Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

You create the UPC yourself, print it out, and take it to a self scanner.
 
I have gotten DDR Super Nova 2 bundle for the PS2 for $9.97 (Got two copies, so I could have two mats), DDR Universe 2 for the 360 for $4.97, and a Marble Madness/Klax GBA games for $1.97. Also, I have seen BWii for $19.97.

Also, I have seen the 360 GHII bundle for $24.97. Hoping that will go down even more before being sold.

Anther note, Super Mario 64 DS and Animal Crossing Wild World aren't ringing up clearance price anymore, and Dragon Quest Swords got raised to $39.99
 
you get the UPC code number and go to upcdatabase.com, enter it and copy and paste it to paint or word and print it out. I can get around 16 - 20 on 1 sheet using word.
 
Finally found some stuff at my Sears. I've checked this same store in the past, and none of this stuff was out on the floor...

360 Scene It: Lights, Camera, Action Bundle, $9.97
360 HD-DVD Drive, $4.97
Wii Boogie Bundle, $4.97
PS3 Singstar Bundle, $4.97

They also had Eternal Sonata (360) for $16.97, but I had seen that before, and a couple of copies of Manhunt 2 (PSP) for $4.97, which I almost bought, but I knew I was going to have a hard enough time explaining the rest of it to my wife.

Looks like I'll be heading out to my local sears to see if they have a copy of Scene It and a buzz ps2 bundle (passed earlier when it was $15 and cuz I don't like wired controllers).
 
ok, i am confused a little. i went into the local sears, and everything was still at normal retail price. games, accessories, everything. nothing was marked down, except a few games marked down to 19.99. again, i am new, so what is the trick to getting the clearance price?
 
Saw FEAR (PS3) marked down to $16.97 today in Putnam, CT. I would have bought it but i just got the Gold Edition for PC a couple of weeks ago for $15 on Amazon.
F1 was $19.97 PS3

No trick really. Either your Sears was sold out of clearance games, or they didn't mark the games correctly. What you should do is write down a list of the titles you want (based on the most recent posts from the last week or so) and go back to that Sears. If you see any of those titles at that Sears, check the price of the item by scanning it.
 
Picked up Two Worlds in Coral Springs for $1.97.

Why? I don't know......

Perhaps since I have not bought a cheap game for a couple of weeks, I needed my "fix".;)

Is it really as bad a game as I have heard?
 
I found Two Worlds to be a complete turd as a game. However it does trade for $3 base at GS so with edge & pairing it with 2 other next gen titles, I flipped it for nearly $7. Definitely worth the $1.97 investment.

Heres hoping that the next GS promo is a no min trade value, all systems deal cuz I'm sittin on a bunch of craptastic .97 PSP and DS titles from Sears.

I think it might have been majorly YMMV. There was only one copy at my sears and it's been sitting there for awhile, so they probably just tagged it. They have a pretty big clearance section but it's mostly shovelware.

Also, I bought it about 2 weeks ago and returned it when I found out it's not really out of print...

Went to Sears (Gaithersburg, MD) tonight.

Assassin Creed DS rang up at $4.97, didn't bother getting it
no PS3 Singstar only Vol 2 at full price
no 360 HDDVD player
There was 1 360 DDR Universe 2, but I couldn't find any sales associates to unlock the case and scan it
 
I am about to go hit up my Sears tomorrow morning to see what kind of clearance games they have, i know that they should have a plentiful stock seeing as how nobody shops at that mall anymore hopefully they have a vg section still
 
Checked out my local Sears (a bad one) with my new UPC sheet. Most of the desired prices didn't show up at their lowest (.Hack, Full Auto, Singstar, Two Worlds, etc.). The ones that did weren't there (Genji, Untold Legends, HD DVD Player). The only exception was that I found 2 Mercury Meltdowns for $.97. I'm guessing these have no GS value. I do have my dad's birthday coming up though.

If I'm not mistaken, Mercury Meltdown trades in at $5 at GS.
 
My local Sears finally repriced their clearance stuff.

Last night I picked up:

PS3
Lair - $6.97
College Hoops 2K8 - $4.97

I left the Warhawk Bluetooth bundle for $16.97. Should have got it, but I picked the game up from Amazon for $9.99 just a couple weeks ago. So i left it for some other fortunate soul to pick up. This was in the LaVale, MD Sears.

Correct, and it's eligible for the promotion to save $30 when trading in two Wii games toward select titles, so the value can be bumped up to $15 for each one.

During the B1G1 sale at BBV, this was an automatic 3:1 flip since there were a lot of $9.99 Wii games that qualified for the promo. You already have a $.97 game that qualifies. I'm sure it wouldn't be difficult for you to get find a $5 or under clearance game at KMart or Sears to pair with it, which would give you a 5:1 flip at the minimum. If all else fails, you can try to track down $6.99 games at BBV such as Alien Syndrome, Avatar: Last Airbender, Geometry Wars Galaxies or Ninjabread Man. All of these games qualify for the promo, so you'd get better than a 3:1 flip.
 
Weird, I go from loving my sears to dreading going back. Went today and got squat - Mercury wii still wasn't tagged (and most other things were), two worlds was tagged $9.97 (and not $1.97), and my main interests this time (buzz and scene it bundles) were nowhere to be seen.

Of course, my highlight was seeing a few game only singstar games - pop and amped. They were marked $29.97 and $24.97 respectively, but I have a feeling they'll drop sometime (soon?!).

Wait, are you having these scanned or do you take a upc sheet with you?

You don't actually get $30 off the game, they just add an extra $15 on the TIV of each game. GS does NOT bump the value up to $15, they ADD $15 to each for this promo. I haven't returned the game I got with the promo, but I would imagine there wouldn't be any problem getting the full value.
 
I went to double check a store (Mission Valley, San Diego CA) that I felt like I had brushed over to quickly, and the associate told me they had just moved clearance games into certain areas. Apparently though Far Cry Evolution (for regular XBOX) for $29.99 and Crash Bash (Tagged $14.99, scanned at $29.99) were their awesome deals. Gonna go try the one in the ghetto again where I found all the good stuff.
