away (Eastfield Mall Springfield Mass.) They had a bin of clearance games-in fact most of the same titles others are reporting except at crappy prices. How crappy? How about Assasins Creed DS on clearance for $14.97! I picked this same title up last week at a different Sears for $4.97! Bullet witch 360 for $9.97. Eternal sonata $16.97.

I took a bunch of titles to a scanner hoping they would scan at the clearance prices we've seen at other stores but no clearance games were in the system! I asked the clerk if the price marked was the real price & he said priced as marked. I asked him if he was sure as I had seen trhese titles much much cheaper at other sears & he said the price is what you see.

Wasted trip.

Found Odama new for $4.97. It was pennied out, but I saw the cashier scan it, then quickly adjust the price to $4.97. There were two left if anyone wants to hit the one on Sweetwater rd in Spring Valley.

In my experience with Sears shopping they don't penny out items. Instead the screen prompts "ENTER PRICE" for an older, out of the system item, to which the cashier will usually enter the sticker price. I did have one case recently on an older GBA game where the cashier entered the price as $0.97 since I was buying several other GBA games at $0.97 each.
 
Usually they refuse to sell those items to me. I guess it really depends on the employee though. I remember about a year and a half ago they had a DS AC adapter tagged $3.97. It was out of the system and the cashier said he couldn't sell it to me. A few weeks later I saw it in the case again and tried to buy it with a different employee ringing me up. He entered $3.97. I would have liked to have gotten it for less especially since it probably went down to $0.97 at one point but it was the official Nintendo one and since original DS (not DS Lite) accessories were and are difficult to find, I bought it.

no ur wrong. i use that register every weekend. when vom(very old merchinse) it goes to zero. that means that there is no price. in reality u arent suppose to sell it, more or less have it on the floor.

there is no price in the register and nothing indicates u must put a price it. i could easily make it a .01 or $25. all comes down to what a manager says. but most of the time they say to find another video game that is clearance and make it that price

I had to pay full price for Tetris DS, although that's probably my deal of the year since it's nearly $50+ on ebay.

Pikmin 2 could have been better, because it scanned out of the system...

Gripshift has been feeding me nice games :)

I'm just reporting what I've encountered at Sears. I've seen it with my own eyes. The employee scans the item and it prompts him to enter a price (it literally says ENTER PRICE). I'm not sure if I'm looking at a different type of register then you are, but I clearly saw the words ENTER PRICE on the screen. At that point the employee would usually enter the sticker price, or in my recent situation, enter a price equal to the price of similar items I was buying.

It's happened to me when games scanned out of the system. In one case, he scanned other clearance games from the same system, and then entered the lowest price. In another, he scanned the game and only the MSRP came up. It probably never went on clearance though.
 
Picked up Klonoa 2 GBA for $.97 for my son and a Scene It LCA for 360 for trade if anyone wants it (Looking for PS2 singstar games ) send me a PM.
 
I have been to a few sears stores in the last 5 days and I have noticed that they are taking the sticker upc's off of the games. They still have the big front sticker that shows the price, but they take the back upc off. They all scan at Full Price too. I found a few games they forgot to take the upc's off of but it's just odd they would think the games that did not sell would sell for a higher price now?

YMMV. some sears prices them high some lower. in this case the op found it cheaper. were not really sure if its the bundle or just the game.
 
Another thing I wanted to ask, my Sears has an Eye of Judgement bundle for PS3, it is completely unmarked, anyone know how much this is?

The one that I purchased for $ 2.93 is the bundle with 4 controllers. Do you know if the buzz ps2 controllers will work with PS3?

I also notice the PS3 cooler is on the markdown lane $ 22ish and Singstar Country Bundle, Singstar Amped Game only also about $ 24.97 and $ 14.97. The 4 Sears that I visited last week has at least 15 of the cooler

Yes, any Buzz Controllers, work on any of the Games. Wether on PS2 or PS3.

The bundle someone reported getting for PS2 that had Mojo, Crossword Puzzles and Pinball Hall of Fame for $0.97, I found it but it has a different type of sticker in order to ring up for the clearance price.

If you scan the regular barcode on the back it scans for $9.99. There was some Sears sticker on it (not like the generic UPC codes), that was yellow and said $9.99. When that sticker was scanned, it scanned for $3.97. Not $0.97 but for $1.33 a game, I bought it.

It's probably the only deal I've found at my local walmart.

When I went to sears a couple months ago they had it on the rack with a $35 tag above it. I asked them to check the price, to which it rang up $70.00, but I guess since it was displayed at the other price the associate automatically adjusted it to match that price.

The Sears clearance are not a guarantee, but is worth the look. It really depends on your Sears. This is known as YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary or as I call it Your Market May Vary).

It varies from store to store. Sometimes i've had clearance games scan in at full price, and sometimes they scan lower/higher. Usually what you see on the first page is the lowest price you can find it for.
