Be aware that not all Sears are alike, so prices are definitely YMMV.
List
  • date = date posted or updated
  • cp = current price
  • opp = old posted price
  • (oos) = out of system
  • * = posted at different prices (more than twice, most are)
Colors
  • white = current update
  • dark gray = old (ie. out of stock items)
if the prices are not updated in over a month, it will be colored as dark gray.

notes:
  • Don't turn this into your own trade list. Don't ask people if they want to trade X game for your Y game. PM is the best way to ask. Do your trading on the Sears Trade Thread.
  • Print UPC-A barcodes if you're having a hard time getting someone to open the cases for you. If you need UPCs refer to Half.com (just type the name of the game) or to io's kmart clearance thread. Go to either UPCDatabase.com or Barcodesinc.com to generate a UPC A barcode.
  • If you bring up a game and the employee scans it and does not show up in the system, it is most likely that the item has been pulled out of their inventory (most of us would call it 'out of system'). What this means is that the item must be returned to the manufacturer (so they were told anyways, but i don't believe it..). You can try to get them to sell it to you for the stickered price shown or maybe lower. It depends on the employee or manager.
  • Some of you are confused as to why some games are priced and rung up at retail prices but its listed below as clearanced at their respective clearance prices. Heres a good example:
    • 100607 ... 01.97 ... 09.97 ... Dead or Alive 4 (Non PH) *
    • ^^^^^ notice how the last reported price was October 6, 2007. The Platinum Hits version was also on clearance since it shared the Regular version's barcode. But they put the price back up in retail a few months later. Hence you still see the game now as retail instead of clearance.

I think they can 'take the drop' early if they do not want to wait for the official drop. The hand scanner shows the next drop price and date on it.
 
Anyone have any suggestions on how I could try to suggest to my sears people that they should've put another UPC sticker on MMR without actually saying that. When it rang up 14.99, I tried the "wow, my brother said he found it at his sears for a buck." story, but the guy didn't flinch. My guess is my Sears employees are way too lazy to ever put the sticker on.

Also, whoever is in charge of dividing up the UPC sheet, don't forget that I'm more than willing to help but my Sears is the one without a single price scanner in the store so I have to get the employees to do it. The point is that if someone wants to PM a buch of games to check I'll certainly do that.
 
ye who is it exactly that puts the damn sticker on the clearance games (i mean in terms of who works at sears that does it)??!!..or I should say DOESN'T put the damn sticker over the UPC of clearance games

Nobody at Sears puts another UPC over the main one (and no one working there should remove it either). The ones with a sticker UPC over the original were purchased as different stock as part of a Value Games Holiday 2007 game display. They paid a different price for that stock and that stock is on a different clearance schedule then the other merchandise.
 
Question, there is a Xbox 360 wireless adapter sitting at one of my Sears stores (the 99.99 ones) it appears to be in a clearance bin unmarked, anyone know the price?

Most likely $99.99 and was just dropped there by someone else.. worse case go scan it or have it scanned and you shall recieve your answer ;)

Sorry this is not much help but most Sears are different so the prices may be all over the place.

Since Sears is less then a 5 minute walk away from my house I can go down there sometimes and look for deals. They haven't put hardly anything new out into the bargain bin as of late. The same old games. What bugs me at that my local Sears they don't care and never have prices on the games in the bargain bin.

Not to mention like everyone they are quite desperate for business so they ask you a billion questions once you make eye contact with an expensive item.
 
I finally got my SingStar Bundle PS3 price adjusted from $9.97 to $1.97 :D

For those who got Mercury Meltdown Wii for $0.97, does it have a special UPC sticker?

yes but it is YMMV whether sears employees will actually PUT those stickers ontop of the original UPC
 
Wait...the Sears employees don't sticker those games. They were originally part of a pallet of games for the Holiday Season, which have a single UPC per price point, regardless of title. The clearance price reflects for all titles that share that UPC, regardless of platform. For example, if you were to find one, chances are it would ring up without the title in the description on the receipt. The games are shipped to the stores with those UPCs on them from the Vendor of said pallets of games.

Yes. The UPC on the game packaging itself will ring $14.97. Still on "clearance", hence the $.97 cent ending.

Sorry went back to Sears again last night the correct price is $19.97 so it's on clearance... maybe it'll go down when sears does it's next drop

I rarely hit Sears clearance anymore cause they either never have any clearance games, or the prices aren't as good as everywhere else. And I've hit most of them throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Well, tonight my wife had to return something at Arrowhead mall, so I figured why not. Well, I almost walked away with nothing since I couldn't find anything in the game section when I came across the electronics clearance section, and found two copies of DDR:Universe 2, full bundle. I went to scan, expecting disappointment, but found they were $4.97. Absolutely overjoyed... :)

Bought both, one for me and one for my "clearance buddy" who picks stuff up for me too.
 
Picked up :360: Bionicle Heroes for $2.

Meh.

It had the a generic UPC and the shelf marker said Holiday 08, or whatever year they brought the games in.
 
I tried to pick up Bionicle Heroes but the oh-so-loud-mouthed employee shouted to his friends "Hey, this guy found a 360 game for $2!". Of course the manager came over and rejected the sale. Ughh...

that happened to me before when buying burnout revenge for $2.97, was pissed then came back later to a new shift and bought it.:D
It all depends on what employees are there.

How can they reject the sale? I'd be writing to corporate. It's not like a price mistake or something that is YMMV, not your fault they aren't up to date on pricing.

Writing in to corporate? Oh, hell no! Call corporate from the register. If it rings up in the system, they shouldn't be able to keep you from buying it. It's not it is a price mistake or something. It's company wide clearance for cryin' out loud!

On what basis was the sale rejected? Because of the sticker UPC over the real UPC?

Yeah but what happens when something you do want is clearanced at a good price and they refuse to sell it? It could be a game for $4.97 and they might think it is too low.
 
Because it was a previous Holiday sale. He was smug until the UPC under the sticker didn't ring up. Probably thought I was printing UPCs.

A previous holiday sale? Well that's exactly the reason it was so cheap! It's leftover product from an old sale/promotion/display. There must be morons working at that Sears...
 
Plus when those value games or scanned it will even say "Holiday 07 $19.99" or something like that on the register screen and credit card signing pad area, to show it was $19.99 originally. I was prepared to show how it said Holiday 07 $14.99 when the cashier was looking at the THUG 2 I got for PS2 for $0.97 that was stickered at $14.99 a few weeks ago since I thought he was going to say it wasn't right.

I picked up a copy for $1.97 at my Sears. The guy at the register looked at it, gave a "huh" and rang it up. These YMMV when it comes to Sears are ridiculous and them refusing to sell you something due to their error is way out of line. That manager is going to run across the wrong Gamer one day and Sears will be facing either a Racial or Discriminatory lawsuit of some kind. I work in Advertising for a big retailer and when those things hit our legal department, we ALWAYS (not sometimes) pay up to keep it hush and that person gets fired!

ill be all over that dumb manager if that was me. just because its priced low doesn't make it officially not for sale. if that ever happens again you should definitely not let it go. they cant deny you of a sale unless they have a legitimate and logical reason reason. deal blockers are annoying.
 
I managed to pickup Warhawk with Headset. It was stickered $39.97, I asked him for a price check, as we walked to the register, he said it was 16.something. he bought one for himself a week or so ago for the headset.

Now to check out a few more things.

BTW, the person who asked about the blister pack 1600 live points that was marked $24.99, it is still that price.

I saw persona 3 FES tagged $9.99 at Kmart and instantly grabbed it. I took it up front and it scanned in at $29.99. I disputed it, the guy was really great about it, called the manager, he came over and just ripped off the tag and said "that's not supposed to be there" and walked away.
 
I am really hoping for new drops are in the system tomorrow, I'll probably check Monday since I usually wait until the 3rd or 4th of the month and I know some stores even take a few days longer than that

I stopped by an out-of-the-way Sears that I hadn't been to in months a couple days ago, and they didn't have jack shit in the way of clearance games. I stopped by another Sears on my way home and grabbed the last copies of "Full Auto 2" (PS3, $0.97) and "Scene It?" (X360, $9.97).

What kind of trade-in value are we looking at for "Full Auto 2" these days?

I've been to a couple Orange County, CA locations that have Tiger Woods 07 but priced at $20 instead of $5. I thought these prices were company-wide and not store-specific.
